Great park in Preston. I grew up here in the 1970's to the 1990's and coming back 30 years later it's still a beautiful park. Baseball, BMX track, skate park, picnic areas, places to look at the river, a boardwalk and paths. Lots to see.

The board walk trail is excellent. Once on the trail, you can experience the natural environment. Great place.

Park is huge, and very refreshing to be beside the flowing river. Not maintained, the pathways and roads are all destroyed with pot holes and shattered asphalt. Parking spots are numerous, not enough road signs, and not very easy for first timers to navigate. Picnic areas could be more, and setup better for ease of use. Public seem to abuse as in most other parks, litters everywhere, parking disorganised.

One of the most beautiful downtown parks you will see in Canada. Very large trees, beach, splash park, playground, loads of grass to play on, concert stage, tennis/pickleball courts, dog park, long trail in both directions, old operating locomotive and train nearby, and bathrooms and concessions on site. Floods beach every May to July.

This place is beautiful if you're looking for a peaceful, serene park. Enjoy the sights of all the different birds to ducks. My husband and I love feeding the chickadees, just put your hand out and they'll land, it's a wonderful experience. They have a pond for ducks where I saw my first white mallard one summer 2 years ago. There's many birds from Chickadees, Cardnials, Bluejays, Robin, Ducks and more. For those that like to play Pokemon, it's a great place to catch them and battle.

Newly resurfaces tennis courts are becoming quite popular. There is a noticeable downward slope from the net to the bar lines, but otherwise nice courts with lights and windbreakers.

Riverside park in the Preston area of Cambridge is a great park. There are trails, baseball diamonds, climbing equipment for the kids, lots of picnic spaces, skate park, and a great view of the river. The kids like the splash pad, too. We always enjoy our time there. Summer fun happens here; festivals, fireworks, food, fun, and family events. Often hosts Terry Fox fundraiser in the fall.

Nice park for what it is. Lots of greenery and some nice trees, there are some baseball diamonds, swings/a little playground, a lake and an okay amount of parking. There seems to be a greenhouse as well. Less geese than in Kitchener but still careful where you step. In the parking lot someone tossed a baby diaper so watch out for those too ;).

Nice park with good trails. Definitely a good spot to spend time walking , cycling and running along the Grand River. We went on Saturday afternoon and this was not at all crowded but was perfect for social distancing. Some parts in the trail were mushy but most of it was great. Even on a hot sunny day the trees give lovely shadow and cooling effect. It's was a wonderful afternoon!

Recommend: Great park. Good for families, couples and singles. It has dirt walking paths, several baseball diamonds, two or three playgrounds, one splash pad, a dirt bike path, a skate park, flower gardens, covered picnic areas and a couple of places for restrooms. It is a well-known park used for several yearly events. People fish and canoe on the river. It's all-around good for everyone.

Love. That is the only word I can think of when it comes to this park. I love to run here. I love to take the family. I love to spend time here, visit here, get lost here. This park has a place in my heart always. Not only is it beautiful but it is pretty well kept. I would suggest to visit on a week day, earlier in the day. Its fairly busy and over packed on weekends, but if you can spare the time during the week to get out for a walk or a run, I'm telling you its 100% worth it.

Quite a big park; I've never explored all of it usually just drive in pick a place real close to sit then drive out. I have attempted fishing in the river at no avail. We like to visit this park on the weekends; we pick up some fast eddies on the way and picnic in the park. Lots of room for person of all ages and dogs.

Excellent park with good trails. But recently had an unpleasant experience. People are now smoking in the park even in the kids play areas and throwing lit cigarette buds on to the lawn. I saw a lady throwing cigarette bud carelessly on the grass where my niece was playing. But to avoid an issue I didn’t tell her anything and that’s why I’m posting this review. Hope the authority takes stringent action against those who break the rules.

This Park is one of the largest public parks operated by the city of Cambridge. Baseball diamonds, Soccer Pitches, skate boarding area but that's for the young. So i enjoy the trails and picnic areas throughout this fine park on the banks of the Speed River. This river is navigation orientated for the Grand River Water Shed emptying into Lake Erie. Game fish and wildlife galore Host to the Kinsmen Carnival Rib Fest and a awesome fireworks display on Canada Day make a point of attending. So much more but i leave it to you to discover on your own to discover the magic of this Park Also home base of The Kinsmen Club of Canada Nuff Said

A nice park to enjoy the river from. there is a dock that you can launch kayak or canoes from which is handy. There were a lot of people fishing so I assume it's a good fishing spot. The water is dark/ tea coloured. It is a protected spot but that also means there were a lot of mosquitoes.

Riverside Park is massive and seemingly endless! There are sports fields for just about every organized sport you can imagine, plus a skate park, splash pad, trails and picnic areas. I love coming here on Saturdays in the summer about midday, when it's really active. There is usually lots of different things going on and it's just pleasing to the soul to see so many groups of people happily enjoying themselves.

Thoroughly enjoyed this park. My wife and I were staying at the Delta hotel downtown and it was a short walk to this park. It was a hot day and we came here at about 10 pm for a nice walk around the park. There are washroom facilities available here. There is a spray park, riverside beach, walking trails, playground and tennis courts. If you’re looking for a great park in Kamloops this is the place for you.

We love the playground here. You have to drive all the way around the drive way to find it- a bit hidden. But when you find it there is ample parking, the ground is all rubber mulch. Lovely toddler climber, and a larger jungle Jim that is also suitable for younger kids too. Splash pad is right next to it too. Great picnic space surrounded by loads of fun for kids, natural setting with many critters and birds. We come here often :)

This is a great playground! Huge structure in a variety of levels, with a bridge, sway boat, two slides, monkey bars, flying fox, rolling log, balance beam, ramps and ladders. It's easy enough for a two year old but challenging enough for older kids too. I watched a number of teenagers having fun on the spider web climbing structure. The playground surfacing is wood chips - not my favorite. It is right beside the splash park and washrooms. There are many nearby benches and picnic tables.

The city really need to add grass or something where the old pool used to be, at least remove or lower the pipe into the ground, remove the snow fence that only blocks 1.3 sides of the dirt, maybe finish the job you lazy city workers.

First time for fishing the Annapolis River and this spot is under 8 minutes walking distance from Middleton's "downtown" area. Perfect for those on foot, without a car or seniors. Grass was well trimmed and they even have a floating dock easily accessible.

The only thing I didn't like was how many bums were in the park, occupying dark corners of the park making it uneasy to walk in certain areas. Its part of society, but very unfortunate to see.

Went for Canada day. The fireworks were the best around. Food was overpriced, but that's expected at these types of events. When we were leaving the staff hired to direct traffic were simple minded to put it in the nicest possible way. Had everyone going out one way, said people could go the normal way, after waiting and not moving more than a few feet for over 30 minutes we turned around and went the way we wanted to originally and got out within 2 minutes.

Great park for kids! This playground was built for 18 months to 5 years old kids. It has soft ground and multiple slides. Easy access to playground from parking lot which was paved and has a washrooms near by. Many larger trees provide great shade for those hotter day. Other near by features include infant swings, big kid swings, tennis courts, and splash pad. This is a great park for big and little kids.

This has got to be one of the biggest parks in Cambridge. Great place to bring the kids for the day to play in the splash pad & there's a creative right next to it for when they are done getting wet. Sadly, they removed the animal enclosures but if you're a bike enthusiast like myself then you'll enjoy the dirt and bmx/skateboard track they created in it's place & also some nice long trails to wonder down.

Free entry park with 1 washroom close to the play area for kids. Really big park, plenty of walking distance. Beautiful boardwalk where you can bird watch, near the middle there's a corner where you can observe and check out how many snapping turtles you can find. Minnows turtles ducks swans etc. Lots of cute safe wildlife.

The splash pad opened up on July 19th at 11. An employee cleans it every 15-20 minutes. See my pics for more info on how they run the splash pad now under Stage 3 rules. The playground is open too. This park has tennis courts and trails. Large events like Ribfest, the city of Cambridge's Canada Day events, and fireworks are held here. Parking is throughout the park in various locations.

There was a carnival going on this weekend. So my kids had a great time going on some rides but paying for it was not fun for me. The prices are too high for what you get. It cost $40 for 26 tickets ($1.54 per ticket) & each ride was 3 tickets each, so our visit lasted about 1 hour. It makes me happy to see them have fun & be happy @ ages 5 1/2 & 3 1/2, but the ride times were kind of short. Oh well, it is an experience for them that matters & once or twice a year is not so bad.

Pump track has different levels, so great for my 4 year old and my 6 year old! Then to go play and cool down by the playground and splash pad -- perfect! All pretty close together, so an easy walk on nicely paved paths. Well done with this one, Cambridge!

Riverside park is definitely the best park in the city for younger people. they got a nice skate park, with maintained dirt jumps and pump tracks for all rider levels. also they got a splash pad and benches.

It was a pleasant visit. We went with our Summer Camp. The kids had fun at the splash pad followed by the swings. They had a few games of soccer and finished off with a walk back to the parking along the lake stopping on the way to watch the geese. The only flip side was wading through the geese poop.

We love this park in the summer, but it's even nice in the winter. The playground area is somewhat surrounded by trees, so we come here on windy days in the fall and winter to avoid some of the windchill. In the summer, our two girls love the splash pad and playground, and we love all the shade that's available. We live in Kitchener, but we happily come down to Cambridge for this park.

It's by the river. There's a water park for kids - the kids always look so happy running around there. Fun events happen there. There are benches to sit and grass as well if you prefer that. It's just perfect for all park purposes.
