The pictures are incredibly misleading. The beach is awful. The sand is so silty and feels dirty. There was decaying vegetation everywhere. Bugs wouldn't stop biting every step of the way. There was basically no clean sand to stay on. Avoid this place.

Nice beach, although not very big at high tide. Found a couple of little pieces of beach glass, though! Lovely views, good amenities, convenient parking, and clean washrooms.

Our favorite south shore beach in PEI. Catch the right time and you can walk out nearly a KM. Lots of sea life and animals to see. There are bathrooms, play area and picnic tables.

Great beach, although can get a little messy with the red sand and clay. On a hot and sunny day, when the tide is coming in over the dark sand, the water is positively hot - just like the Caribbean! Lots of marine life for the kids to look at as well.

Quite beach, it is cold today. We enjoyed the time here. Washroom available on site, very clean, hot and cold water available. Picnic tables are available. The downside of it the mosquitoes ???? ???? (mosquitoes love me alot, I had alot of kisses from them) be prepared.

The park is well groomed with a few swings and play equipment for the little ones. There are also picnic tables to occommodate an outdoor snack but there are certainly better beaches to choose from. Parking is limited but ample.

A beautiful park, well-maintained community facilities, free entrance and parking, just minutes from downtown Charlottetown. And the dramatic difference between low tide and high tide means that Tea Hill is practically two beaches in one!

Spent a lovely afternoon on the beach here at low tide... Which is the best time to enjoy this beach since you can go for endless walks through the shallow puddles in the sea sand/mud. There are all sorts of clams to dig for and so much ocean life to entertain yourself with. This beach is typically unguarded so it's best to keep a close watch on young ones even with the shallow water. The views are terrific and I will definitely be back again and again

Wonderful beach! Not much when high tide is in but great when tide is out. Lots of red sand to play in. It's not beach sand beach. But you can dig for clams and splash in the water for about 2km out into the ocean. Free parking!

Hidden gem of a beach. When the tide is low this beach has so many sand bars to explore. The parking lot is somewhat small so you might have to walk a ways to reach the beach, but once on the sand bars it’s a very cool beach to be on.

This place was recommended to us by locals who assured the it was the warmest beach around. In that regard it didn't disappoint. The amount of debris (grass, etc) both on the beach and in the water, as well as the murky water, was off putting though.

Tea Hill Park is a beautiful park in one of the quaint neighborhoods on PEI. Dont be surprised to find yourself to be the only personal in this park. There are restrooms amd a kids play area. If you wish to go down to the end of the park and hit the beach dont forget to bring a jacket coz it gets windy very quickly. The beach is not a regular sandy beach. Its red mud beach not really the type where one plans to soak in the Sun. However, its beautiful place to see the waves combing the shores gently. If you are in PEI do visit for a few hours. Not that far from Charlottetown.

Great beach for kids to explore at low tide, slides and swings and other equipment. Lots of shade and picnics tables. Washrooms with toilets and sinks in the cricket canteen. Great place to spend a day with the family for free. Well maintained and clean.

Super for shallow pools at lower tides. Large open cricket field, washrooms, great park. 15 min. from UPEI. Low tide is a wading experience which you will carry for years to come. Giant surf clams, endless warm currents, a simple delight just a short ride from the downtown Charlottetown. Yes, there are beaches with more sand and stones or cliffs, but for the proximity to town, this is a great place at mid to low tide. A great choice on a tight schedule. Plenty of space to pic nic with a crowd or just a few.
