Nice sandy beach on the river. Easy parking in lot for free. Also a dog beach so if you love dogs it's good, if you don't, then not your place.

2 dew claws up! Paws down, this is the best dog park I've ever had the pleasure of going to with Macc. It features a huge grassy knoll away from busy traffic and the biggest beach a dog did ever see that extends far beyond what you can see initially. There are public washrooms seasonally. The only thing I'd add is a water fountain open year round at the top of the park for the senior dogs or shy dogs that don't make it down to the river. Heads up for goose poop if your dog is a poop eater.

Nice dog park just went there on a whim from Vancouver and spent an hour there saw the dogs playing and they were enjoying it

Such a great place to bring your doggie! We kept our timid girl on leash and had three great swims here with her during a recent trip. 99% of dogs are well behaved. Lots of space even during busy times.

The park and beach are both equally terrible, unless you REALLY love both dogs and loud noise. There is a law against dogs being off-leash within the park (as it's an open park, not /specifically/ for dogs), but that doesn't stop owners from ignoring the rule. Dogs might be allowed to free roam on the beach, but that isn't good enough for the owners and so they take them off-leash within the park, too. Dogs run rampant throughout the beach, park, parking lot, and have even run into the street and into the yards of the homes nearby. Nobody cares. As if that wasn't bad enough, there's the noise. Constant barking that can be heard throughout the neighbourhood is one thing, but the people are somehow even worse. Yelling, screaming, blaring loud bass all day and many times throughout the night...all of it becomes even worse in the summer. It's basically just a hotspot for the absolute worst of Kamloops. Unless you really love dogs and can tolerate the noise, I'd suggest finding another park. If you're considering moving downtown then I'd highly recommend picking an area far away from this one. If you want to walk in a park and take in the view, stick with Riverside Park. Owners there are trying to bend the rules despite there being a no dog rule, but for now it's still a haven from both dogs and all of the noise.

This dog park is great to socialize and exercise your furbabies. The gentle grassy slope on the east end, mature trees, and areas to sit, as well as full access to the river frontage. Plenty of parking, washrooms and picnic tables make for a great place to hang out. Woof!

Lots of parking, convenient location, large enough park for the doggies???????? to let loose for a good run. Great beach area where the doggies can enjoy playing or swimming as well. Picnic tables and benches for people to sit and lots of beautiful trees.

Go under the Red Bridge, walk on a great (not off-leash ????), and you are walking on the green mile ???? great walk thru the trees, takes you to Riverside Park, behind Sandman Center Arena. Fantastic walk!
