Beautiful place. I will definitely go again, new favorite place.
Beautiful scenery
Beautiful lake! The small campground is nice, and there's a good sized parking lot for day use. The beaches on that side are rocky, but nice. The huge sandy beach is across the lake, you can drive there and walk down the trail to get to it, or paddle across from the day area like we did. The views here are amazing! The water is pretty cold, but my kids still enjoyed swimming.
It's really underused during the week, I was on the lake by myself for most of the morning.
Decided to do a bit of an unscheduled trip up Silver Lake Road to do some photography for City Sidewalk Strategy & Marketing and was pleasantly surprised when we came upon Silver Lake. Stopping the Jeep on the east side of the lake we walked down to a sandy section of the shore. Our dogs immediately started playing in the crystal clear water and swimming around chasing dragonflies. Shortly after arriving we noticed a family of three river otter playing on a submerged but protruding log. They were having as much, or more, fun as our two pit bulls. The road was fantastic and very accessible to almost any but the lowest 2WD vehicle. The drive is a bit tedious but the lake is worth it for sure.
The lake is out of a movie very picturesque. It's nice to find places that match what your imagination can come up with. Super cold water.
Beautiful view
It was a nice area to camp at the forest was funt to play in and the lake was beautiful
Beautiful little lake, nice to paddle, but lots of deadhead/previously logged stumps poking up. A few spots to hang out along the shoreline and the day area has a grassy area with picnic tables. Much of the lake has steep drop-offs fairly close to the shore so not great for kids wading in. Only 25 campsites, a small walk away from the lake, with pit toilets, and no showers.
Beautiful lake very cold still just turned summer, lots of mosquitoes though bring bug spray.
Private and beautiful
Nice clean sites
Beautiful!
You have to drive on a gravel road for a few kms before you get to the lake. The road can be a little rough although you can probably get there with any type of car. The park itself is quite small and parking is limited and I found the lake to be small but beautiful and quite serene. There are mountains that tower over and around the lake which add to the beauty of the scene. Occasionally you can hear vehicles travelling on the far side of the lake as there is a road that runs next to the lake. We found a little nook along the trail path that we sat at and enjoyed the view. People were paddleboarding and kayaking in the lake when we were there.
This is a great lake! Nice and clean but very cold!
Had a great time camping here. Lots of room for the kids to bike ride. And then we canoed to the other side of the lake and explored the sandy area. I Will come here again
quiet great camping
Love it
Nice place. Cold water and can be a gong show on the Skagit. But nice
Beautiful and clean day use area. Campground looks pretty nice too.
Beautiful lake
Small but has everything, not busy, quite and beautiful
Few people. Nice little lake for kayaking.
I love it there everytime i go I dont want to leave the thing that sucks is there is no cell service its a hard place to stay if you own a business.
Great, clean place, if your looking for masquitoes then your in the wrong spot, :)
Tiny parking and camping areas, anything over 20' won't fit easily. Boat launch ok access, again small parking area so no long trailered boats. Very nice walk around park. Many waterfalls along the way, beautiful scenery all around. Very quiet lake, no bait or barbs, catch and release only. Gravel road going in, but very worth it. Well maintained, no electricity, hand pump water, and best of all, for those wanting to get the kids off the phones, no cell service mwuahahahahaaaa.
Quiet, no masses of people. Clean, clear and beautiful.
Beautiful but quite far from Vancouver
So pretty!
Beautiful scenery
Beautiful site, great views, and nice picnic tables. Very pleased!
Clean and quiet campsite
Absolutely gorgeous lake, and an amazing place to be when you have it to yourself. A lot of geological interest as well, with the sediment in the glacial runoff forming some nice sand bars at the one end of the lake.
Nice views of mountains and water from the lake. Washrooms have no tissues availble in the first day. Water from the pump looks yellowish. Not safe to drink. Can used in washing only. But it was a very good place to enjoy boating kayaking had tenting.
No dogs on beach, no smoking on beach and no alcohol so makes for a quiet day.
A peaceful little day trip. If you pick a nice sunny weekday, you can get out in a dingy for an hour or two and bask in tranquility. Long weekends can get a little busy, but that doesn't make the scenery any less beautiful!
I been there just waste of time and gas????
Beautiful lake, very nice campsites. Park area at the lake isn't dog friendly which is a bummer for dog owners.
This rustic park is located about 20 minutes from Hwy 1. Follow directions from the BCParks website. The road turns to a good quality dirt road partway in. The scenery as you drive into the hills is spectacular with rushing creeks, waterfalls, and coastal forest. On the plus side this park has large private campsites that are mostly level with tables and firepits. There is a small lake surrounded by mountains with a 10hp limit and a small boat launch. Perfect for canoe and kayak. The park is small, and the lake is an easy walk. On the negative side none of the sites have power, water or sewer hookup. There are no water taps but there is are hand pumps for drinking water located in the campground area. No showers. No flush toilets just pit toilets. There is only limited hiking available and no playground for children.
Great place!
Love this place
The Best place to get back and grounded with Nature!
Lovely little spot with a small number of large sites. Lake is great for kayaking. Small dog friendly area with limited beach. The main beach is not dog friendly but is spacious
Love this lake, good fishing. Rainbow and steelhead catch and release only. No bait .Wedding band works for trolling, for flyfishing blackwolly and purplewolly works. Camp site is not bad. Can get busy
Great place for camping. The road is a little rough for about 15 KMs, but totally worth it
The day use area could possibly be considered rustic, but it is natural, with clean water and smaller crowds.
Awesome for a day trip. Kayak and paddle board friendly. Quiet. Clean.
We Visited Silver Lake on September 29, 2011. It was a bright day. The lake was gorgeous.
Ross lake had a forest fire ???? Thank goodness silver lake had a couple of spots open! I had a fully loaded suv with two dogs on was on vacation! Good times
Awesome at all times of the year!
Very nice lake and park .
amazing ????
A few kilometers of gravel road leading up to the lake. Not too bad of a road to get here. I've found this place to be busy everytime I've visited this place. Nice Lake for picnic.
Dirt road to get there. Magnificent preserved lake.
Beautiful
Love the Camp site, the view is stunning and very quiet and friendly atmosphere
Beautiful Lake nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains
It's Closed!
Gorgeous small campsite just out of Hope with great swimming.
Spent the day at Silverlake beach, nice brease lots of famillies with they're kids, lots of spaces every where for a good time.
It's an amazing place to visit. Its beautiful green water lake in the middle of surrounding mountains. Cool and calm lake.
Silverlake is at the beginning of the Skagit Valley offering families a great camping location as well as a beautiful Lake to fish on!
Very beautiful and peaceful location. The camp grounds are spacious and cheap. Beware, however, that the water is too cold for swimming and there's no cell reception.
We had a terrible experience at silver lake provincial park. There is no privacy between the camp sites, they are directly beside one another. Also, the camp wardens were very rude. We went to the beach at night and decided to relax and the camp wardens almost gave us $600.00 worth of tickets for being on private property after hours and for having plastic cups with beer in them. We couldn't believe it. Then, they hid behind a tree by our campsite for a long time and waited for us to raise our voices so they could give us a ticket. We were harrassed by them. We are in our late 20's and had no complaints from neighbours, in fact our neighbours agreed that it was ridiculous! We drove 5 hours to get to Silver lake and we left after one night! Not a nice place and not very welcoming. This park is very family oriented and it does indicate it on the website. Good luck if you've booked a trip there! We haven't any problems anywhere but this place.
It’s absolutely beautiful lake, but the road is bumpy. If you going with small car it’s hard to drive.
So clean, quiet and peaceful.
Nice place for paid camping or a day trip. Lots of rocky beach areas and it is very popular for kyacking and paddleboarding.
What a beautiful place.
Nice spot. Good for boating but cold for swimming. I liked the campground. Parking gets busy around noon
Lovely lake and creek
Beautiful
Nice big lake to go swimming. The road up to it was interesting it switched from pavement to dirt a lot so expect bumps
It's nice and relaxing. Very tranquil. Would definitely want to go back to kayak. I'm not sure how it's gonna be when it starts to get busy but it's a nice place to go picnic with fam and friends and just chill. We just park on the road and never had a problem. Just know that there's no washroom in the area, atleast to where we're at.
Small lil park but a beaut
Peaceful and quiet ...beautiful spot
Attentive and awesome Park Operators who came by frequently to check up on everyone to make sure they had what they needed. Gave info about local town and other parks as well. Just a beautiful spot.
Beautiful and serene. Well kept. We had a lovely time here.
Gorgeous lake at a provincial Park and a boat launch. It is worth walking back down the road to the entrance where there is a beautiful stream running over the rocks. It's very serene and peaceful. The road into the park is terrible!! There are some places it's a washboard road, others when there are giant holes and some with rocks jetting out. You can just drive super slow if you decide to go.
Basic quiet camping
A lovely lake not too far from Hope that is not crowded. The water is clean albeit a little cool to swim in. Good on a hot summer day
My favorite place
Nice lake with camping
Very nice provincial campground with large sites for tenting and good privacy. Beautiful lake for swimming as well.
This place is beautiful and farther down road is ross lake as well
Pretty nice little spot, catch and release fish. Campsites kind of close together, but beautiful area
Nice view of the mountains. Sad that when we went there, there was a lot of dog poop all over. There was also people who started a bonfire when there is a sign in the entrance that says no bonfire.
If you get a chance to camp here do it.
Silver Lake is a nice place to see and enjoy thre great outdoors. In summer you can enjoy the beach, and the other times of the year you can enjoy some outdoor sport and activities. Great place for family events too.
Such a beautiful and quiet place, I can't explain how much is it amazing.
Beautiful scenery surrounded by mountains.
Some great campsites, nice locations and well separated by trees. This area and the Skagit River remind me of the Merced river in Yosemite.
Awesome out of the way park.
Gorgeous view. Pretty chill not too busy. Road has a few potholes but way better then a few years ago.
BEAUTIFUL place for CAMPING,,but it's not FREE to stay overnight. They charge a nominal fee for the maintenance of Restrooms, collection of Garbage and recycling. Firewood is also available with the Ranger on duty. A good approaching road from FREEWAY to SILVER LAKE PROVINCIAL PARK. The CAMPING spots are numbered and on the basis of first come first. You can enjoy the picnic, BBQ and swimming without any charge for day time only.

Love this lake. Well kept and beautiful. Never too busy.
Family friendly and gorgeous view.
Pitiful road ,motorhome be very carefull . No water, no dump, no shower, basic toilet , clean place, not worth stopping if you have a RV
Beautiful lake, breathtaking scenery. The lake is freezing, so unbelievably cold. The Park rangers were courteous and the sites were relatively well kept. Would have liked our campfire pits to have been secured, they were above ground and movable. Had a fabulous long weekend here.
Loved it
Nice trail
Beautiful, big sites, clean
It is beautiful and extremely peaceful. We were able to walk down the trail and find a private little beach area for us to lounge at. There isn't a lot of parking but wasn't busy when we went on a Monday afternoon. We went swimming in the water it was cold and so refreshing as it was 35 degrees out. I didn't like the garbage people left lying around. My daughter found some glass in the water. There is also camping there but we didn't check that out.
Very peaceful clean and lovely lake
Sweet sandspit to take friends and family out on. Lake is quiet without much boat traffic
Too crowded no room for beach or picnic that no table for meal but overcrowding without mask
Very beautiful, gorgeous area
Cool little lake filled with stumps that looks nice to fish until the idiot starts water skiing and ruining the little lake for everyone else.
I love Silver Lake. It's a great place to get away and relaxe. Only a 10 min drive from town.
This place is beautiful
Bathrooms are old and stinky. But views and sites are nice.
Beautiful place, but water is cold.
Beautiful, but the day use area is a bit lacking in tables.
Wasn't here at the end of the day on Sunday and wow! Such a magical place to paddleboard at! It's a must-see when near Hope.
Great spot, pretty quite, beautiful lake.
Very nice place Allah gave us every thing .Alhumdolillah
Beautiful scenery, staff keep the park well kept and clean. The boat launch has plenty of parking.
Creative camping and canoeing!
Great place for camping especially if you want to stay close to town.
I always like going here. Nice campground that seems to be nice & quiet. It's much closer to the highway than when I was a kid ;)
Great place for picnic hike bring you food your dog enjoy life
Beautiful little hideaway
Great place !!!
Quiet and peaceful but the road is rough
Awesome definitely coming back
Camped after the season .... was so quiet and peaceful... i know ill go back same time next year.
Beautiful Lake
I've been here a few times with my family..the first time my daughter wiped out on her bike (on the gravel road)and required stiches in her chin..the second time we had someone walk around our campsite after we went to bed with a flashlight and stayed for quite sometime even put a log of wood on the fire...it was pretty scary ..but alas not a bad campsite..we are going back in 2 weeks with our guard dog this time..
(Translated) Nice lake, but bad road to drive there. (Original) Køn sø, men dårlige vej at køre dertil.
Love this park , great camping , clean facility
Nice quiet clean lake but darn cold
Lovely spot to visit
beautiful
Crime is bountiful. ..recommended extra insurance.
Best place for private picnic area and nice beach
Well looked after campsite. No beach but beautiful lake and surrounding area. Hiking and rock climbing close by. Wish the trail along the lake was better maintained but still an enjoyable place to spend the night or even just the day.
Great campground beautiful lake fantastic place for the day or a week
I've been able to get a camping spot everytime I've been here so far. It's also a cheaper spot to camp costing $18 per night.
very nice
Stunning lake a short walk away from the parking lot. We went when it was slightly raining so it was pretty quiet. The road up is not easy but my compact car managed fine, going nice and slow.
So nice
Always nice there wishes could get a spot to camp there.
Its a nice lil lake
Serene
Well-maintained campsites, and really clean facilities. The individual camp sites aren't as private as I'd personally like, but I'm sure many wouldn't mind.
Love the campsite. It is smaller than other campsites but the Lake is peaceful and beautiful. Lots of bathrooms and garbage areas through out the park. First time being there and we were pretty impressed. They do a great job maintaining the grounds. We did a bit of catch and release fishing but none to be caught. Pretty smart fishes lol.
Amazing! Quiet surroundings, stunning views and lively campground for the kids to roam in the woods and be wild.
Great place to spend peaceful time
scenic lake but the lake shore is steep with gravel beach not suitable for kids to play.
Beautiful and quiet. Not many people camping right now
Was disappointed to find out there were several double bookings and unreasonable campers to ungentlemanly work things out. Humans are terrible when it comes to conflict resolution.
We kayaked on this lake in July 2019. The lake was a little small for our desire but it is in a beautiful location surrounded by mountains. They do have a boat ramp. There was no day-use fee. You must drive several miles of dirt road to get there.
Decent campsite lots of reserved sites
We arrived on Friday (i'm 44, spouse 47) to find the campground full. To be expected. Left the campground and found a pull out to set up a tent. Little did we realize we were not allowed to camp where we did. There were no signs telling us otherwise. The park wardens showed up and told us to pack up and leave (just before dark). I tried to explain that there were no signs and i will leave in the morning. We were harassed all night and it started again at 7:30 am. The park manager showed up yelling at us without identifying himself.(red jeep and plain clothes) I had to ask who he was to which he rudely answered "the park manager" this is my park. Told us we had to leave immediately (7:30-8:00 am). At 8:30 am another warden came to a screeching halt in front of the site and came out yelling. Very confrontational. I tried to explain that we were leaving, but it wasn't fast enough for her.. a yelling match ensued. she told us that she was tired of cleaning up after pigs and people that don't listen. (i left the site cleaner than when i arrived). She did apologize to us later and told us she was new at the job. I spoke to another couple that were going through the same thing, they had an "eviction" notice put on their car as the wardens didn't directly talk to them. They left fearing their car would be towed. Where the camped there were no signs advising otherwise. We did pack up and found another spot outside the boundaries of the park where we enjoyed the rest of the weekend.
Close to home always meet great people
Beautiful and easy to CAmp there!
The only sounds were birds chirping and the waterfall on the mountain across the lake.
Beautiful, clean, large private campsites, lots of garbage cans/recycling/washrooms and friendly helpful Park Staff
Good spot, nice water
Visited on Sep 27th, 2020. Nice and peaceful lake. Not too far from Hope and easy access. Approx. 10mins of gravel road before the lake.
Being in Hope, B.C., rivers and lakes were only about a 5 minute drive to stunning views and peaceful places. Silver Lake was a fun and gorgeous place to visit and sit along their small beach.
Love this camp ground. Great for kids
Beautiful place to swim or kayak on a hot day!!
Small lake, far from the big cities. Water is warm because I think it is a shallow lake. There is a small beach close to the lake outlet, across the bigger beach. Very quiet place.
Good hopefully the road will be fixed up for the summer after the landslides.
Nice campsites. Fantastic scenery. Hard to know in advance if you will be downwind of toilets.
(Translated) Beautiful lake - but not something to drive for unless you have seen everything else in Hope and the surrounding area (Original) Køn sø - men ikke noget man skal køre efter, medmindre man har set alt andet i Hope og omegn
