After 5 days the manager gave us a power trip and refused us access to the boats without reason. Result we will try to pass the exam having been able to practice only 2 hours. Remember to request a detailed invoice for your purchases so as not to suffer the same scam as us. ----------- The story : We wanted to sail the VoileCan with my girlfriend in order to sail the boat. We went to inquire at the nautical center of Chateauguay. Following this we found the prices too expensive (+/- $ 705 to go boating all summer [training + Grands Vents pass, this price is not including wetsuit and water shoes). So we dropped the idea of boating. June 24, 2017; a manager of the nautical center calls me and asks me if we are still interested. I replied that the price is too expensive for our financial means. She then offered me another offer by email in order to lower the rate. So we accepted the offer. My girlfriend and I paid $ 224 to prepare VoileCAN 1. Following this we were told that we would be allowed one week (see 2 depending on the exam date) to train on the boats for free and then we would have to pay $ 50 to take the exam. So far so good. This first contact was really available and attentive. Really very good. Finally, the training was postponed 3 times by the nautical center because either there is not enough wind, or too windy. No problem, they warned us that we were in no rush. Finally, two days of training planned: Saturday July 8 and Sunday 9. On Sunday the lessons are canceled by choice of the nautical center because there is not enough wind to go on the water. So we come back on Tuesday July 11, 2017 to finish the training. The following days, we go to the center to practice before the exam. - No chance; the 1st day (Wednesday 12/07) we are refused access to the boat because "too windy". - We come back on Friday 14/07, the nautical center still refuses us access to the boat because too much wind. - We come back on Saturday 15/07; everything is ok, we can finally make 2 hours of boat. - We come back the next day, Sunday 16/07. Access is denied to us because "too much wind". No problem, we ask to reserve the boat for the afternoon. And the ... the manager tells us that we will have to pay the rental. She tells us that the other manager did not have to tell us that; that she was wrong and that from now on we have to pay if we want to train before the exam! -> We only had a total of 4 days to train instead of the promised week. We were only able to go boating once because the nautical center refused us each time. We must add to this that each time we booked the boat or we had an appointment at the nautical center, we were never warned of the impossibility of taking a boat. Never the slightest cost of telephone except on Sunday 16/07; 1 time out of 7. Each time we moved to the center and lost time and gas. We invested in water suits and water shoes (+/- $ 200 in total) as required by the nautical center, we paid $ 224 for the training, and in the end I didn't give a damn total from managers who allow themselves to change the terms of sale once the customer has paid. We would never have registered if we had known that. Pay attention before paying; ask to have all the details of what you buy in writing. L'entente était que ces cours seraient suivit d'une semaine de location gratuite afin que nous puissions passer l'examen VoileCAN 1. Au bout de 5 jours la responsable nous a fait un power trip et nous a refusé l’accès aux bateaux sans raison. Résultat on va essayer de passer l'examen en ayant pu ne pratiquer que 2 heures. Pensez a demander une facture détaillé de vos achats afin de ne pas subir la même arnaque que nous. ----------- L'histoire : Nous voulions passer le VoileCan avec ma copine afin de faire du batteau à voile. Nous sommes allé nous renseigner au centre nautique de Chateauguay. Suite a cela nous avons trouvé les prix trop cher (+/-705$ pour faire du bateau tout l'été [formation + passe Grands Vents, ce prix est sans compter wetsuit et chaussures d'eau]. Nous avions donc laissez tombé l'idée de faire du bateau. Le 24 juin 2017; une reponsable du centre nautique m'appelle et me demande si nous sommes toujours interessé. Je lui ai répondu que le prix est trop cher pour nos moyens financier. Celle-ci m'a alors proposé une autre offre par courriel afin de diminuer le tarif. Nous avons donc accepté l'offre. Ma copine et moi avons payé 224$ afin de préparer le VoileCAN 1. Suite à cela on nous a indiqué que nous aurions le droit à une semaine (voir 2 selon la date d'examen) pour s'entrainer sur les bateaux gratuitement et qu'ensuite il nous faudrait payer 50$ pour passer l'examen. Jusque-là tout va bien. Cette première interlocutrice fut vraiment disponible et a l'écoute. Vraiment très bien. Finalement, la formation a été repoussée 3 fois par le centre nautique car soit il n'y a pas assez de vent, soit trop de vent. Pas grave, ils nous ont avertis que nous n'étions pas pressés. Finalement, deux jours de formation prévus : le samedi 8 juillet et dimanche 9. Le dimanche les cours sont annulés par choix du centre nautique car il n'y a pas assez de vent pour aller sur l'eau. Nous revenons donc le mardi 11 juillet 2017 pour finir la formation. Les jours suivant, nous nous présentons au centre pour pratiquer avant l'examen. - Pas de chance; le 1er jours (mercredi 12/07) on nous refuse l'accès au bateau car "trop de vent". - Nous revenons le vendredi 14/07, le centre nautique nous refuse encore l'acces au bateau car trop de vent. - Nous revenons le samedi 15/07; tout est ok, nous pouvons enfin faire 2heures de bateau. - Nous revenons le lendemain, le dimanche 16/07. L'accès nous est refusé car "trop de vent". Aucun problème nous demandons à reserver le bateau pour l'après-midi. Et la... la responsable nous indique qu'il va falloir payer la location. Elle nous indique que l'autre responsable n'avait pas à nous dire cela; qu'elle s'est trompé et que dorénavant il faut que l'on paye si l'on veut s'entrainer avant l'examen ! -> Nous n'avons au total eu que 4 jours pour nous entrainer au lieu de la semaine promise. Nous n'avons pu faire qu'une seule fois du bateau car le centre nautique nous a refusé a chaque fois. Il faut ajouter a cela qu'a chaque fois que nous avions réservé le bateau ou que nous avions rendez-vous au centre nautique, jamais nous n'avons été prévenu de l'impossibilité de prendre un bateau. Jamais le moindre cout de téléphone a part le dimanche 16/07; 1 fois sur 7. A chaque fois nous nous sommes déplacé au centre et avons perdu du temps et de l'essence. Nous avons investis dans des combinaisons d'eau et des chaussures d'eau (+/-200$ en tout) comme requis par le centre nautique, nous avons payé 224$ pour la formation, pour au final subir un je m'en foutisme total de la part des responsables qui se permettent de changer les conditions de vente une fois que le client a payé. Jamais ne nous serions inscrit si nous avions su cela. Faites attention avant de payer; demandez à avoir tous les détails de ce que vous achetez à l'écrit. Cela vous permettra de vous défendre si vous subissez la même chose ! Très déçu par le centre nautique de Châteauguay.

Ce qui déçoit les enfants qui veulent ramasser petites roches ou coquillages. Quand qu'il y a beaucoup de petits bateaux et seadoo à l'eau... L'odeur du gaz est insupportable. Surtout si tu est sur ta planche, à kayak ou petite embarcation sans moteur. Beaucoup de petits bateaux et seadoo ne respecte pas la distance ou vitesses à certain endroit.
