This is a beautiful place to walk, read, feed the ducks/swans/goose, look for all the statues, people watch, be immersed in nature..just anything. The trees are beautiful, especially the giant weeping willow.

Bowring Park is one of my favorite places in the city! The park is huge and is a great place for walking. It's absolutely beautiful no matter what time of year it is. In the summer it's lush and green and full of beautiful flowers. They have a water park and pool area for children to enjoy as well. Lots of room to lay out and enjoy the sun, or have picnics, etc. In the fall, the place is gorgeous with all the fall colours, and in the winter it's just as nice! A walk through the park at night in the winter to see all of the beautiful Christmas lights is a must. There are also hundreds of ducks in the pond there that you can feed all year round. Great place to take your children, pets, or just to enjoy on your own!

Devan5028 speaking: i got a bone to pick with this park, there's only 2 vintage fixures left and those are American Standard Bering Urinals in the men's bathroom by the playground! And there's an older Cadet by the duck pond, this park has gotten rid of what, a Compton, 3 Neudays, and a vintage-ass Cadet!! If this park gets rid of those commodes, not only am i gonna give it 1 star, I'm never visiting it again, so bowring park: SMARTEN THE HELL UP!!!

My son just had a time of his life. He enjoyed all the appliances from the duck pond, to slides, to water falls et all. After close to 3 hours of him running around barefoot with no pants, i still had to drag him out, and carried him on my shoulders. He slept in the car 2 mins later and i bet he will be asleep all night.

Bowring Park is a beautiful green space that's well worth a visit. It has always been well maintained and is a joy to spend time exploring. There is a swimming pool and playground and several statues throughout the park. My young family has enjoyed playing in the park many times and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

It's a lovely park with so many old trees, lots of flowers to look at. There is a reception building and many fields in which to hold events. The summer swimming pool, splash pad, skate park and playground are very nicely upgraded. The park is nice to pass through for a walk or gentle ride on your bike. Be sure to stop by the war memorial, pass along by the river and check out the duck pond to see the resident ducks, geese and pigeons! There is a lovely hill for sliding and xmas lights in the winter!

Offers seasonal swimming pool, splash pad, washrooms, concession stand, events and holiday decor. Flowers to gaze upon in summer and hills to slide upon in winter. There are a lot of wide trails to walk around the large park and is wheelchair accessible. The playground is popular with the kids and is wheelchair accessible and made for children of all shapes, sizes and abilities. The ponds and streams are beautiful and it's a beautiful park for photographs in every season. Includes a wedding venue and is great for picnics and portrait photography. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 just because compared to other parks I've visited in Canada it doesn't offer as much as I'd like such as bicycle rentals, dog park, ice rink ect.

I took my dog for a walk here early in the morning, so peaceful. This park is right in the city but it feels you are far away from it all. Very nice trails and also paved walkways. Pictured is the monument to the young men who died during the Battle of Beaumont Hamel during WW1

Beautiful park. It was very busy but not crowded because there is a lot of space. There are some touching monuments from Newfoundland's World War past. There is also a Peter Pan statue in memory of a little girl lost at sea. The statue has all kinds of hidden little details.

Huge green space park with many great spots for a family picnic. There's also a large fountain filled with ducks and a swan that enjoy being fed the bags of food you can buy for $1 nearby. There's also a splash pad for the kids on those warm days, and many fields at the park and nearby for sports. There's also a swimming pool inside this park, but I believe it required an admission fee, and beside that is a small canteen for fries and soft drinks. Overall a great place to spend a nice, sunny day with the family.

Wow! This place is great. It's like a little peaceful oasis in the middle of a city. There's duck ponds and fountains and walking trails. There's playgrounds and splash pads and tennis courts and even a skate park! I'd like to see some signage to direct people (especially new visitors to the city or province like myself) we were lost once or twice, but it was a beautiful day and we were in no rush so it didn't matter much.

The nicest park in the city by a wide margin, trails are well up upkept and marked. Good variety between paved and unpaved section, wooded and cleared areas. Many areas have multiple trails and pathways leading so if you have kids or nervous dogs you can take alternative routes to avoid issues.

Beautiful park, with many different ponds for feeding ducks and swans! There are usually a lot of pigeons around too, but the ducks will actually eat right out of your hand. Paved walking trails, pretty flower beds, and tall, old trees. There are also many open grassy places for outdoor sports or to get a tan on a blanket. I visit this park weekly. 5 stars.

Bowering park is a beautiful . It changes from season to season. In the warmer months you can easily access all the trails. It is great for all ages. It has many amenities. During the warmer months it includes a seasonal splash pad, a swimming pool, a skate park, a pool house , duck ponds, rivers, a green house, and a kids play ground area. Also there is a bungalow inside the park where you can book events and have it catered. The trails are wonderful to discover. Some are designed for an easy stroll along the pathways laced with ornamental flowers and trees. Other's are a bit more challenging walking along side the beautiful Waterford Bridge River.

Only down side, It really needs a paved parking lot t is always we here, and it needs it's own entrance from the main parking lot. This park is the best. It's huge with so many distinct areas to walk around, bike, skateboard, play, or enjoy nature in. There's also a few sports fields. Park at either of the main parking lots and start wandering around, or if you're looking for a longer backwoods hike, take the South Brook trail through the woods. It's beautiful.

Love walking around the park mostly during the Summer and Fall, but the walkways are cleared in the Winter as well. There are lots of trails throughout the park, as well as a paved main roadway. Suitable for all abilities, and for pushing strollers/wheelchairs. As well, there are many benches throughout the park. The park has ducks, swans and the other day we seen a mink! The skate park, and playground were pretty busy with kids. In the Winter, around Christmas, the park is lit up in evening with festive lighting.

I've always been a big fan of Bowring Park. When we lived in the city we went there a lot, now when we visit we always go to spend a few hours. My kids love the Splash there. Its got a decent amount of space and has a variety of sprinklers. It's also conveniently located near the play ground so when the kids want to dry off they can just go play on the equipment. There is equipment there good for all ages and interests from fake vehicles to play pretend to a variety of monkey bar heights and shapes. The park is big and has beautiful walking trails where streams wind their way through the park. Don't forget to stop at the War Memorial, Duck pond and Peter Pan statues. Or there are large field throughout the park perfect for picnics and frisbee! It's a great place to go spend an afternoon!

The daffodils, magnolia and various flowers are blooming this spring in well tended garden plots. Plenty of long walks. You can choose flatter paved roads or plenty of paths in woodsy areas. Many whimsical sights to see such as the huge brass Peter Pan. The ducks are just..well, ducky. There are a couple of duck ponds and a large playground with brilliant padded outdoor flooring to soften any fall. Something for all age groups.

Bowring park is a lovely spot in the city for walking, running, skiing or snowshoeing. It is beautiful all year round and the grounds are always well maintained. There are two duck ponds, a swimming pool, splash pad, tennis courts, lawn bowling and lovely walking trails. The old railway bed, "the trailway, runs through the park, which leads downtown, a flat trail great for biking. There is a lot of history in the park, a great place to spend the day exploring.

Who doesn't enjoy and love Bowring Park....next time you walk through the park...stop..look at the trees and think about the number of years they have been there...oh!!! The stories that could be shared...the people who walked 100's of years ago... made plans for their future...and we walk there today..doing the same... Bowring Park is a huge part of my life..pass..present..and future..as I'm sure it is to everyone who has ever been there..a jewel is the middle of our city...

Sir Edgar Bowring would be proud of this beautiful park, almost every weekend my daughter and I make the trip from 45 minutes away to feed ducks and take walks. The pigeons and ducks will eat out of your hands! Be sure to visit the two memorials to the Royal Newfoundland Regiment there. The first "The Fighting Newfoundlander" located near the peter pan statue on the walk up the hill towards the estate house, and the second memorial, a large caribou with a bronze wall commemorating the war dead located along the river on the lower trail.

Wonderful place to walk or to take the kids and feed the ducks and swans! My toddler had such a great time as the ducks are quite tame and come very close. Free parking. There are picnic tables and benches along the path.

Had a great day at this beautiful park with visiting family members who also said the park was wonderful and very pretty. Had a small barbecue and enjoyed some hot dogs, fed the ducks, but unfortunately couldn't let the kids play in the splash pad area because someone had threw up in the pool and they had a shared filtration system. Great place to go overall. Even with the splash pad problem

Bowring Park is one of the most beautiful place to be especially if you got kids. You can do your walking and running exercises. Feed the ducks and pigeons. Swimming and biking and so much more.

Has to be one of the most beautiful parks you can visit anywhere. Easily accessible, beautiful flower gardens, great hiking trails following along a river. Two duck ponds. Outdoor swimming pool, children's playground, tennis courts. Enjoyable for 1 to 100 year olds. Just a great place to be.
