Natural quiet no garbage on trails

Beautiful area for walking with trails long enough to follow for an hour or perhaps two. Lots of wildlife including deer, chipmunks, waterfowl (by the pond), birds, and insects. The main trail follows down from a grassy pine wood, past some ranch land, down to a plateau, covered in sagebrush, overlooking the valley which offers a nice view of the sunset. The main trail is fairly wide with moderate grade — easy walking. There's an outhouse at the trailhead / parking lot.

Fun trails to go for a run close to the city.

We call this the landfill park, because its right next to one, but you would never know. I has many paths which are partially treed. Nice view of the valley once you get there.

This is our local biking hiking trail network. Aside from being dusty it's a beatiful area.

The Dallas-Barnhartvale Nature Park offers many trails for all ages and skill levels. The trails are well marked, maintained and catagorized from Green Squares (easy) to Black Diamonds. The trail system connects with another set of trails on private land known as the Blackwell Trail System. The Blackwell Trails are open to the public but are not part of the the official city park. Great views can be seen from both.
