Great walk along the paths all year round. Watching the water levels change throughout the year is awesome and it's such a fun walk when the water levels are low. The paths are paved, the views are great, and the sound of rushing water is amazing.

Mostly for walks or sitting to enjoy the quiet and the views of the rapids and mill ruins. There are two picnic tables as well. Amazing photo opportunities at sunrise and sunset. Lots of birds and water fowl as well. Don't be afraid to follow the many trails leading towards the water for hidden vantage points.

The ruins in the Ottawa River are an excellent reason to take a photo. The Sentier des Voyageurs and the Route Verte cross this park which can be reached on foot or by bicycle. (Original) Le parc des Rapides-Deschênes est plutôt petit, mais un excellent endroit pour observer la faune et la flore autour de la rivière des Outaouais. Clean and quiet by the water. Nice place for fishing or rock finding and picnics. But Alot of bicyclists without bells and difficult access to garbage bins along bike path. Water is shallow so common for dog owners to bring dogs here for playtime and swimming.
