Great! The walk is pretty far (not accessible by road alone). There is a wooded area within the dog park. It’s also separated by dog size (small dogs have a safe space to play too).

Awesome place but a bit out of the way. Worth the trip though to the enclosed dog park. One area for smaller dogs, one for bigger dogs. Flat areas, treed area along fenced enclosure with paths both inside and outside the fenced enclosure. Running water a short walk in the woods. This time of year, fall, is beautiful. The dogs that come here are friendly. However if your come for socialization, there are many times you be on your own... depends on the day and your timing. Weekends are busier. Winter time pretty empty.

Our husky loves this dog park and we love how large the enclosed area is. It is wonderfully clean and the separate enclosures for the smaller and larger dogs is an extra bonus.

This is a lovely dog park, lots of space for dogs to poke around, a nice wooded area, and a small dog space. It's a bit of a walk from the parking lot, so not the place to go on a lunch break. Occasionally the other dog owners congregate in the middle rather than moving around, but it's not a consistent issue, and there's enough space to avoid them unless your dog is a magnet for strangers like ours is.

Huge enclosed area - our dog loved it! Friendly people and other dogs. They also provide poo bags for cleaning up which is nice. We loved it and will definitely be back.

Fantastic off leash park. It is about a week 1 km walk from the parking lot and has a separate area for small dogs/puppies to ensure everyone has a good time.

I didn't use the park but I passed by it while it was occupied. The dogs within the park seemed very happy, they had room to run around and play leash-free.

The dog park is fine, it's some people who visit it who are idiots that make it NOT fine...."leave no trace" signs should be posted to remind lazy @ssholes to not just drop their garbage on the ground, where dogs can eat it and possibly get sick or die. Please, don't be an @sshole.

One of our favorite spots. Huge open area and a section of wooded area. There is a separate area for little dogs. It can get very hot in the summer with limited shade. Bring water for your dog and you.

Full marks for the experience once we arrived at the park. The initial transfer area inside the first gate leads to two more gates: one to the small dog (restricted to under 25 pounds) gated park; the other leads to the main (unrestricted) park. Both parks have a nice mixture of grass, bushes, and forest to wander or run through. The small dog park is only a quarter of the main park's size but it's plenty big enough for little legs. But I'm deducting 2 stars because the parks are 400 metres from the nearest parking spot. That's a considerable distance to travel - especially for the dogs with little legs as they end up having no energy left to appreciate the park upon arrival (at least, that was our experience with our small dog). Why on earth did the park planners feel they had to locate the dog parks so far away from there rest of Kiwanis Park?

Hard to find. Typing “Kiwanis Dog Park” into a GPS takes you to someone house. But once you find the park, it’s worth it. Tons of room for pups.

Long walk to the dog park, but it's just a "walk in the park" so no big deal. Not nearly enough parking, and no parking on the street nearby. If you get there at a busy time you're hooped.

WOW! The walk there is long, however, it's a beautiful walk through tall trees and a wide clean path. The off leash itself is huge and has trees you can walk through on the one side. Poop bags and garbages are provided at the entrance of the fenced area. It has an interlock which goes to separate entrances to a small dog off leash and a large dog off leash. Definitely recommend. Will upload more photos next time!

It's a beautiful dog park in a very secluded area. That's the only negative point, because it takes 15-30 minutes to walk there from the main entrance. But once you're there, it's great! There are two separate areas, one for smaller dogs (under 25 lbs), and another for any and all dogs. There are poo bags and receptacles, but it would be nice to have a water fountain, and maybe a toilet, given how far it is from civilization. But, knowing this helps people prepare. I will definitely come back, just with more water!

Love this dog park... There are trees for shade, no darn wood chips because it has a well established natural grass area. It has never been a mud pit and the dedicated small dog side for 25 lb and under it's perfect! The garbage is never totally overflowing and all over the place and they provide dog bags when you run out.

Bit of a hike from the parking lot, be prepared to walk a slight uphill incline on the way back. Humans should go the bathroom first, no porta-potties. Otherwise it's awesome, the dogs that come are well mannered and it's a great size. The small dog area is also a nice touch :)

My.lil.gumpf loves this place and people are really nice. Careful as some people bring aggresive dogs even though rules state not allowed.

The open area is great for dogs to run around. There is a smaller area for smaller dogs which is nice for more timid breeds. Nice and flat so you keep an eye on your dog, and the small added trees area on the side offers a nice shaded area when it hot out. There are provided dog bags and waste collection bins on site.

This is one of the best dog parks we've been too. People generally walk around the track whilst the dogs play nicely together. Most of the dogs are well behaved and I've only one time seen an owner that didn't pay enough attention to their dog and it got out of hand. Usually, though, it's a great dog park and the best in the area, I think!

It's a great park, the fact that the dog park is in the far back corner gives lots of opportunity for my pup to burn off a bit of energy before we get to the space where she can run around off leash.

This is our favourite dog park in the area. We have two smaller dogs so it's nice that there's a separate small dog area. There's a small path that goes through but it's space that lets the dogs run around and feel like they're running through a forest. There is not often a lot of other dogs there but when they are there's a nice space to play in. It's very clean and to get there you have to walk down along forested path that's very nice.

I really liked this dog park even though the day we went it was empty. It is a nice walk from the parking lot along the grand river to the fully fenced in area where you can decide between large or small dog enclosure. The only issue I had was with the google directions. Do not go to Bloomingdale like google tells you to. It leads to a private lane where I spoke to a lady who informed me that this happens all the time, but I was on the wrong side of the river. Check the directions for Kiwanis park, not the Kiwanis Dog park.

The signage could be improved. We had to ask several people for directions to the dog park itself. Lots of parking, and a beautiful setting. The enclosed dog park for 25 lbs and less was great and the 400 metre walk on the trails from the closest parking lot makes it a hidden treasure. Poo bags were available but bring your own water. There was 1 incident with a very aggressive dog and the owners removed the dog as soon as they were able. The playground at the west parking lot was fun for my 6 year old granddaughter.

This is a great walking trail, I enjoy the dog park here as you have to walk to it. This way you know the dog owner or walker is with their dog and not sitting in the car while the dog run without supervision.

Nice LARGE dog park with two sections, one for all dogs and a smaller area for small dogs (25lbs or less). Neat feature!! Terrain is flat with treed area along one edge. Dog park is about 1km in from free parking lot, so nice walk in and out along paths.

My dogs absolutely love this park. It is put of my way but the whole experience definitely makes it easy for me to drive my dogs there. There is a 1km walk to the dog park if you park at the main park entrance but it is a lovely trail. The dog park has no chairs or tables. Owners are expected to keep moving and walk along a trail which helps keeps the dogs active and separated. Dog obviously catch up with each other and play but are always looking for their owners. The dog park does have poop bags and a little wooden area for the dogs (a trail runs through it so owners can go in too). There is a small dog/puppy park the is separated by a fence. There is no running water at this dog park.

Great dog park if you can catch it while it is quiet. When it is busy, can be hectic with lots of cyclists. The dog park when busy like most other dog parks is not a great place as people dont control their dogs.

Great park, I've only been here a couple times. Although the park is very big and spacious, the couple times I've been here hasn't had to many people with their dogs. This could be both a good or bad thing. My dogs love playing with other dogs so they got bored faster than usual. I would however recommend to bring your dogs here to train just because again the couple times I've been here it has not been busy.
