Nice park but there are better ones in Orillia. Swimming here was closed off years ago due to poor water quality. It's less busy than Tudhope or Couchiching but the amenities don't compare.

Nice quiet park. Smells horrible from the sewage plant but there's never anyone there so it's nice to take the dogs. Must be careful of Wolves at night though, they come from the dump and over to the dog park part. Keep your eyes open if you have a fur baby you take at night. Other than that I actually really enjoy the park, it's clean and quiet.

Off leash Dog park needs major TLC/upgrades. it's a great size but the areas we dont see and our dogs do are littered with broken glass and general garbage. City washes hands of responsibility by posting signs that say watch your dogs due to the site previously being a dump however the park is very large and has a lot of bush which makes it impossible to keep tabs on your dog. Maybe a regular cleaning or make a smaller fenced in area by the main spot would help. Also the fencing in the water will not stop your dog from escaping if they can swim or even walk 6ft out into the water.

Perfect spot with a playground and two baseball diamonds, dog park, and ample parking. Right on lake simcoe. It can be windy so only depending on wind direction do you notice the dump smells, but there are signs in the dog park that dogs should not dig here due to potential garbage below. There are burrs in the dog area and access to the lake so only go if you’re up for a clean up! Also great spot to just park and look out at the water when it’s cold.

There is a dog park in this park that I take my schnauzer too, he really enjoys it there most of the time. The only problem is the burrs, especially in the fall when they are dry. This past year the city tried to remove the burrs, so they were cut back a lot which made the park more enjoyable. Before that if your dog had a coat like mine does, burr city.

Went there to play tennis with a friend, not very crowded, we had the whole court to ourselves. Theres a dog free leash zone where you can let your dogs go have fun. 2 things wrong with it, it's fenced off on land but since it's on the shore your dog could swim away. 2nd thing is the zone is full (saw 5) of burr bush's that stick to your dogs fur. The more fur your dog has the less enjoyable the zone might be. As for the the activities theres tons to do, if you have any sport you wanna practice theres enough space and area to do so. Watch where you step in the grass tho. One more thing about the tennis court, no shade. I hope whoever's reading this is having a good day :) stay positive.

This is a big park with all the amenities it's well laid out with lots of parking and lake front trails. The maintenance crew do a great job on the grass and the park is very clean. It does have an industrial area and across the street but it's well organized and not so noticeable from the park..ther is a recycle area nearby but it's not noticeable either.

Kitchener Park isn't particularly outstanding but offers a nice view of Shannon and Shingle Bay on Lake Simcoe. It's a good place to stop and take a few pictures when in Orillia before heading eastwards.

Lived in Orillia for years and spent many nights here watching my mom play softball. Times have turned and now I watch my son play baseball here as well. Always well kept and has a playground for the little ones while you’re spending time here. There’s a snack bar here as well.

Kitchener Park is composed of soccer fields and baseball fields in the Southend of the City if Orillia. Soccer fields were built over the old dump and located close to the new dump. Can get very stinky with the smell of the garbage throughout the summer. Also located on Lake Simcoe which causes a problem with the geese. Geese have a tendency to leave a lot of poop on the fields which can be discusting at times. The fields are usually well maintained and a good spot to play the two sports. Playground equipment is located in the area for children. There is a dog park and a small walking trail as well. Bathrooms and a canteen also located on site.

Cute place to stop for a nice view of the harbour. It's clean and quiet. Easy to access. Not a lot to do but enjoy the view, but that should be enough if you want to spend quality family or friends time together. Just respect the space and clean up after yourselves. Actually a good place to set up a chair under one of the trees and watch the world go on by. Or just read a good book. Relaxing!

Awesome park and dog park but need to relocate the whole park pr the two dumps amd sewage plant. At times mostly after their business hours it smells so bad. Would have received 5 stars if in another locaton. Tudhope should have the dog park.

Dog park is nice. To bad broken glass and other garbage washes up on the shoreline where the dogs are suppose to swim. Took a Cut on my dogs paw for me to notice it. Picked up a bunch of glass i could see and there was more two days later. Pretty unacceptable. Orillia dump is brutal. I'll bring my phone next time to get pictures. Watch your dogs and check the beach area before you let them enjoy the water.

My daughters soccer team meets there on Wednesday nights and it's big enough for all the teams. Alot of adults and children are in the fields there at one time and it's not overcrowded.
