This is a great place to go for a quick hike or to take your dog for a walk. It is located right in the heart of Kamloops so you don't need to a vehicle to drive out of town very far to get a good hike in. There is a beautiful waterfall which leaves you feeling calm and peaceful.

Closest Peterson Creek trail gate to my house. It was fixed up by the city last year and it's a lot easier to access now. Takes about 20 minutes to walk downtown through this trail.

Great all year except winter when sone of the steeper trails ice over and can be treacherous. Walking from Whiteshield up to the creek in the summer is a personal favorite of mine.

Very pretty park. Many trails on both sides. Be careful, the ravine walls are very step at parts and could be potentially dangerous for little ones. Nice views and a variety of wildflowers in the spring.

I love the diversity of scenery found in this park. So many trail options that take you to various scenic vistas.

No parking but good access from local residential area. I enter here and walk down to White shield and back up. Icy in the late winter.

I'm from Vancouver Island, and I've never hiked around this kinda of area until now. The high vistas were breathtaking, with several great spots to sit and take it all in. While it looks pretty vertical, many of the trails were very moderate, following the valley walls. Some cliff outcroppings were particularly awesome! While there were warnings for bears, I didn't encounter any wildlife in my afternoon Summer hike but those large flying cricket type insects that are very prevalent in the area.
