One of the most beautiful and well kept parks in Hamilton. Perfect place to spend time with friends and family whether it’s a run, bike ride, or picnic. Many trails that stretch along the water, and a small beach with a volleyball net. Lots of parking and a Hutches nearby for food and ice cream.

Definitely a decent place. Let's be real, definitely could be better. Here's my reasoning; The large bit of land for picnicking could either use more trees in the center, or remove whatever that random hut is. And don't we have the tech these days to put those power units or whatever they are underground? That center area is always unused because of those two structures. The geese aren't always aggressive, but their poop definitely is. The atrocious scent eminating from the little beach area is honestly concerning but who am I to judge, you know? Genuinely I love this park and I have many fond memories such as getting Hutch's ice cream and walking the trail with a date, or birthdays in the park with family. It's a great park, but let's be real, could be better!

Great park to relax, fish and bike around. Near the city of Hamilton and you get the view of the Burlington Skyway from far! Food is at the park, so you don't have to bring food. Only complaint was the poop found around the park. Too many of them are found. Just watch your step. Also hoped that there was an ice cream truck around.

There is nothing much here. Just a big open park with a really small land area for beach. The water is not clean either. There was so much filth in it. However, I did see a few people bring in their boats, jet skis and canoes. It is a pet friendly park. There were a lot of dog walkers. Some people fishing, they looked like regulars ???? I don't think I'd go back here. There was nothing special about it. Except maybe for the super weird webs on the trees!

Also I will add that I have alway's thought the most beautiful thing about Hamilton is the view we have from Bay Front Park in The North End looking across the bay at Burlington and beyond. I'm wondering if Burlington folk feel the same way, with thier view that is and being in a higher tax bracket in all. God Bless my Hamilton

Very nice Park with plenty of space for various outdoor activities. I most recently attended the Canada 150 event at this event space, which catered to a variety of food trucks, acts, and roughly 40,000 people. Overall a great place for family functions, romantic gatherings, as well as private events, & it is right on the water.

Must must must visit!! It will give you the feel of being on a hard rocky shore with waves splashing. Wear crocs for sure! Washrooms were extremely clean! Had such good picnic time! And yes there are switch boards in gazebos if you need to connect your music systems

This is a beautiful place for walks with your family and friends or if you want to have a moment of pondering you can go on your own. The scenery is amazing with all the animals and trees They also have great fishing there but from the locals I heard that deu to the pollution in the water that it is not the best idea to eat the fish. They also have a boat ramp, a dock and a nice beach. The beach is opened in the summer time.

Nice. A huge parking lot. Nice views of water and land. Good track for walking, jogging or biking. The beach is closed though. Due to water contamination - mainly blue green algae. The fish here can’t be eaten for water quality concerns. Most of the land is grass - well maintained. A lot of energy and emissions must be going into maintaining it.

If you own a boat, you can come here and ride it. This part of the park has separate parking for cars that are carrying boats. As well as slope to easily get your boat into the water. Its open, plenty of breeze along with seating arrangements for the tired ones. Its a nice place to be.

A great place to walk along the lake. There is a train yard next door so you occasionally get to see one starting up. Good spot to launch a boat. Parking fills up quick, I had to do a couple rounds before one opened up. Food trucks we're there which was an added bonus for my walk. Bayfront park seems to be well maintained and over all just a great place to spend some time at.

Great place for a barbeque. Not too crowded and lots of space for parking and playing around. Lots of space and areas for fishing as well. Washrooms are located at the entrance in the parking lot. Lots of goose droppings and lake water has alot of bacteria in it making it smelly and unswimable.

Great location for a walk. Large free parking lot with washrooms available (restrooms closed for winter). The paved path around the park makes it good for biking or in-line skating. Can get chilli with breeze coming off the lake at times. Trees are beautiful in the fall.

Went on one of our hotter days this summer. Thank goodness there were food trucks along the start of this parks walkways to the waterfront. Enjoyed an ice cream with our walk. So hot. We got a little relief walking along the water front where the trees were overhanging. Unfortunately it only provided temporary shelter. Many wide open spaces where the sun started burning my wife and I to crispy critters. We were treated, this day, to a few lovely ladies taking alluring photographs of each other. I didn't mind. We didn't stay long due to the heat. Look forward to returning some day soon. What is really needed is more parking areas. Might be nice if the city could invest in stacked parking. Would provide allowance for more people and shelter from the ever hotter sun and even the snow shelter come winter. Bring more people down and it would be wise for a smart business person to invest in an area for inside dining.

A wonderful little corner Hamilton. Bayfront Park has a beautiful and scenic walking path by the water. A great spot to walk your dog or go for a jog. At the end is a breath taking view as well as a public beach, the waters aren't safe for swimming but would still be great for a dog to run around! On this day we even got to see a swan up close and found trees that the beaver had worked away at.

I often come out for a walk here. The scenery is good and you can feel the refreshing feeling if you walk for a while. People passing by are also kind and nice to take pictures. It is a good place to take a walk with your family and it is a very convenient place to park. It is also a good place for children.

Love this park. There’s so much to see on the waterfront. The tourist trolly passed by us. This is a good option for someone unable to walk the kilometres of paths. I don’t think that e bikes should be permitted on the paths. There’s lots of picnic tables and plenty of room for everyone to distance themselves from each other.

Fantastic place and so fraking spacious! Great place even to just do nothing or have a picnic. Major bonus points on the fact that they host the Hamilton Night Market in 2019 and 2021. It's really beautiful and a great spot to visit on a summer's day.

It is very nice here, especially for walks with friends or solo. Only downside is the way that people drive through the parking lot. They speed through without any care for pedestrians at times. I would recommend signs to help prevent this

The Bayfront is a great place to go for a walk. Being near the water, the air temps are usually a few degrees lower than further inland so it's a great place to walk on a hot day during the summer but can be a bit chilly on a spring or fall day when the wind has picked up a bit. My only reservations are geese and their droppings seem to be a bit of a problem. There's also a good deal of construction going on around Pier 4 at the moment which is part of my Bayfront/Pier 4 walking circuit. Still... great place to take a walk.

Great place to walk, the trail is almost endless, there is a marina, a cafe, a skating rink within walking distance from the park, lots of free parking. Beautiful views of Burlington Bay, the Skyway Bridge and the steel processing plants in the distance.

The park's upper plateau, an expansive lawn area, makes it an ideal location for special events. It is linked to Pier 4 Park by Macassa Bay Walkway.

Beautiful park. Short loop around for walking, biking, or running. It is quite small though. The waterfront is gorgeous. At the next pier there is a playground (short walk away). Very nice park to spend quality time with family. The waterfront views are amazing and lots of open park area along with a paved waterfront trail to walk around. Many benches available to sit and eat your food and lots of free parking. We usually end up spending a couple hours relaxing under a tree shade here.

The trails are great around bay front. Whether you want a short walk or a long one, they’re stroller friendly & bike friendly. The only downside during covid is how busy it can be during nice weather. People are generally respectful of distancing, there are lots of garbages to keep the park clean, and there is lots of wildlife to see.

Overall this is a decent park for family picnics and/or for just a simple stroll along the water front. It has some great views of Burlington/Hamilton bay. Saw quite a few people fishing. They do have a beach, however, water quality is so poor that you are not allowed to enter water. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is due to the maintenance of its grounds. A better job can be done to maintain grass and add flower beds. Plus due to water quality.

It's Heavenly. If you hit the place on right day of time you can capture some breathtaking photographs. It is a paradise for photographers, bikers, dog walkers, boat owners, runners, family picnics and romantic couple outings. If you are into creative field and wish to use it for brainstorming the park offers various solitary spots with serene environment. The park is vast and amenities include water fountains, benches, tables and washrooms. The premises are kept clean which shows it is very well managed. The variety of flowers offer a picturesque backdrop. The parking is ample and free but if it is a bright sunny weekend, you might run out of luck. On weekdays, evenings are pretty packed but I don't see issue with parking. Parking lot is divided into two. The one close to the water (central parking) is exclusively for cars or trucks with boat trailers (please check pictures) DON'T GET CONFUSED. DO READ THE SIGNS BEFORE PARKING. All in all it is a great spot to spend a day with your family and friends. Have a happy outing. Thanks.

We were here for the MacKids Walk and Wheel fundraiser on June 2nd. The park was great, a really nice location for this fundraiser! The money was raised for McMaster Children's Hospital and the Rony Joyce Children's Health Centre, and the fundraiser was great. The view from this park is amazing. Lots of green space, a nice view of the boats on the water! We loved it!

The only problem is that there is a lot of geese and poop on the ground and grass. The city needs to do something to control geese population. The water by the beach area is disgusting.

Went there for star gazing during the expected meteor shower Aug 12-14 but didn’t get the spectacle expected. But the park provided ample space for parking and finding spots to star gaze. Was there past sunset so not sure about the facilities there. There were well lit pathways and the water gave a good feel while we were there. Might plan a visit during the day

Really enjoyable park, good loop to walk. Has a good view on most of the walk. If you still play pokemon go it's a good place to play a lot more stops and gyms now. A bit of spoofing happens but not much you can even rent a bike by the boat launch. The boat launch is free to use just an FYI to the boat people.

This place is a literal Vibe. This is a park where you get to experience so many things. If you like to jog there is a nice track. If you want to have a barbecue you can set it up near the lake as well. The garden is also well maintained to have a sit down with friends and enjoy the sunset. We went there with our kitten and she was very excited to see all the people and the sunset for the first time. Definitely worth the visit ????

This is a huge park located in the city of Hamilton. There is a big lake in the park where you can boat. The walking are is very spacious, long. You can go here for jogging or simply walking. If you have pets, bring them there, they will also enjoy. Kids will love the place as well. There is a decent sized parking lot, so if you want, you can park. You will have a good quality time with your family and friends. I would definitely recommend this place.

Well first of all it's really close to me because it's actually in my Neighbourhood. And it has a fantastic paved path that goes all around this side on the Burlington Bay and then under the bridge of York Boulevard to the other side of highway 403 and then all the way around to Princess Point Park. You can walk? ride your bicycle or rollerblade. They even have bicycle rentals at the park that you can rent and use if you don't have your own bicycle and you want to do the path by bicycle rather than walking it!!! :) *hugs* JACK

It's a beautiful park My husband and I came here a few times and we love this place. Weather was good today so we packed some food and had a lovely picnic here. There were quite a few people enjoying the sunshine, playing or having their private picnic, but we all did our part in keeping with the 2 metres social distancing. I love this place! I come here for walks almost every weekend and sometimes during week. I'm usually playing Pokemon Go while doing so since there are alot of stops here. It's a win win for exercise and a little gaming with your buds. The view around paths are great. It's nice and cool during summer. Lots of shade. Overall it's a very nice place if you wanna just fet out for a while. And if you need a treat there is a place called hutches by the entrance! Hope this helps and have a great day!

A terrific place to walk, bike, paddle, or rollerblade. The path does a loop around the park. There's also a separate path that will take you up towards the fishway, then out to Princes Point. There's a few fishing spots along the water (Carp, Bass, Pike, and some other species are present). It really does seem to have a bit of everything.

A great walking destination, even in winter as the paved trails are maintained, you have unobstructed views of the bay and lots of wildlife to take in; you can spot an assortment of birds here, from American Coots to swans. Once had trouble with loose dogs here, but seems Animal Control thankfully patrols this area more often. My favorite time of the year to go is winter time where you can get some really interesting shots of the ice. Bring your camera -- you never know what you might see!

Excellent place to go with kids & family. We used to go this place often in Spring, summer, fall & winter. You will have everything you need to spend quality time there. In winter you will see the white lake and sometimes you can walk on the lake if authority permit, fall is so colorful because of so many trees are surrounded in summer! Oh man you will love this place for bike riding, boating, picnic, play and so on. And of course don't forget to watch fire works on Canada day, one of the best one!

Great place to walk your dogs. I usually go here later in the evening as it's not as busy with people. Good place to go for a walk, bike ride, or roller blading. There's a park for kids and hutches nearby. People fish here as well, I dont fish so dont know much about it. People also play pokemon go here.

This is a beautiful park! There is a nice long walking trail around the water in a loop which is very pleasant and a good length. Along the railroad, there is another trail that extends along the water. The middle of the park is a lot bigger than it looks and a lot of space to spread out and have your own area to hang out in. Ample parking on weekdays, tough on the weekends to get a spot if you're driving.

A must see when you visit Hamilton. The views all day long are breathtaking. This happened only because of the vision of the city. Now it's here for all to enjoy. The pictures you see were taken during the last night of Dusk dances in Hamilton at the park.

Well kept park with plenty of trash bins throughout. There were a few families cooking on BBQs which filled the park with a delicious smell to go with the great view of Lake Ontario. Perfect place to relax on a nice sunny day.

Beautiful place, love going for a walks here :) There is goose poop but it's because of how many geese are there, the park cleaners can't keep up. Other than that, though, the park is clean and gorgeous, and nice wide paths to distance from others!

This park is located right in Hamilton, Ontario. Great park for walking, there's a trail. You can also go fishing and launch your boat. The best part was watching the sunset.

Took my son to a specialist appointment. So instead of paying those very high parking fees I grabbed a coffee and drove to Bayfront Park. Sat facing the Hamilton Harbour. The view was majestic. Everything covered in a blanket of snow, the water frozen. Sat there for 1 1/2 enjoying the sunshine and view. Then my phone rang and my son informed me that he was ready to be picked up. It was a relaxing time.

One of the finest tourist destination in Hamilton city. Park has many activities like cycling and jogging track, boating, slides for children and many other things. One can chill with their family by barbecue and eating snacks on park. The beautiful scenario of sunset with lake is indescribable. One can feel peace at this place. There is one public toilet which is open upto 7:00 pm only near parking area of car. There are lot of private deck boats at shore for parking.

A lot of people who are respectful of one another. Inclusive of all. Clean, inviting, good paths to walk on and they are accessible to all that need to use assistive devises. Also biking, roller blading and running. There are picnic tables in many places. Lots of parking including spots for cars with trailers for the boat launch.

Paved trail that hugs the waterfront of Hamilton harbor. At this spot, there is a short loop that is easily walked by people of any age. Trails also allow for cycling, rollerblading and running. Fishing off the rocks can be done anywhere along the shores, off the docks where the boats launch, and on the dock that sports a lookout and tables. Boats and Seadoos are also on the water, but so too are nonmotorized watercraft, kayaks, canoes and rowboats are also welcome on these waters. Parking lot is large enough to hold likely ?200? vehicles... there is a large lot by a public restroom [open during daylight, available may to november], and another lot closer to the water. Center of the lot by the boat launch is for trailers only....you WILL be fined if you have no trailer because bilaw patrols regularly

Best place to visit with family and friends. During summer it becomes heaven. We can have a look towards lake Ontario. I see people coming with family for walking, playing games and picnic hotspot . It's well maintained by the staff. We also have one ice cream shop named Hutch.

Bay front park is one of my favorite places to feel nature. There is large parking and washrooms available. It is a good place for family picmic and barbecue. If you visit after 7 in summer, you would hardly found a spot for parking.

This location is well cared for and connects to the larger bike trails that lead to princess point to Durndurn park and coots. In the summer there is usually food trucks in the lot or you can go to hutches for food and drinks including beer. Parking lot can get full on nice days and tables/seating can be scarce but if you prepare accordingly you will be fine. One thing to be cautious of are the geese and their droppings.

Last Sunday. July 25th-2021 we decided to stop at Bay Front Park. And No regret at all. It is very beautiful big park. We enjoyed the view of the lake and nice weather. It is a good location for picnic or relaxing.

Very good park, lots of wildlife such as geese, swans, ducks, and herons once I even saw 2 Ross's geese, if you are lucky you might see a domestic Pekin duck and If you are even luckier, you might see the swan incubating the eggs and the baby swans! Also great place to watch trains.

The paths along the water are a very generous size! It was a great spot to go with the family for a walk. There's plenty of parking. There are bathrooms (they reminded me of bathrooms at the beach.. not really taken care of/kept up it seemed, spiders etc.. but when you need a toilet, they've got one for you!). It was nice to sit under the pavilion for our picnic lunch, and there were lots of picnic tables to sit at. There are so many areas to explore.. we were there for a couple hours and only walked a fraction of the whole park.

Bayfront Park is a wonderful park. It was a Millenium project for Hamilton and it was a great decision. This is a wonderful spot with lots of parking. Great walking trails (mostly smooth and flat) The scenery is amazing. This project helped heal the damage done by industrial pollution. The amount and diversity of wildlife is amazing

Great place to run. Trails 5 miles (5.2) long from the green rd entry to end, if you don't run down the Pier. Always a nice crowd. I so find the trail wide enough to fit varying speeds of traffic nicely. Aka bikes, roller blades, faster and slower joggers and walkers, all in both directions. I'd do 5 stars but homeless tents on the beach, some strange properties and Hamilton's Beach front got the shaft with industrial power lines...

Great vibes and people! Be aware of the homeless people roaming around after 10 pm. They act weird ah. Before 10 pm the park is filled with beautiful families walking around and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
