Always a pleasure with the fam and the family dog ????

We've seen a lot of improvement in this patch of woods since it was named a memorial. It used to be nothing but fallen trees, garbage and glass, so it's nice to see it now maintained properly by the city, not just volunteer groups.

FYI, this Park has been officially named Mary Clayton Memorial Park, after a remarkable woman. The Park has an interpretive panel which describes Ms Clayton's contributions to early Halifax business life. Best access to the Park is from Willett St. Walking further along the trail takes you into a lovely woodland with a full tree canopy and many native wildflowers and shrubs. Spend a few minutes or more - a wonderful break from the stresses of everyday life!

One of my favourite small parks! Now that it's attached to the Mainland Linear Trail, it is much easier to access it and enjoy the trees.

Pretty, small park, yet you can still see apartment buildings through the trees and don't quite feel like you're out of the city.
