Very comfortable for kids~~ We will visit again~~
Great launching board for kayaking and water sports!
Beautiful day, nice clean place to visit.
Great! Lovely place with such a great view
Nice quiet place to take the dogs for a swim.
Simply fell in love with this place. It's beautiful, calming and windy in a good way. Perfect for a hot day and perfect getaway for a day.
Plenty to do, great scenery. There is a beach, playground, and water park there. Clean washrooms. A paved walkway to wander and enjoy boats and river. A bandshell is there and the town has live music there most Friday and Saturday nights. Ice cream shop nearby.
Small beach, kids loved it! Gets very deep very fast. Beach is full of pebbles, not so much sand. Raft anchored out and a place for the kids to jump into the deep water. Bathrooms are nice and well maintained. There is a food truck nearby for snack stuff and beverages.
Beautiful little beach with park and splash pad! Walking distance to an ice cream shop and a couple restaurants. Not a ton of parking, but we found some a little farther than the main parking lot.
Amazing beach ,very clean, i like the floating dock
Beautiful area for a picnic
This was a small tourist spot. The beach space is limited and for a tourist like us I didn't find much to do. It was okay but not bad. Definitely worth a afternoon and just be there. Pros, diving deck and a floating deck. Deep water for dives. Cons. Small area and lot of weed in the water. Enjoy.
It was packed , but a very beautiful beach and great place to take a walk.
It's a fun place for the kids but I personally found the water to be a little dirty for me to be comfortable in it. There are 2 platforms to jump from and small sandy place to sit.
Beautiful place, next to marina. Parking could be challenging on peak hours but overall good place to go for walk, near by hiking etc
This location goes so well with music friends and family. Highly recommended to stop by to relax and cool off.
Very good place, play area for children. Free Parking available if you reach early.
Lovely family time pass... Natural beauty 360degree...
The splash pad is awesome the water is so nice and kayaking is just amazing.
Good and compact place to spend time with your kids!
Its a nice serene place to spend the afternoon with your friends and family.
beautiful place, lots of fun, you can take a cuise to view all the good places.
Great place to stop with kids during summer road trips down the 401. There is a splash pad and playground for little ones, a small sandy beach with a shallow area (pebbly in the water), plus a dock that older kids can jump off. There are some picnic tables (a few in the shade) and public washrooms. My kids enjoyed watching the cruise boats and smaller leisure boats go by. We found a free parking spot on a busy Sunday afternoon, although the parking lot was quite full.
A nice spot to cool off in the summer. Spash pad, beach and quick snacks for the kids
Great place to bring the kids in the summer. The splash pad is a good size, but I wish there were more shade around it for bystanding parents. The beach is small but clean and well-kept and ditto the playground. We always enjoy ourselves. One thing I wish is that they’d do a little more in this town with events down here, and use the little theatre more.
Very nice beach and public park.
It is a beautiful place just to seat and relax or just go for a walk
Great location. Refreshing water....contending with smokers is the only downside.
Always fun at the beach with family
Small beach but perfect for our 4 year old daughter
Great little beach for family and friends. Beautiful views, lovely grounds, a splash pad, men's and woman's bathrooms and a pier to jump off. There is a playground for kids as well. Free parking for boats for 3 hours. And car parking just up the street. On weekends during the summer they put on free concerts from seven to nine.
Good beach
Beautiful place to visit and discover ????
Great views, close to the water, splash pad and park are beautiful.
I liked this beach and my little one had fun playing in the shallow waters. The actual sandy portion of the beach is pretty small so it can get crowded quickly.
Usually very crowded but pollution is a big issue here. The town marina is right next to beach. Usually alot of gas and oil smell in the water not recommended for young kids to swim. But the splash pad is very good and well maintained.
Beautiful beach, has little of everything.
The weeds were horrendous. Some terribly behaved teens.
I liked it the water was clear to swim in. And it was free. The area around is beautiful but it was small and the sand was hard cause it was filled with many rocks.
Even in winter, this was fun. You can walk around and look through the absolutely clear ice. Kids spent an hour listening to the ice crack and groan.
Lovly beach to bring down friends and family. Relax on the sand, enjoy a swim or two, and dont forget to take a look across the way at the 1000 islands located along the St Lawrance
Beautiful views, well maintained park, nice facilities, convenient location, and informative historical signs, plaques and displays. A great place to visit!
Clean warm water. Lots of fun.
We love it here
We were very pleased with our visit to the Joel Stone Beach. There is lots of sand to lay on, the water is quite clean and there's even a dock and floating raft that can be used for diving off. We had no trouble finding a tree to sit under and even make use of one of the Adirondack chairs that are provided. There are also plenty of treat and food vendors near by, all within walking distance. Even the parking was no trouble. You may have to pay a few dollars, but it wasn't too expensive. We will be coming back to this place, now that we know it is such a nice place to visit.
Great place to relax
It's an adorable beach with public restrooms and a picnic spot
Great little beach in the heart of downtown Gananoque. It was fun jumping off the dock into the water, and there is a nice splash pad nearby for kids. Great to see a sandy beach along the shore line.
The kids love the splash pad and climber. The beach has a rocky strip but after that it's sandy.
Splash pad is great but hardly any available swimming due to being blocked by buoy
Very quite, not much going on. Boats are still docked, they can't take people on rides as of yet.
Calm place to spend evenings and quality time with loved ones. It has a splash pad for kids and a small beach area. Was there to relax after a hectic day. Can be a bit windy and cooler than base temperatures as it's a beach area.
This is a tiny beach with playground and splash pad beside the Gananoque Marina. Nice place for kids to enjoy. The peninsula beside the beach has stunning view and super relaxing. You will enjoy this lovely where you have kayak rental opportunity.
Awesome park and clean kept beach in the heart of the 1000 islands. Fun splash pad and playground for kids. Beautiful established trees with views of the river to take your breath away
Good for the kids but why there are small rocks mixed in with the sand is a mystery. Who would add this feature. Walking on this is best impossible. Great location
Small fun beech. Parking is street level only and can be difficult to find. Be prepared to walk. Park and beech area very clean. Kids had fun jumping off the dock and swimming out to the break water.
Small city with beautiful beach specially if you are with kids, lots of stuff todo. Slides, splash park a little lighthouse or just browse n enjoy the view
Great place for kayaking ????
Nice for swimming ,hanging out ,it has some bench to seat ,nice view
It's good
This is a quiet, clean beach. Shallow water or great for the kids. Lots to for kids. Really enjoyed our visit.
Clean beach and nice walking areas. Good for family fun with beach and playground and sash pad in one.
Very nice place
Don't words is enough to describe this beautiful beach. My kids loved and asked me to come back. For sure we will
Love this ????
Tiny man-made beach within harbour. Ample parking ($3/day). Good for locals and families with small children, but not particularly scenic and can imagine it gets very busy during summer months.
No parking due to construction. Good availability of picnic tables and shaded areas.
Gorgeous park with something for all ages! Beach is deep enough to enjoy a swim without getting caught up in seaweed, very spacious and fun little splash pad. Lots of picnic tables and benches as well to sit and enjoy the view.
Amazing water is lovely to swim, they diving board is fun for kids
Good place to visit as everything close to this place like boat museum, cruise, beach, harbour.... you can bring your boat to have fun. Water is crystal clear. The beach is too small, that is the only shortcoming of this place.
Small beach with a small pier to jump from. Has a splash oad that is fun for kids. Clean washroom facilities available.
It's a nother nice place to take you family too...
Nice little Beach area next to a splash pad and a small public park. Corded off shallow area, deep area with a raft and a dock to jump off of. Lots of sand for the younger children to make sand castle with. There is a water break, so the water always seems to be calm, making it more enjoyable. No lifeguards or surveillance of any sorts. So swim at your own risks. There are also a couple picnic tables. Their are public restrooms across the ways to get changed in. There are a few trees for shade, but you may wish to bring an umbrella or sun shade and plenty of sunscreen. There an ice cream shop just at the end of the block too. One downside to this park though is people smoking (all sorts of things). I'm surprised that they allow it in such a family oriented public place as it can truly ruin your stay at the beach. Parking is a pain! It can be very difficult to find parking and everything in Gananoque is paid parking. So arm yourself with patience and $$$.
Not really a beach, cool place to bring small children & to hang out
Granddaughter cut herself on the water ramp that is for the disabled. Perhaps someone needs to file down the sharp edges on this ramp. I think it is wonderful that it is there for the disabled but someone should have thought about the safety of the other children, because kids being kids are going to play on it.
Nice place for the family and kids,a tiny beach with lot of stones so wear water shoes. Clear water. Splash pad, playground and washrooms close by.
Fantastic sunrise point
Great spot no parking meter lady to busy
Great place to go swimming. Close to the cruise ships and a 5-minute walk to main street
This is an amazing spot in Gan. There is a small beach that makes it ideal for kids as it keeps them more contained and easier to keep track of. They have public toilets and I'm the evenings there is often live music on an outdoor stage. There is a jungle gym for the kids and street vendors for snacks. This is also a pretty good shore fishing spot I have landed 35 pound pike and 5 pound bass right from shore.
