The winter experience was surprisingly good. Most animals are still present either in their summer habitat or in winter-only indoors habitats. I would still recommend going during the summer for the full experience, but if it's not your first time or if you'd rather not have to deal with larger crowds, winter works out pretty well!

Scored tickets in December for 11$ each and went during winter last year and again this year. Upon entry, it wasnt very clear where to present our printed tickets (said to go to express line but nobody worked in those booths so got turned back at the entrance to lineup at a regular ticket purchase booth. Interms of a Zoo, its okay, some animals to see, and alot of walking. Stopped halfway through for lunch and was pleasantly surprised that they sold beer and bottled alcoholic clamato. I didnt order food so cant comment but they sell the usual fast food fare, prices seemed fair. For the price we paid, it was a good day activity with our 2 year old and a couple friends. I will probably go once a year using the winter promotion.
