This Park corresponds to the category of Park.
Nice for a walk.
Lovely spot for a quick hike or neat pictures. Small parking right beside it but can only accommodate a few cars.
Beautiful walking trail, lots of hills to
Handy for dog walking. Money talks so unfortunately some of the park was bulldozed to make room for condos. Heart shaped pond is neat, not worth driving 45 minutes to gaze upon but if you're there, give'er. The whole place is littered with dog waste and often beer cans. I've come across a dead duck bobbing in the pond and feces-covered underwear by the trailside about 10 minutes in. Its generally starting to exhibit a rode-hard-and-put-away-wet sort of worn out, abused urban park feeling. Clean up after your pets!
good for short trail walk awesome after job with your companion almost 3km loops many loops actually all are with different walking distance longest one is Rockingham Trail must visit once pond add it's beauty to the park open throughout the day except 10pm to 5am if you go through loops then it's good otherwise you will meet residential area ???? rest are visible in my photos one plus point is it is good with bicycle also (*not motor driven) mostly maple trees and christmas tree that means mostly it will look green i guess there are streams in between all trails, benches with garbage bin aside would make it possible "to eat in nature" overall it's a good time spend...!!
Love these trails! Nice walking area, good for a picnic on the benches by the pond.
Peaceful and quiet. Trails are very well maintained and lots of room to social distance as well.
Such a magical spot.
Beautiful park with multiple trails but ensure you wear proper footwear as these are gravel trails and many lead uphill. Unfortunatly there is only one off leash area for dogs. Bring bug spray in summer as there are a multitude of large blood sucking insects about.
Very cool trail. Off leash dog Trail available 5 min in
Lots of good paths well signed with maps
We had a nice time feeding the ducks
Great little park to the heart of the city.
nice place to spend the afternoon with your family. Entrance from Bedford Hwy, Kent Av
Nice park with many beautiful trails.
Pond water looks like it could use some TLC but it's a beautiful place to sit down and relax and kick it with some ducks
A wonderful park nestled in the divide between Halifax and Bedford. Trails are well maintained and marked with large color-coded signs. The Governor's Loop trail allows for off leash dog walking between 9 - 11 AM and 5 - 8 PM.
nice place for kids , at the entrance there is a pound full of ducks
Beautiful scenery and history behind the cottage and heart shaped pond❤
Fantastic trail to walk, trail run or stroll
Beautiful park with lots of nice trails for hiking.
Great trail - the connectors can be a bit confusing though so be careful and keep track of where you are. That being said, it's not an overly long one so if you do get lost, getting out wouldn't be difficult. It was fairly well maintained during the winter and a great starting trail for anyone looking to get into hiking or just looking to walk more.
A glorious Slice of nature right in town. Worth the time to wander around the trails.
Beautiful escape from the busy city. Lots if old trees and cute squirrels.
Decent walking trails in well-forested area with well-marked, separate off-leash area for dogs.
Beautiful walking trails!!
The Heart shape pond and the history behind it is quite intriguing. This is a small alcove of a nice trail system. Good for a quick walk close to city.
It's a pretty great spot for an afternoon stroll, it's well maintained and the trails make for easy walking. It can get very busy though and the small lot fills up fairly quickly. The entrance off Kent Street can be a bit daunting as its a steep grade and quite narrow. The reason i'm only giving three stars is because, while it's a great place to walk the pets, the off leash loop is quite small and the trails are heavily trafficked.
I had never been to this park and I'm glad I checked it out! Really feels like you're just out in nature. Very icy this time of year, be sure to bring crampons.
Great park for a dog walk on a sunny day as it has a lot of shade but beware of the mosquitoes and bugs. The off leash area is good for puppers. The heart shaped pond has fish ducks and many natural beauties to admire
Lots of ducks and a few benches and picnic tables. Cute place!
Ok
Came here on a cloudy day but still had a good time. The Heart shaped pond is adorable, I like the trail, saw some wild life, and not too busy once you start the hike.
quiet & beautiful
First, note that there are several entrances to the park, the main entrance is at the end of Kent Avenue, off Bedford Highway, across from Princess Lodge (the round house). Park in the lot down the hill if your left, down the hill. If your GPS has lead you to Crozier Court, then you are in the wrong spot and can not access the park from Cabin Lake and Cabin Lake Trail. The Ravines Park is a fantastic place to go for walks on well maintained and well marked trails. There are a variety of native trees, bushes and shrubs, as well as some old growth deep in the park on the dead end Ravine Trail. It is also a great place to walk your dogs, the Governor's Loop is an off leash area. There are numerous garbage bins to dump your dog poo, and dog poo bags at the entrance, so there is no excuse for not picking up after your pet. There are a few park benches in case you need to take a rest, or sit and enjoy the birds. You may see a variety of birds and small mammals, including deer. I have seen fix and a single coyote in the park, but have never felt threatened by the coyote. There is no need to go off trail in the park, but if you are inclined to do so, ensure that you have a compass or GPS, as the woods, combined with ravines and bigs off the trail are barely passable, and some areas still have windfall up to 3 meters thick from a hurricane in 2003. I highly recommend this park to see what typical deep woods in Nova Scotia are like, without having to venture into the deep woods.
A lovely walk to take, you don't ever completely escape the sounds of the city, but you will be completely surrounded by wonderful trees. The canopy is dense enough that the park always has damp places and watery leaves. There are ALWAYS mosquitoes, so if they love you the way they love me, bring your preferred repellent. I use a couple dabs of clove oil here and there and it staves off most of the swarm. The pond is a pretty shape, it's not for playing in, unless you're a duck.
A very nice park in the middle of Bedford. Quiet but not deserted at all times of day.
Awesome natural trail, right in the middle of the city
Great little hiking park in the middle of the city. Geocaches and painted rocks to find.
Little escape from the world
What a wonderful spot and a great day for a visit to the heart shaped pond!
Love this place. The forest in the city. Quiet, peaceful, close to nature.
It is very cool and there are wonderful trees.
Got engaged here infront of the heart pond a couple months ago. Love this place and how quiet it is.
So far yet so close.....love it
Short and well maintained trail. Parking lot could use improvement.
Great place, not too many ppl
Great park
Nice little place
Watched the yellow spotted salamanders in the pond and walked on the trails, very nice place.
A beautiful well maintained walking park within the city.
Beautiful views! Be careful of cyotes though
Good place for hiking
Nice little quiet park in the HRM. Short, but lots of different ways to tackle the trails.
Love the heart shaped pond
Beautiful walking park with wide groomed trails. Great for day walks with kids or pets with multiple trails to chose from. Went for the first time in the winter, but will definitely return in the summer.
Off leash area is small but they are generally lacking in HRM. Nice forest. Imagine its quite wet in spring. New trails and pond.
Beautiful quiet spot
Great short trails
Great place for a walk anytime of day ! Amazing scenery
Lovely well maintained trails.
Pretty place. Currently best wearing ice cleats. Trails are well marked, but take a photo of the map on the way in. The ravine itself is heavily iced right now, but one can get around to the left to explore.
Such a beautiful spot. Relaxing.. beautiful trees.
Flat gravel walking paths, lots of different trails. Reminds me of point pleasant park a bit. Famous for its heart shaped pond which always has ducks.
Great up hill leg day climb but sadly signs were a little misleading and found ourselves on different trails than expected
Nice place to go for a walk
Beautiful
Cool place, nice pond good trails
A great park in the city that feels like an escape.
So beautiful
A beautiful old growth park with plenty of winding trails and lots of quiet along the Bedford Basin, Hemlock Ravine Park is a gem of an urban green space. The trails are well marked, colour coded, and offer hikers and runners plenty of ups and downs, including an off-leash loop for your four-legged partner!
Another hordes Jem in Nova Scotia
One of the best kept secrets in Halifax, this park has lots of paths and is a great place to escape to nature in.
all the well to do hobos drink there fine Lysol there good place for a walk see many magnificent sights
You may not believe you're surrounded by an urban setting
Beautiful
Nice easy walking trail + heart shaped pond.
Beautiful
Fresh class A gravel on well maintained trails, I've always loved visiting there
Great green space park, which takes you instantly to feeling like you are in the woods further outside the city. Heart shaped pond is currently being refinished. Lots of trails, both on and off leash options. The Ravine trail has a babbling brook running alongside it, adding to it's ambiance.
Beautiful park at the heart of Bedford where you can run away from the day to day hustle and bustle and fully immerse yourself in the warmth and the unconditional love of Mother Nature. You can easily meet some locals here like the ever busy squirrels, wandering deers and the stealthy foxes.
Wonderful oasis in the middle of the city
Great spot on the Bedford Highway where you can literally get lost into nature with hemlock, pine, spruce and many more
I came here 3 days after a snow storm. Most of the trails were clear of snow and ice... though there was still some. I really enjoyed being in the nature here... each trail seems to be maintained. There is wildlife like ducks and other birds as well as squirrels that I saw. Got some great photos, and the fresh air was perfectly what I needed after a drab winter.
Nice place
My favorite in Halifax
One of the best parks in Halifax to have a Good walk. It has numerous Trails. The love shaped pond and also the ducks in it stands special attraction.
Well kept trails, colour coded loop maps, off leash trails for dogs, not maintained in the winter but snowshoeing is fun!
Beautiful wilderness walking trails
Nice park
Trails are really well kept and it’s a convenient location, not too far from the city.
Such a great park for hiking, spending some time with kids or family in a jungle feeling area. It has a parking lot, there are few places to sit or have a rest there. Please wear long sleeve shirts and pants because of mosquitoes there, carry a stick as recommended there because you might seen coyote over there. There chipmunks there and my explore many more wild animals suck as deers and squirrels. The location of the park is good on Bedford Highway, and there are a walking way towards the backyard of Wentworth park elementary school. I have enjoyed there, my kids have enjoyed too. I'm going to share some photos with you guys of this beautiful park, please watch them and press thumb up (like) on my photos in order to be able to continue sharing beautiful reviews and photos with you guys. Thank you.
Good place for a dog walk.
Beautiful place for all the family.
Nice place to go get lost. Quiet and nice scenery
Nice little stroll. Ravine is kinda nasty but cool at the same time
Beautiful place for a good hike
Nice relax walking enjoy the trails
Beautiful September day on the trails.
Cute little spot, nice trails.
Walked these trails every season and most days for 30 plus years. Low volume and pleasant strolls watching the seasons and children walking the trails change through generations.
Great scenic spot for walking off the bedford highway. Nice wooded trails.
Lovely little Park. Love the heart-shaped pond and lots of different trails with different inclines make it a bit of a unique stroll.
Beautiful place
(Translated) Djj (Original) Djj
Cute park in the middle of the city. Plenty of ducks!
Best with a bike. Not an ideal place for walking.
Nice little off leash park
An excellent place to poop
Lovely trails, a little escape from the city life.
Fun experience
Beautiful green spot. On outskirts of city. Can not hear the traffic. A pond to relax by, ducks to watch and squills playing tag! Park is clen and well kept.
Nice trials!
Gorgeous walking trails with options for length.
There is a huge old growth hemlock on the prince Edward trail that’s not to be missed. Be sure to make it to the ravine trail too. The trail is very well maintained and the signage is very good
Idk
Great walking trails. The heart pond is very nice.
This is a very well maintained system of walking trails. Most around 1 km. There are hills but they definitely are not strenuous. The signage is very impressive. Lots of maps along the several loop trails. There is a nice parking lot at the top of Kent Ave.
Walking
Beautiful park with a km long off leash trail for dogs. The trail can get icy during Jan thru April so spikes are highly recommended.
Great park. It has a loop for dog off leash hiking during certain hours. Love it
A really great place to walk and relax!
Great Park for a family hike.
Cutie
The entrance to the park is extremely steep hill. I was there a few days ago and watched as people disobeyed the on leash for their dogs chase the ducks on the ice, which is from the parking lot until you walk in and see the off leash signs. This is a bylaw to not have your pets off leash until you've entered off leash area. Its a beautiful spot with a man made heart shaped pond. Please keep your dogs on leash. Animal control was called that day. Respect the wildlife and please do not litter.
Great history here of why there is a heart shaped pond down the walking trail.
Love this place! Beautiful serene park with a heart shaped pond with lots of ducks to watch???? this is my favourite place to go just sit relax and think for a bit, as it’s not overly crowded most times and has some nice trails for those looking to go for a hike in the woods or some benches by the pond????
Nice properties
Joggers park
Great hike especially in fall
Well maintained
I like this spot and really enjoyed the nature here. The trail was not very long but good enough for small hiking. It was my first time there and I was expecting to see more natural views. All the scenes were the same but still had a good time. Was super busy when we got there... seems like it’s a super popular place for everyone. This park is not very far from my home so probably will go back sometimes!
This is great for walks. There is a school just outside of it that has a pretty nice playground as well. The pond you find in there is nice. But it also attracts the bugs. So bring bug spray if you intend to hang around it for long.
Gorgeous park!! There are maps everywhere so you don’t get lost. It’s dog friendly with a beautiful heart shaped pond at one of the entrances.
Great view
I like the trail loops in here. The streams are really pretty and lots of little wildlife. But the bags of dog ????.....there are many ????
Great small trail perfect for all ages
Beautiful hiking Park.
Beautiful park for a hike or biking in woods.
This is a beautiful green space inside HRM. You can spend hours walking through the trails and enjoying nature. There is an off leash area for dog lovers and even an 'off the beaten path' area that you can explore the ravine and the stream that travels through it.
Nice place to go at snow time also
I don't know that this is what you think of as Hemlock Ravine Park. It's Cabin Lake Trail which is the west side of the park not the area off the Bedford Highway. Great place for a walk.
It is so cool like a maze
You can spend 2-3hours, Good place, suitable for jogging
Wish there was more off leash dog area but that's just because my dig pulls me haha. Gorgeous park!
Awesome place
Absolutley beautiful, full.of history and a great place to walk and run.
A very beautiful park with trails and a heart shaped lake. Clearly marked trails and lots of open space. Family and dog friendly.
Great Park. It's full of hills. There's an off leash section. Heart shaped pond. Gold fish. Was a hidden gem for quite a while. It's getting more and more popular
Good
A wonderful place to take a walk.
Great place for a walk or mini hike! They have about 6 trails, pretty clear maps, and different difficulty levels. There is a heart-shaped pond and if you do all the trails you’ll be there for about an hour or so! Great in the summer and winter and trails are pretty flat and even
Beautiful park in any season.
Beautiful park for a walk with your dog.
Love going for walks here. Beautiful and peaceful.
Beautiful place for a walk & just to be in nature
Nice multi-trail system close to the city
Nice trails
Stumbled upon this while waiting for pizza from a local pizzeria it is a super cute little Park. Actually ended up taking my pizza back there to eat and enjoy the beauty
A very enjoyable walk/hike for pets, kids and adults. There are plenty of hills but also different trail options depending on your preference. On and off-leash areas are marked (although most dogs are off leash throughout) and there are a few benches near the parking lot by the pond. Parking is limited so arrive early and if headed there in the winter, I'd suggest packing a pair of crampons as the hills can be very icy.
The family loved the location.
Nice little park. Not a difficult trail. Good for a short walk. But will kept, very nice.
Nice little trail. Beautiful colors and found Some sweet fungi which is apparently very rare.. one thing I found that not pleasing is the crushed rock they put on the trail. Pretty sharp for dogs feet. You can tell it was hurting his feet
Favorite park in town - has a number of well maintained trails, is not usually too busy at all, and you really feel like you are out of the city once surrounded by the forest. Beautiful regardless of time of year and a great place to relax and gather your thoughts:) Highly recommend as a great date if you haven't been - especially to see the heart shaped pond!
Great little hike!
Very nice
Lovely park right in the city. Very large and well signed. Gravel trails with lots of elevation changes.
Great park.
Great trails!
Beautiful walk!
It is my favorite. also near to my house ????. alot of trails and well marked. There is a heart shape pond. it takes around 1 hour to explore all trails.
One of the best park, Lot's of trails in the these park that are totally amazing for biking, running and walks or there's beautiful heart shaped pond if you wanna sit and relax. Lot's of ducks and painted stones near the pond that is so positive and warming. Also there's a leash free trail for pets. But I do like it for biking because of amazing incline and decline that gives amazing kick.
Beautiful park but always so many mosquitos there! Doesn't matter when I go, just tons of mosquitos! Wear some bug repellent and get out there!
Peaceful, relaxing spot, and beautiful wild life there as well
So peaceful to walk in the woods just to clear the mind and cleanse the soul
Place is quite nice
Beautiful walking trails with lots of species of birds and few species of mammals.
Great place for an afternoon walk
A beautiful walk.
Great place to explore and forage
Beautiful walking trails, well maintained. There are some off leash dog areas to let Fido run and sniff to hearts content. A large parking lot is accommodating for multiple vehicles.
Kids love feeding the ducks. Great walking trails. Off leash areas for dogs. No facilities.
It's a beautiful park! Very serene and quiet between all the residential lots. The pond had ducks floating in it, and there were some pretty purple-feathered pigeons near the benches that you could throw seed for. The trails themselves are very nice to walk, not too long that you would get lost, but short enough to not be super tiring. I was worried about dog poop, but didn't see any! It was a great trip!
Scenic. In the middle of the city. A nice breath of fresh air. (not litterally, but close enough)
Nice walking trails
Beautiful trail, clean and take well taken care of everytime I visit! ... For more pictures of Halifax/Nova Scotia follow @horizoneyephotography on Instagram and Facebook!
Great little park, beautiful main area, all gravel paths. Lots of dogs as well, and lots of loops.
i actually love it here but i wish it wasn’t as busy
It's a great walking area
The heart shaped pond sounds like a great place to visit, it was also recently renovated. However the waterfowl have really degraded the water quality, giving the pod a really gross vibe. The trails are top notch, well maintained with lots of elevation.
This is a WONDERFUL place!! I visited it for the first time in my life yesterday::somehow missed it for the almost 61 years I've lived in the Halifax area. The prince who selected this amazing chunk of real estate as a spot where he and his sweetheart could get away from it all, chose well. In addition to some very old hemlock trees, there are several small ravines in addition to the deep main one, which is surprisingly difficult to get to. An excellent variety of wetlands are also to be found, and there are landscapes that look like they came out of the tropics. If you've never been there: make plans to do so IMMEDIATELY!
The perfect trail if you’re looking to be close to nature within the city. It’s a little hilly and well maintained. I would suggest taking a picture of the map before you start to help you navigate the different trails which very in distance.
Looks very beautiful but will have to go back because it was nearing dusk but did see the heartshaped pond. It was drying up though.
Great nature trail in a busy area
Very nice walking trails
Great place to go for a hike.
So happy to have discovered these walking trails on a visit recently.
????
Nice place to walk
Nice trails, some black ice and roots on weekend in Jan. as you get down to ravine trail. Lots of people walking dogs. Mostly pea gravel trail hiking up at first and into a forest with nice loop trails. April 2021: Perfect for a one hour loop on the blue (Take school trail up to blue and then red trail (off leash section). I like to loop back through on the yellow trail which has nice sunlight and small evergreens. Very quiet on weekdays, just birds and squirrels chirping. Lovely for spring hiking in the city, dry trails. Benches at a few points at trail intersections. Only garbage can is at entrance and park was very clean.
Beautiful trails, lots of birds and squirrels (and dogs). Bring bug spray.
Fantastic park, lots of trails and routes. Dog friendly with nice off leash areas. Can be very icy in the winter, so crampons are recommended.
Beautiful little park. Not usually as busy as some of the others in HRM.
A great spot to take a walk with you dog!
Always a lovely place to walk.
Nice trails!
Great place for a quick walk in the woods.
Nice for walking
Beautiful forest and nice clearly marked walking trails.
Great little park for a stroll. Good paths, some steep grades however, keep that in mind.
Great spot close to home lots of trails good for offleash with doggos
The park is lovely. Just wished the pond was cleaner.
5-stars if you actually go all the way into the eponymous ravine. Beautiful, old-forest-feeling place. Actually a little confusing navigating, so mind the posted maps on trail, and if you are so-trained, think topographically
Hemlock Ravine offers a variety of travels beautiful nature scenery, sufficient cover from the sun, and just an all round perfect place to go for a stroll through the woods. However none of that is import or matters because there's a sizeable man-made pond shaped like a heart filled with ducks. They are shy and cautious but will absolutely feed out of your hand. Please note: bread is bad for ducks, a quick Google search shows a host of options other than bread, just make sure it is small enough for them to eat. Quarter some grapes and you'll have friends for life. There are plenty of benches at the pond as well as several garbage bins, as well as a free parking lot. Sadly, there's no bike rack, but plenty of trees and poles to chain your bike to.
I'm loving the heart shaped pond! Some good memories here! I'm looking forward for more to come. I don't know who Joey is, but I bet he's a pretty cool dude!
Beautiful park and nice trails
Cold
Amazing spot.
A gem.
Needs sring cleaning ,nice place all the same
Nice trail for the city
near Bedford, basin , shortly trail.
Amazing little park. Be aware a dog attacked my small dog after their owner told me she was friendly. I got their dog off mine but I had to run after him as the dog chased him once lose. When I went back the owners and dog we gone. I hope they learned how “friendly” their dog isn’t. Please know your dog and leash up if they’ll even remotely attack or lunge at a dog or child. Otherwise I absolutely love this place and so do my two small pups.
Nice park for a hike in the woods. Just small trails and woods, nothing else. So, came prepared because there's no washroom neither water (at least where we went). There is a good size of it where you can take your fur off leash. Lots of ups and downs for a good exercise. It is close to a school so your kid can have some fun before or after the walk. Really quiet. Be aware of the mosquitoes too, there is a lot of them.
Lovely trails and pond. A good place to feed ducks! It’s not a big enough park to go for long distance run, but quite suitable for a family walk!
Very pretty woods. Better maintenance would improve the trails. There is a cute pond filled with ducks at the entrance.
Beautiful place to go for a walk.
A beautiful park with a heart shaped pond and a good backstory. Lots of hills though.
Best park we have. not over crowded
Very nice trails and park for spending time.
A great park with good signage and plenty to explore.
Cute park, love visiting here. Lots of people walking dogs so you can get lots of dog kisses here.
Beautiful park, easy access
Actually there was a serious automobile accident on the 102 today
Shady (the good kind) and quiet.
Lots of trails meandering through the hills.
I wish I brought more bug spray, will need to come back again soon.
Awesome place????
I heard a love tale from my Uber driver on how a man built a love pond for his wife and it had always been on my list to visit. I finally got the chance this evening. Though I couldn't spend so much time there because the weather was chilly, it was still beautiful seeing the pond, ducks birds and people enjoying the environment. Would definitely visit again to explore the many trails.
Hidden gem. Great place to walk with or without your dog.
Beautiful large park, has off-leash areas for dogs and a variety of trails. Has a pretty heart-shaped pond, and you can spot wildlife such as small birds and deer.
Married there Sept 30 2020 great walking park any season.
Wonderful scenic walking path and pond to relax by. Conveniently located off the Bedford Hwy.
So cute, what a great story.
The trails look like looping around but they are not always. Well marked at turns and joints of the paths, but it's quite easy yet tempting to go off the trail. During summer time, walking with the brook babbling in the background can be very soothing. While during the winter season, trails are not under maintenance, so always put on the proper hiking boots for the ice and/or stumps.
Great place for a Sunday afternoon walk. Dog owners can enjoy off leash areas.
Beautiful park. Well marked crusher dust trails that meander through heavily wooded areas. Several loops. An off leash section. Some benches along way.
It is such a beautiful park! I love the heart shaped pond. Absoultly perfect for taking photos. The squrriels are curious enough to get up close to have their pictures taken. One squrriel was very photogenic. Lovely walking trails especially in the fall with all the beautiful colors.
Nice place to walk with dog. Sometimes deer are seen which is a treat. There are random coyotes but I personally have never seen one. Not maintained in wintertime but lovely in summer and fall.
Beautiful and peaceful place to walk
Beautiful place
Nice park
Lovely place to explore nature and breath fresh air on trails.
(Translated) Very beautiful park (Original) Очень красивый парк
A lovely walk in the Ravine today. A wild and windy day but quite calm down in the ravine. 18 degrees today!
Get place to get out for a walk and to enjoy nature
Heart Shaped Pond, beautiful trails, and ancient Hemlock trees.
Great place to bring the kids as nice as point pleasant park. I did orienteering with army cadets in this park years ago and received a silver map and compass award recommend this park
I've never been there
It a beautiful nature park with many trails.
Great scenery... nice trails
A nice,quiet park to visit.
Grew up nearby, this park has a lot of nostalgia for me. There's always parking at every entrance. The paths are taken care of, easy to walk. The heart shaped pond is a great place to sit on a bench and enjoy a little pocket of nature.
Beautiful!
Great walk. There is a school at the end of the path with a playground.
Wonderful trails in the city.
Nice park. Not very well marked
Lovely views and nice walk
Great spot to go for a run or to take a stroll with the dog (or cat if that's what you're into). No public washrooms or drinking water. The heart shaped pond is great to sit and relax by!
Great place for nature lovers
Good
Great park.
Great walking trail.

Beautiful trails! Not too difficult. I was able to take my baby in a stroller.
Beautiful and scenic for family photo sessions
Beautiful
A friend brought us... this is a hidden gem! Wide paths, well maintained. Beautiful forested park.
It was a beautiful day !!
Awesome spot for the family to go for a walk!
Love, love, love it, beautiful trails, about a good hour and a bit of walking and exploring and I couldn't believe how well the dogs that walked off leash were. Wish I didn't live so far. But hopefully not my last time.
Nice park
Romantic heart shaped pond and beautiful trails to hike. Walk the hemlock ravine trail. In the spring enjoy bubbling Brooks. In winter walk, snowshoe or cross country ski the trails.
Beautiful park...a little hard to find the first time without Google Maps ;)
This park has it all. Ducks. Ponds. Dogs. Do you like trees? This park has so many trees. This is hands down the best park off the Bedford hwy.
Beautiful park
My dogs and I love this park. There are enough trails to make different length walks which is nice. Can get a little buggy but stays nice and cool in the shade on hot days
Nice place to relax
Amazing place to go for a nice relaxing walk and also great trails for taking your dog for a stroll on and off leash
Great place for a hike or just a stroll Stay on the main paths, sadly not everyone uses poop bags
Great well maintained trails. Highly recommended
I love this park , love the trails, once you start a trail you don't see too many people making it relaxing and peaceful
Just made my first visit and hiked all the loops. Beautiful, quiet and the gentle hills get the blood pumping.
A good hike and workout. Love it there. Parking is tight, so st parking is best.
Nice park. I find the paths a bit confusing. Take a photo of the main map when you arrive to refer to later. Only one loop is off leash. It's a lovely park and worth the visit. Be sure to stop and read the sign about the heart shaped pond.
Beautiful scenery
The sweetest and most underappreciated park in the city.
Very cute park, heart shaped pond might be over rated but it's not crowded, nice trails and look offs and benches to sit at. And so close to the city!
Excellent trails for walking on. Stay on the trails it is easy to get disoriented.
Convenient place to bring the pups to. Small offleash area, but decent for Halifax
(Translated) Suitable for hiking (Original) 适合徒步
Beautiful Trail with well marked names
I've always loved this park. However it was crazy busy at park today. Parking lot was full and there were a ton of cars parked on both sides of the road, because there was no space in parking lot.
Beautiful place to walk your dog. Love the heart pond
Great walking paths
Beautiful spot but too icy to traverse yesterday.
Trails are nice gravel so easy footing and okay for strollers. Lots of hills so a good workout. It was our first time there and we got lost a few times. Some of the side paths are not well signed but are well maintained so we ended up outside the park a few times. Definitely want to put on big spray.
Great place for a relaxing walk..pup.did pick up few ticks however.
It's a good walking parks with amazing trails however the actual heart shaped pond needs a good cleaning
Great park! RIGHT IN THE CITY! Only wish it had more room for the dogs to run, but really convenient nontheless.
Lovely park with nice trails. Even nicer with a fresh snowfall.
Nice place to go for a walk
The school is under construction and alot of noise and fences blocking the soccer field
Beautiful
Hope this awesome place does not get ravaged by the "new" bug infesting hemlocks in Nova Scotia.
Great spot to walk lots of deer and wild life
Great place for hiking and for biking. Multiple pathways and all are marked. A lot of fun
Great park for running or walking
It's a nice park with many levels of difficulty for walking or running. I live adjacent to the park so I get an opportunity to take my family to the park often. They enjoy the heart shape duck pond and all the curious and ravenous creatures that frequent the pond area. There is also a school playground at one end of the park.
Great for a hike, close to everything in the hrm
Excellent trails at Hemlock Ravine Park. Very well maintained and enough trails to keep you out for as long as you like. Great view to be found as well of the Bedford Basin.
Beautiful scenery including a heart shaped pond which is a must see sight.
Beautiful place to visit
Best resindential area ????
Lovely quiet place in the city
Entrance to the park has holes and some major bumps, be careful. What you see in the pictures for the pound is what you get. It's decent but nothing extraordinary. Did not walk the rest of the park.
other wise known as the heart shaped pond at the base of a walking path. Not always a bright sunny spot but beautiful in its own way.
Beautiful spot, only con is I went when the path was still full of ice! Will definitely be going back when the ice melts!
Beautiful place. Lots of trails to take, easy walk for kids and dogs. Not enough signs though.
Great park to go on an adventure in :)
A hidden gem for a nice walk in the park and a view of a heart shaped pond.
Heart shape pond is a beauty
Beautiful place nice easy trails
Super site and its a great walk
Beautiful scenery, well kept trails
Very beautiful park dog friendly trails were nice
Beautiful walk, cool pond. Ample free parking. Free. Mostly shaded.
Nice trails. Nice quit spot to sit by thw pond.
A lovely park - first time there and my grandpup loved it. The best part was that it was surprisingly not full of trash (like most of Halifax)!
Beautiful spot, in the city but youd never know. Tall trees, lots of streams. Great place to let the kids get out some energy
My new fave place to ride my bike. Nice trails and lots of friendly dogs wanting to say hello.
The top of the park is great for feeding ducks. The park and the paths are a huge perk of living in this area.
Nice little wooden park just outside the peninsula with a small gravel parking lot at the Kent Avenue entrance. There you can find the famous heart shaped pond and lots of ducks. Made up of a few straight and looped paths you can go through the whole park in 45 minutes. Easy hike but there are several hills. Deer sightings are a rare treat. Note there is no winter maintenance.
A trusted almost home landmark for years ????
Cause of a movie that I watched I like so can I see it again please.
Parking area from Kent St. Off the the Bedford hwy will take you directly to the heart shaped pond. Trails are nice and wide and filled with gravel. Couple of looped trails past the pond that are nice to go walking around and picking blackberries.
Nice
What a beautiful place, wild life, walking trails friendly people lots of photo ops. Simply wonderful.
Beautiful park.
