This is a great playground. The day was too cold for the splash park to be up and running bit there was the green shack program happening during our time there. The playground is quite large and well kept. My kids had a lot of fun playing there.

The rubber ground is being destroyed by either bad kids or dogs. It's a great park usually busy in the hot afternoons as there is a spray park attached.

This park is awesome. The spraypad/dry park combo with the sand pit too. My kids could play here every day, all day and never get tired. Really busy though, especially on hit days. Not a ton of benches, but lots of grassy areas so bring a big towel or blanket to sit and watch the kids play.

Great area for families to let they're kids run wild. Has a good, safe community feel because many of the parents that frequent the area know each other. Good spot for a picnic.

Castle Downs (Water) Park (AKA Castle Downs YMCA). Well maintained and extremally popular with plenty of parking and field space. Several baseball diamonds, soccer fields and even a Cricket Pitch. The playground has spraying water fixtures and is next to a lot of grass and concrete for sitting and even a huge skate park. There are two semi-pro soccer fields that are getting upgrades every year (sprinklers, lights, uprights). Castle Downs is considered a "premier" site and as such expect to see a lot of City personal working hard to keep this place tip-top shape for the public to enjoy!

This is the best park that our family has found close to home. There is a wide variety of different play ground equipment. Bring swim trunks on warm days to enjoy the spray park. There is a skateboard park, a sand pit, lot's of swings, lots of things to climb, and lots of fun. The only thing about it is on a warm day it can get so full there won't be a place to park. Other than that it's awesome.

This Park is great because it has something for every age and during the summer months they turn on the water. There is bathrooms which is great! They have picnic tables and a lot of green space to lay a blanket down. I do wish there was signage reminding parents to NOT smoke while using or near the playground. I wish the slides were not metal as if your child gets wet and then goes on a slide it becomes very slippery and in the summer they become very HOT!!! overall the park is nice but It does get very busy.

Castle Downs park is a place for the kids to have recreational activities. I have been to Castle Downs park several times to play cricket. There is a YMCA located on the location has swimming pool and a fitness center. Excellent place for soccer practice and cricket

Nice park. Very large with a lot of activities. In good repair. The washrooms were open when we were there (summer), but I'm not sure if they are open year round (I don't see why they wouldn't be).

Very nice and big park to play. There are water spray, and 4-5 climbing and slide things in a different place according to their age. When I went there, I feel like I'm in the middle East. (95% parent wear hijab) and they chilling with their family and smoke shisha. There are place for skateboarding or scootering, basketball field, and soccer field. Contra: garbage everywhere.

Great place to take kids. Have been coming here since I was very little when they had the Dragon at the spray park half. Happy at how much updating they have done to the park, it looks great. My son loves coming here, there are always friendly kids there for him to play with and there is an interactive part of the playground with more modern light up games. The skate park is a great addition as well. They do have public washrooms and a change room building. You can cook and picnic with the iron barbeques they have with picnic benches and there is a field behind with ball diamonds and soccer posts for sports. A large covered wooden gazebo is located beside the skate park in case you want to wait out a storm and stay dry. The ice cream truck parks there on a daily basis in the summer. The park is quite busy in the summer and sometimes there isn't much parking available but that is the only downfall and it is still worth a 5 star rating !

One of our favorite playgrounds. Great for kids of different ages. It has a sand area, an area for older kids and two areas for younger kids. And in the summer there is the spray park too. Vey easy access, lots of parking, lots of green areas. It is a great park and playground.

First time I stopped there. Must have been at least 300 kids there having the time of their lives. Splash park . climbing bars, funny merry go round and a fantastic skateboard facility. Absolutely first class!

Great park with plenty to do. An interactive playground, skatepark catering to intermediate beginner and advanced spaced out well, basketball courts and walking pathway. A massive playground with rubber surface and a fair sized water park The space is huge so even when it's packed there's plenty of room . Indoor washrooms and plenty of green space as well as picnic tables and benches. I do recommend bringing an umbrella of some sort as there aren't many areas with shade or mature trees.

Great park, spray park and skate park. Kids love it there. They will have fun, so will the parents. Bathrooms on site with food trucks at certain times. Have seen liive entertainment there from time to time. Finding a spot with shade will be a challenge on hot days if you don't arrive early. Have fun!

Went with the grandkids (1 and 2.5 years old) and their parents on a hot morning. Lots of activities for them to do - play structures, sand play area including a spray park. For older kids there are more challenging activities as well as a skateboard park and basketball nets. Plenty of space to lay out a blanket although there are benches everywhere. Grandkids and parents were able to bike there on the pathway system.

Got there at 2pm. Found parking directly in front of park. Immediately found a spot in the shade. Lots of play stations for kids of all ages. Sand station, spray park, lots and lots of different climbing stations, swings, dizzy seats, skate park and plenty of grass for the parents to lounge around. I LOVE that this place has actual bathrooms!!!! We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Very nice park. Maybe I go on "off days", but there seems to be some bully type behaviour quite often. One might say "Well, it comes with the park". If that were a case, I would reply that I have been to pleanty of parks throughout Edmonton, and indeed, there are many where ALL the children play very nicely together....without the smaller ones being picked on. My little girls just want to play????‍♂️????

Great park!! With there being a spray park, playground and skate park there is something for all the kids to do. The parks are all close together making it easy to watch your children from the benches or the grassy areas surrounding them. This park is fairly busy but with a large parking area it was not hard to access.

Spray park is great for kids and the playground is quite large. The water at the spray park had a smell to it but probably just because it is likely recirculated all day to save resources and cost. Probably not enough picnic/grill areas most weekends when the weather is nice and same with the nearest parking lot.
