I really enjoyed this park, we went there because of how close it was to the water. The beach part has a lot of nice sand, and the water was fantastic! It wasn't dirty, I felt ok swimming in it and letting my kids swim in it. The water was also really shallow, perfect for little kids, theres no sudden drop off close to shore. There's also a lot of trees so you are garenteed some shade. We didn't play in the park but there was a ton of volleyball courts, fun for the hole family. (They also had a toilet there!) So happy we came across this park, we will definitely be back (despite someone stealing my husband's wallet hahah)

Besides the trash and tents left by vagrants, the beach is nice and the sand is clean. Beach accessible when the river is low only July-April approximately. Off leash dog area and swift river currents. Be safe.

The city really needs to add some more waste cans, one is not nearly enough. Outhouse is behind building by volleyball courts. The beach area is underwater from May to early July. Please take out everything you brought with you. Including dog feces!

Love the size of the beach and the trails to walk on. Being right in town sure makes it nice to swing by after work or if you don't want to go too far on the weekends. The few homeless people in the trees is sad to see but I have never experienced any problems with them.

Great place to go for a walk or swim dog friendly just really be aware of the little nooks and crannies where drug Addicts or the homeless might hide. Found used dirty needles

Amazing place, we are so jealous of Kamloops! Good job city! After visiting your parks we started looking at properties to move here, that is how we loved what we saw. Well not gonna happened prices reflect the value, fair enough. Again City of Kamloops you work hard!

I walk the beach daily with my little dog. Great place for families as the kids can build castles in the sand. Awesome place to be and the scenery where the 2 Thompson rivers meet. If you lucky you can spot deer wondering, even a Lynx has been recently seen. Also herons, cranes, pelicans, swans ducks and geese cruise the area.

Plenty of parking, and close access to sandy beach. Soft sand, glistening river and a gentle breeze. The beach itself is spread out, so a lot of people can enjoy themselves while maintaining adequate social distancing Sand can get very hot, borderline burning your bare feet.

Beautiful sunshine every morning for beachcombing, yoga, beachball volleyball, plenty of room for a game of football, soccer or even fetch with your favorite sidekick!! This park always has plenty of foot traffic along the beach too on the paved pathway where theres plenty of smiles along the way.

Over lander Park is a great spot to experience the meeting of the rivers. Busy spot on hot summer days but quiet at other times. Great spot to take Fido for a walk as well. Just be aware that the current is quite fast here and it drops off quite quickly. Keep your eyes on your fries.

Great park with many other beaches around. You can float the river as well and land at pinoeer or overlander. We are lucky to have these spots. Please keep dogs on leashes at the park and pick up after yourselves.

A great view, clear water, gives you absolute peace. It was worth every second that we spent there. The view is awesome.. we spent a lot of time here. I would definitely recommend this place if you are on a family/ friends tour.

A beautiful park that's very well maintained and not overly crowded. Had live music when I went which was great, a beautiful beach, and was warm and comfortable well after sunset. Definitely my favorite spot as of yet in Kamloops!

This is a great location if you have a dog, and it's a hot day. The park includes an off-leash beach where you can play with your dog in the water. Be sure to check on the water levels, though: there are times when the river is very high, and during those times, the beach is covered with water.
