REVIEWS OF Mico Valeriote Park IN Guelph

Good park. I wish it were more toddler friendly. Most of the climbing is designed for ages 3/4+ It has a paved path around the playground which is great for scootering/biking There is shade in the grass area around the playground but no shade on the playground itself.

Amazing for kids of all sizes and very family friendly.

Linda Vichel

Fun place for kids, but it is under construction at the moment

NEW look. This park recently got a renovation - making it prettier, with a new playground equipment and a nice walking track, and landscaping. It used to have a wading pool but this was removed during the renovation. The neighbourhood used to be a very family area - where many of the homes had children, but that is no longer the case. The number of young children in the ward is very small. I am not sure why they chose to make this park a kids park, because in 11 years of living very close to the park - I hardly ever see kids in this park. The majority of people who use this park are dog walkers/dog owners. They should have made it a dog park. There are MANY dog families in the area. It is a beautifully renovated park - I just dont think the audience they designed it for really exists in the area any more.

It's really nice since they rebuilt it. Good playground with a small water cannon and lots of benches and picnic tables

My first 4 years of life we're spent mostly in this park as our house backed onto it. I was told that back in the late 90s my father took it upon himself to take care of the wading pool as the city didn't do a good job if any then. He would clean out the loose debris like leaves and twigs. He would also add the sanitizing chemicals each time the pool was filled up. At the time the neighbourhood was working class and it wasn't really paid much attention to by the city.

It a nice park, great for children since its all fenced in except the entrance. Has a great bike riding path. The large grassy area has lots of rocks to climb on.It has picnic table and lots of seating area. The wood chips in the play area, make it softer to land on when going down the slide. It also dryes qiickly after a rain, no mud. There is a sandy area to play in too. Lots of trees for shade. The bike rack was very loose. Not someplace where you would want to trust your bike. It use to have a pool, so it would have been nice if it had a small water feature. There is no parking at the park. You can park at Angelinos since its a short walk to the park, or at the canadian club, if you ask permission.
