Made a pit stop here on the way from Vancouver to Calgary and it wasn't too packed, which was nice. The area for safe swimming is quite small, due to strong currents, and staying put in the water was quite difficult. Would not recommend for someone looking to relax in the water.

Nice park with interesting playgrounds and features, would be great for childern! Have a concussion for renting kayaks, water bikes, and games. Food truck is always parked somewhere at the park or by the park, food looks good if you enjoy pizza.

Great beach to cool off on a scorching Kamloops day. There's a kiosk to buy snacks and drinks, and their was live music at the bandshell. The beach itself has a nice, clearly marked swimming area. The current can be strong of you go out towards the far edge of the swimming area, but not an issue close to shore.

A beach on the Thompson river. Very nice. It’s nice and sandy. The beach is in Riverside park. There are washroom facilities available and a change room. There is a nice pier and walkway right beside the beach.

Dirty with geese and duck feces all over. Good thing the swimming area is delineated by ropes so the birds know not to defecate there. So much potential and such a ran down place. Kamloops, look around other municipalities how they took advantage of a water front to make it attractive and pleasurable and make effort to improve that dive

The park and beach are well maintained and kept clean from refuse. Security staff are present and the park offers washrooms, food truck, water park, pier, walking paths, gardens, playground, tennis courts, points of interest and a stage.

We were here in June 2017, the weather was sunny and hot. This park was the ideal place to be, plenty of tree shade, as well as being near the river. There are plenty of seats scattered around the park, as we had a good walk round. Kiosks to buy ice cream, drinks, much needed on a day like this. Plenty families having a good time, as we were. The place to have fun, or just come and chill, this park caters for all.

Such a beautiful spot in kamloops! Highly recommend visiting at any age, lovely walking paths and plenty of benches to take in the views of the river. In the summer it can be a treat to take a water bike out for a ride on the river! Love that you can get ice cream and pizza from the food trucks, so fun!

Riverside Park has something for the whole family. The beach is nice and has some shade, the splash pad is clean and fun for all ages (my toddler loved it) and with the playground right there it’s a days worth of fun. The park is clean, has plenty of shade and the trail is awesome for biking or walkIng. 3hrs free parking July and August was a bonus!
