Here you will see all the opinions of people who are consuming the products and services of Thousand Islands National Park (Park) in the territory of Gananoque (Canada).
At the moment the firm gets a rating of 4.7 stars out of 5 and that score has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is almost the best one, and it's founded on a large number of reviews, so we can conclude that the evaluation is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to write feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Park is classified in the category of National park.
Beautiful place
We have a cottage there. I love the guzzle. Swimming is great there.
Went there July 11th 2019, from the GTA area. Worth the 400 km drive.
Nice park
It was our first time hiking Jones Creek trail. As always, the trails are very clean and well indicated. At each cross road, there’s a post indicating the name of the paths and a metal map (VS a wet laminated piece of paper that you can’t …
This is a must see place.. it's just beautiful
Was a great experience, despite heavy rain in the morning we decided to go as its closed deck. But we lucky as rain stopped just before boarding. Staff on ground and on board was very helpful and professional. We enjoyed the lunch in the …
Awesome place to go for kids, great boat ramp, and lots of places to explore for everyone. Check out the visitor center, and the great views of the river!
Lovely spot! We rented a yurt for 3 days. Lots of spiders on the island so wouldn't recommend it if you're afraid of them. Bring a fly squatter as your yurt may have quite a few flies in there. The lot comes with chairs, a large container to store food, a battery to charge one phone but bring a car lighter adapter as that's what the battery is connected to. The outhouse is one of the cleanest I've seen.
Clearest water I've ever seen
A natural marvel that almost has a surreal effect in you. I think after Niagara Falls, the islands here is definitely the best thing to see for Ontarians (don't hate me Tobermory fans). Took a cruise (take the one from Gananoque) and camped on the mainland (OTenTiks) this time around, island camping on the wishlist for next! #mustvisit
Awesome Place.
Gorgeous views from the campsites on Beau Rivage and Camelot Islands. Self serve firewood on the islands make getting wood easy and the reservation process was simple.
Best boating in Ontario to date with , well I guess a thousand islands that you can park at with boat and swim ...amazing
Kayaking in the thousand islands at Gananoque is one of my favourite activities. Parking is impossible, the crowd is insane, but once you are out on the water it's the best experience ever. Pack a lunch and head out for the day.
its okay there was great stuff but average security
Take a cruise and enjoy. So beautiful.
This is our favourite place to stop with kids. Always has been a marker of "almost there". Kids can get out and play, run around, use a washroom, have lunch or a snack (picnic tables available) and there is a playground. Makes our long journey up and down the 401 more pleasant and we can see the seasonal changes along the St. Lawrence.
Great family outing love this place
Beautiful beginner trails. Great views all around.
Lovely tourist location. Took a boat ride on the lake and enjoyed lunch on board. Great day outing...
Great place to paddle out to and camp. Camelot Island is great.. except for the cockroaches that come out at night. Firewood is nice and dry.
Beautiful place, thought many areas are private and ita difficult to find a place to come closer to a water
Went camping here as a kid and loved this place. Went fishing as well and had a blast fishing for Northern Pike.
The cabins (oTentik) are perfect and convenient... our view was just amazing. The place was quiet and with clean washrooms. Brockville is just 15 min drive.
An exellent boat trip between tiny islands and their spectacular houses!
Really beautiful place to make a tour!
Great spot for a quick rest, boat launch, picnics and bbq too.
Awesome place to camp with lots of outdoor acivities.Staff is super nice. Bathrooms not always the cleanest but they do come around to clean them. Alot of critters too so you have to make sure you put your food up!
Worth the walk to the top of the ridge!! Gorgeous area, hike & views. Well maintained
Lovely place to stop by any time with friends and family to enjoy the view and relax. You can go boating or swinging in sone part depending on location and lots of fun for kids and adults. We are lucky to be just an hour away from 1000 Islands ???? and stop here often with kids.
Beautiful area. Definitely go up the tower even if you are just passing throw. Breath-taking views!
It's a hice place
So peaceful and beautiful. Watch out for ticks though.
Safe clean friendly relaxing inexpensive.
Staying in otentieks. Very clean lots of room. Love it and a view.
Purdy frkkn good
Great area. Nice hiking trails. Gorgeous river views.
great place to boat and lots of islands to stay on or dock.
Otentic rocked. The staff was awesome especially with our kids in the discovery center
The water is lovely and the islands are a blast to explore
Beautiful water and houses on the islands.
Must visit place. Went for a trip for one hour. Enjoyed the view of the tiny islands.
A serene park by the side of st laurent river.
We only stayed there for 2 hours so I can't really talk about the hole experience. But we did explore and look around. - The cabins you can rent are really nice, you could easily fit 5 to 6 people in them, there is also a small table and a BBQ. - Cleanest camping toilets I ever saw. They were very nice. - Depending on where you are you can hear the cars on the road, which is not super nice for a camping experience but it's not the worst. - We only went on one trail but there were many options. I definitely want to come back and rent a cabin this time.
Beautiful
Love the city of Kingston. Went on the Thousand Island Cruise. The scenery was beautiful, but the cruise itself was a lot of fun, especially with friends/family
It was such a lovely boat trip and sea the island. The main island is absolutely amazing!
Incredible islands saw deer great place
Beautiful park and will return next summer. I'm hoping to rent a cabin for a night and maybe go kayaking or hiking.
Love driving over the thousands island bridge.looking at all the houses&Boats this year water very high water up to the. Houses!!
Great place to stay either on a boat or camping on the islands.
Beautiful camping place and weather was awesome the time we stayed.. nice campfire and lake view
Lots to see and do.
Nature at its best
This was one of my favorite places to go, I can remember the carp that we fed off the boat docks and pulling them out of the water with our hands it was a lot of fun also with a friend we loved Exploring the Mansion before the Mansion was restored. The boat tour is very interesting to. I highly recommend this journey It is a great trip for everyone. Of course many things have changed since last time I visited but I believe a lot of things have changed for the better.
Awesome drive along the river and lots of small islands.
It's a fantastic place for camping)
Love the beauty and tranquility. Nation park staff are helpful.
Unique experience, spectacular views, a trip within budget, options for water sports, photogenic views . There are public parks on islands as well, where one can plan camping
Absolutely an amazing place to visit, but if you want to go on a boat cruise make sure to call and make a reservation a day or 2 ahead, they were sold out when I got there.
Great clean and quiet little camp sites with everything you could ask for!
It is very beautiful quit and a good picnic spot
It's very beautiful place. More scenic, fresh air and less crowded so one can do water activity easily. Parking is not free and has to take parking slot for whole day. Best season to visit this place is in Summer.
It's Ambience and quite pleasant place
Beautiful
Beautiful scenery and lengthy easy hiking trails. Also several huge soft grass fields and playground for kids to play. Bring your bikes to enjoy nice and safe bike rides in the bikes only lanes.
Beautiful little park.
Definitely worth spending some time on the river here.
We had a great holiday
I counted the islands there were less than a thousand, truly disappointing.
Our 4th time renting a houseboat. Still love it.
It's beautiful. I recommend to visit this place.
Amazing place. Great views.
There prices are good on some stuff
very beautiful place visited 2 times already and every time you discover something beautiful about it. I got the cruise tour and it was so calming and relaxing. I recommend to visit this place you absolutely gonna love it.
Fun for all. Highly recommend this camping area. They have all the amenities that you'll need plus a store for that thing you forgot and of course firewood
Beautiful place to go
Amazing park with a fantastic view
The group liked it.
These were gorgeous trails, not too busy and an easy to medium challenge hike.
Just an amazing place to cruise around on a boat!
Great day out on the water, with fabulous views.
Took the riverboat tour through the islands... Some awesome sights...
It was a great stop on our way from Ottawa to Toronto.
Fantastic place. Great to holiday in summer
Great fishing for Perch and Pike.
Great place for camping and lots more, it's a beautiful place to be.
Love going around on the islands. Need a boat thought! It's beautiful
Gorgeous natural place where you could take a boat and ride between more than 1000 islands. I took the ride by the end of May and everything was green. Nice option to admire nature.
Great walking trails well marked and an easy walk.
A beautiful place to day trip or camp. The staff are fantastic and friendly. A great way to see the St. Lawrence and the 1000 Islands in a different way.
A great place to visit when there's limited options during COVID lockdown
Beautiful calm place
Thousand Islands National Park located both in United States of America and in Canada. The one that my family went there was in Ontario,Canada. We went on a breakfast cruise and it was fantastic views and the weather was very nice and clear sky.
You have to visit the place... great boat ride along the fancy, old, new and stonebuild homes and castles. Inexpensive is the great boat ride, time for great photographic view.
Greatest hidden gem of the park system! Low prices for exceptional park services.
Very beautiful boat trip, amazing scenes. Worth to see Bolt Castle which is on US side. Come with your passport.
I only visited in winter, still stunning.
The Fleet Lake Islands - NW of Canoe State Park - are a group of islands which are part of the Canadian National Park Service. You will find picnic tables, grills and decent docks. The Park Service charges a modest fee for overnight stays. One of the most beautiful islands in the chain is Endymion, followed by Camelot which is located slightly west. Tip: If you want docking or mooring space during peak months come early, ideally before 9:00 AM - first come, first served. Radio ahead and find out who is planning to leave.
Great park. Visitor center is informative and has many kid friendly activities. Clean bathrooms and nice playground. You can stay overnight in an otentik. Mallory Landing location is small but there are many island locations.
Very neat.
One time Beauty place. You can't visit again and again. It will look boring for you. I'm not sure about others but sharing my experience.
Thousand Islands, wonderful place to visit, try to come in summer or early fall, otherwise might be cold to do some activity there.
A lot to do, great places to eat, beautiful scenery!
Nice place, free parking, washrooms and well maintaining.
1 hour cruise and the drive along the shore line is worth the trip for us. Incredible views and cool water breeze on a hot spring day.
Beautiful park and relatively clean washrooms. We were able to eat a lovely picnic lunch near the water. Unfortunately, we visited before the park officially opened for the season so I can't comment on the other facilities and resources.
Amazing view! Lots of trails to hike! Can't wait to go back!!
Youve gotta get to one of their islands to camp. beaches. inexpensive.
Oh such a peaceful place
Such a beautiful place! We will definitely return :)
The park is fantastic very difficult to find dock space during the Quebec holiday if you speak French speak French on the French Channel and they will save you a spot but only if you speak French. Otherwise you'll have to anchor I recommend just avoiding the place during this time.
Quiet and peaceful. Can hear the sound of water/lake.
You can Only Travel by boat to get to your Mansion. How Neat and Rare is That!
wow great view
Such a beautiful area. I regretted that it took me so long to get here.
Great place to experience nature with friends for a weekend. Place is quiet and water is crystal clear but not too cold. Sunsets are gorgeous and fireplaces are warming. We took a ride to Rockport to grab nice healthy pizza ???? and look for a new boat at the local marina. Houses along the shores are gorgeous. We rode by and took a few pictures. I with I could live there one day. It would be good to visit the US side as well. Perhaps soon as COVID threat is over. Stay safe and happy.
Love cruising the St. Lawrence river.
Good place. Very quite. Gate closes at 5.00 pm
Beautiful hiking trails right on Lake Ontario. If you enjoy hiking, there are trails of varying distances and difficulties to suit your preferences.
The OTenktik sites on McDonald island are well equipped, and site 3 on Gordon island had a great view. Look for the cart on each island to portage gear to your gear. Current water levels mean some areas are damp, but Parks Canada keeps a list of what is open and what isn't. High water levels prevented us from using the paddling beach areas, but low activity on the islands meant there was room to use the docks instead.
Beautiful scenery, not many people, no litter and we'll maintained. Many look outs.
Amazing. I always come here and it never becomes boring for me.
One hour boat cruise is fun
Natural beauty everywhere and water is super refreshing!
Good for my Family activities .
A beautiful park. We didn't get to wander too far because of the icy grounds, but will go back when the weather changes
Very helpful personnel. Nice clean hiking trails. Would have been perfect if they had posted at the entrance of Landon Bay gate that the Bay trail was closed and not finding out after hiking for 20 minutes. Will return to take the cruise to Bolt castle.
It was a nice tour. I went as a child w my dad. Now with my husband. Would like to tour the castle next time
Visit every summer for two weeks. Absolutely beautiful and never want to leave. Anchored in various coves and moored on Camelot and leek islands. Short dinghy ride to gananoque for supplies.
Everyone should visit Canada's wonder place
What a beautiful place to spend a weekend. Very deep fresh water lake.
Relaxing place and beautiful.
Beautiful place to visit. Especially if you own a boat!
Very nice and relaxing place.
Awesome. If you have a boat. One super awesome place in summer.
It’s heaven ❤️❤️ loved this place. You guys can have so much fun if you want. Otherwise it’s just lake with islands and boats. Cruise ride was fun ❤️❤️
Greatest Park in Quebec
Great park system.
great place to visit for everyone
Spent the day hiking most of the Jones Creek Trails. Every trail was well-maintained and clearly indicated. Beautiful views of the creek and wetlands with a variety of vegetation throughout. Also managed to identify over a dozen different types of wild mushrooms! Would recommend this park to anyone passing through. If not for the hiking, the views alone are worth the visit. I'll definitely be back myself to explore some more.
Very nice and clean, a great boat launch and ride enough for 2 boats. Lots of parking. If you want to see a beautiful sunrise over the St Lawrence this is the place
Love the view love watching casle growing through the years. Have been going there every 4 years for the past 25 years and still fascinated. Only problem is access. The people I went with did not have passports so this is the 1st trip without getting onto the Island. ????But I am going back!!!
Beautiful place, great for hiking, canoeing or camping
Amazing, love the cruise tour around the Thousand Islands and the small beach at Gananoque, great little village with friendly people
Beautiful place with lakeside view. There are enough paid parking. Nice place for family time. There are places for boat launch and kids playground.
Beautiful landscape of several tiny islands, some occupied others not. If you take the cruise you can appreciate the grandiose scenery. I would say the best time to visit are April or September as the weather is fresh and not too many tourists roaming. I have been here several times and every time I am amused. There is the option to visit a castle at one of the islands, you will need your passport to do so.
Beautiful place to see on a beautiful day. Many boats we're out on the water. Weather conditions were perfect and enjoyed seeing the sites.
Great park for not serious campers.
Island View Hike at Landons Bay today was truly informative and a blessing to me! Thank you guys for an excellent interactive lesson of mother earths natural and means history/ herstory.
What a fabulous place to visit. We drive there and we sail there. A true gem in this world. The only drawback on the water are some aggressive, dangerous and rude big power boats.
Great place. Must visit absolutely
Nice park. Very scenic
Loved it,
You need to pay parking when you visit this national park.
Highly recommended to come with a boat or take the cruise and stop by Boldt Castle!
Very beautiful
Excellent place to hike and walk the dogs. The Lookout offers a breathtaking view of the river and surrounding area.
Beautiful trails and view of the St Lawrence river. What is there to not like here. Excellent time of the year to hike the trails, long as the weather permits.
This is a beautiful place to relax. If you are looking for a quite and relaxing outing location, this is your best choice. You will have to bring your own food and drinks as there is not much eating options but that’s why this place is clean and peaceful.
Great place for a ferry trip. Enjoy the ferry ride for more than 2 hours and experience wonderful views.
Good trails, all kinds of beautiful scenery! Hope to get back before fall is over!!
Beautiful from the hight veiw of driving over the bridge
Great spot for camping, not completely out back, there are toilets and fire wood on site. Some of the crowd can be louder and heard so your not right out in the nature like Algonquin Park.
Beautiful part of the cit, nice combination with the boat tour on a summer day
Its originally 1846 total islands but is called 1000 island all island is in water nice houses.there is boldtcastle also nice to visit.
All islands had great trails with clean facilities. Superb way to enjoy boating in Canada
Nice spot, but paying for parking at a small public park is insane.
Awesome boat ride with tours around the 1000 Islands, Castle and Boat House. Pay extra for each tour.
Great going back again
must visit place enroute to Toronto...Such a fabulous view of various islands from the cruise
These Americans
Love this place.. so romantic!
Lots of space. Beautiful views
A must see place.
Nice dark. Trails are easy to follow.
Beautiful, perfect for the family to walk and explore
Great place. Best to book the longer tour so you can hop off boat. Gets quite boring and tiring otherwise.
Beautiful place to stop. The thousands islands parkway views are well with the extra time instead of taking the 401
Well-run, very friendly, well-maintained. We will return.
Wowww i have done a boat tour and i think its a must to be able to see the islands it is just one thing you will not see anywhere else
Stopped by for a 20 minute playtime for the kids and ended up staying for an hour lol Beautiful views with a small beach area, information center/bathrooms that are Super Clean ????, plenty of picnic tables with secured garbage cans, walkways for mobility devices and a Gorgeously built stone gazebo with tables incase it rains ???? plenty of signage to give insight into the area. All an all a Great time to be sure ????
All ways the best times in the 1000 islands
Beautiful lake with small islands.we took a dinner cruise ,it was a very good experience.nice food and very romantic. They have live music.
Small little park with beautiful views of the St. Lawrence nearby.
A must see
Gorgeous scenery and it's a border crossing into New York
It was alright....except for the trips to the bathrooms (long walks)and the free ranging Canadian Geese!!!
The 'hidden' gem of the fresh water boating world! Love the 1000 Islands!
Loved it and going up in sky tower was awsome see for a long way good photos with a great lens sweet.
Otentiks all have a great view.
Nice place for boat trips. A mix of natural and man made beauty entertains the visitor.
What more to say, the place is just beautiful.
Picked up a mooring ball at Endymion Island. Seven new balls, new chain and very easy to pick up. Parks Canada comes around to collect the $19.60 per day fee. RCMP also come around to ensure there are no Americans given the border closure. Lovely spot, dinghy dock, and a composting toilet on the island.
It is a beautiful place to be visited. And from there I went to Syracuse Waterloo Outlets New York. I have gone there many times. To shop, clothing, casual shoes. The clothing qualities is number one. I went to sketcher shoes store and for the prize of one pair here in Canada I bought 2 pairs very confortable, I can walk long distance without discomfort or severe pain in my back. Even with the Exchange of USA dollar it is worthy. If for somebody who want to buy presents for family or friends I recommend to go to this outlets and you will have a varieties of excellent merchandise to buy it.
An excellent KOA with friendly staff, well-maintained facilities and lots of activities for young children.
Stayed at the 3B oTENTik with my dogs. Such a lovely place. Clean public washrooms and a cute park for kids. Even the outhouse was clean. Overall great experience, can't wait to return next year. There are also nice gazebos to have a picnic under. Overall this area felt extremely safe and well looked after. The closet trail was a little unkempt so I avoided it with my dogs because I was worried about ticks. I did manage to go to the other set of trails further down the parkway and the set of trails in Landon Bay. All those trails were beautiful and well kept. Some of the trails were on the side of a cliff with movable rocks, so careful if you have issues with mobility. The parking lots are very small at the trail heads but I was able to manage. The coolest part of my trip was hearing the coyotes howling in the middle of the night!
The islands and scenery are the best
I like really near here, and this summer I'm volunteering at a summer day camp!
Just an amazing place to spend on a boat.
Being different each time but always something in common–beautiful!
Take the boat tour to experience just how vast and extravagant this place is. You can spend the whole time marveling at the huge mansions and private islands where the garages are full of boats rather than cars. A very special place.
Small national park with easy trails. A good lookout point and we'll maintained forests.
oTENTIc was great!
Beautiful scenery. Lovely small island with beatiful houses
No life guards that is important to having a nice place to camp with kids
The hike to the top was worth the view. We took a back trail in that made for a great long walk and a picnic lunch with a view. Left nothing but footprints and took nothing but pictures, ok, some garbage that was left at the summit too. Make sure you've got your hiking shows on and come out for a good time.
Spectacular river access and views of islands
Fantastic fall weather for a hike. Beautiful trials. Parking was limited when we left but there was plenty available across the road for the lookout park
Most beautiful place to take a boat and enjoy each second
Stunning location, well maintained parks. Visitors are clean and respectful.
We've been sailing from Toronto to the thousand islands for 30 years. Our children and now our grand children look forward to walking ever park island looking for deer and other birds, bees, plants and trees that make the National Park special. Above all though is meeting friends renewing memories of the past and hearing about their adventures boating in the islands. Dinghying into Gan to get ice cream, pizza or various supplies adds variety to our time here. This year we started finding carved owls on the park paths. One of the friendly park staff makes each one. It's a blast when one of the children recognizes an owl and then feels the beauty of the wood (cedar, hickory, etc.).
Amazing part of the world. Love visiting all the park islands there.
A very interesting place to be very beautiful for the family
Beautiful scenery... nature at it's best!
Beautiful place. Love it here. Always have, always will.
A fantastic 5-hour cruise (boat and castle tour) on the morning of August 15. It took over half an hour to go through the Custom. Therefore, it was kind of rush to tour Boldt castle. Don’t forget to go up to the third floor with good view. I don’t know since when some people in the US started to act rudely to non-Americans, especially Chinese. Kind of shame for knowing that. Their behaviors of talking bad things at someone’s back is disgusting and uncivilized. Surprisingly, those people seemed to enjoy about it, not knowing they were racists and messed up American spirits.
Very beautiful, one of the nicest scenic tours I've done in Canada.
We try to get up here every other weekend in the summer to go out on the boat with friends. Always have a great time, plenty to do and explore.
