Arriving to the park held a magical feeling to it, the trees barren of their foliage by the easterly winds from the north Atlantic, the low flying clouds like ethereal infinite wisps telling a story of sail and delivery, that indomitable yet gentle Newfoundlander spirit quick with the joke, honest and loyal. Walking along the pebbly beach, where the North Atlantic clashed with the granitic cliffs that speak of the history of this planet Earth, covered in succinct foliage and pines, where the narrow pebbly strait separate fresh water from salty breeze, a perfect picture of Canadiana reverie, autumn sunset, hymn to the thousand Newfoundland sailors that took to the seas either to make a living or for Queen and country. Yes, I was taken to the core and humbled beyond words at the magnificent panoramas that opened before my eyes, should you visit Topsail Beach... Do it with humbleness not only to Newfoundland and their continuous and low key high impact contributions to Confederation but to the beautiful and magnificent natural scenery that'll open before your eyes, keep it clean and wondrous as it is. ????????????????????????

Perfect spot for an afternoon in the summer with the family. There are pits for fires and bbq's to enjoy while you look out at beautiful Conception Bay. A small snack stand is open in the summer with public washrooms. There is also a play area for kids.

This place is beautiful; however, people are not respectful and are not putting their garbage in the bins. There was bags of dog poop, reusable shopping bags and food just dumped on the beach. Not to mention baby wipes in the water and pieces of styrofoam. It was very disappointing to see.

Great spot to sit out on the beach and enjoy the sunshine, and throw some rocks in the water with the kids. I can't give it 5 stars because I picked up some plastic and sharp broken beer bottle fragments on the beach in the areas where most people sit while we were there. You definitely need to be vigilant while there with small kids.

I recently had my first visit to Topsail Beach on a very warm (for here) day. First thing that shocked me was practically no wind - VERY rare for here. Not sure there is generally less wind in this area but it was a great surprise and hopefully will be like that when I return again. There are picnic tables, washrooms, I saw one bbq, as well as a great manicured grass area that had many Lupins surrounding it that you could bring a towel and lay out on. The beach portion is pebbles, not sand, but also fine to bring a towel and lay out on. Water was freezing (obviously) but there is a river that runs into it that is warmer if you wanna take a wade or dip. We also spent about an hour hiking the trail that begins at the end of the grass section (an East Coast trail that is about 2 hrs of moderate hiking to Cbs) and really enjoyed exploring it. Highly recommended and saw many places that you could veer off of to have a picnic or just enjoy the views. Definitely take some time and enjoy a warm day there. Easy to get to and sure to be a great way to spend some summer days.

It's a nice beach to have a get together in the summer and have a nice evening fire, by the ocean, with family and friends. Also a great place to take off for a hot summer day with a great view of bell Island and a little nook to swim and there's even Public washrooms. Also enjoy taking a hike up the high mountain above the ocean for a better look... there is parking just minutes from the beach.
