Great too see the Buffalo. It was a very hot day when I was there..so the Buffalo were quiet a distance away toward the shade trees. Beautiful large animals.

Only place to see and pet buffalo on PEI.

Great to see the Buffalo but it would be nice, being a provincial park, if there were a park area. ie: picnic tables, bathrooms, etc.

(Translated) Impressive animals, it is totally free and we had a great time. Nearby there is a lake and it is very beautiful too. If you wonder what the blue buffalo does. He is imitating one of the real ones.

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!! My partner and I were lucky enough to visit the park on a day where no one else was around, so maybe our experience differs from other visitors because the atmosphere was very calm. There was no fee to visit this park, and parking our vehicle was easy with the amount of space they provide. The herd of buffalo slowly approached us from across the field and walked right up to the fence (I'm sure they are accustomed to people feeding them hay/ grass). You can respectfully get up close and personal with the buffalo, which we loved. I also appreciate that the herd has a TON of space to run around, so they aren't forced to be an attraction. It is nice to see animals being taken care of, with the choice of removing themselves from people if they choose to. This park visit was probably one of my most favourite along our trip out east!

This place can be hit or miss depending on where the Bison are congregated on a particular day. We got lucky this time as they were very close to the viewing area.

It's OK but no one was there to answer any questions. When you arrived you should park your car in front of the park then going for the lookout point.

It would be nice if there was a sign explaining about where the Buffalo came from an maybe a QR code to follow

Park should be re-named since these are bison, not buffalo! Don't come during noon or very hot days- you want it around 20-28 degrees so the bison feel comfy wandering the grounds. Very easy going, come in and park in a grassy spot, walk around the grounds to find the herd. There's a lookout in the middle section, to get a better view if the bison herd is not close to the external fence. Very peaceful, great stop for a half-hour to an hour. No shade or amenities, but really amazing to see on the island. Bison babies FTW!

Michelle Plucas

We had a hard time finding the entrance. Don't park in the lot off the highway.

Have loved going to watch the buffalo since I was a little girl. Now I get to share the same experience with my children! The buffalo are amazing animals!

Great to see the buffalo. Just fyi, no services here, just the buffalo which is a must see. There was a beer bottle inside the enclosure, so some jerk has tossed it in there possibly at them, or figured they'd appreciate the trash, either way, was sad to see. I was happy to see some baby buffalo though! There is a viewing platform you can walk to between the enclosures to get a better look.

Paul Daley

It was great a lot more there than i remember and it was nice that they were visable.

Kinda neat place to go but you don't always see the buffalo especially on a hot day they seem to be hiding somewhere. I'm guessing if you go at feeding time it would be better but we were just passing by and dropped in a couple of times. The babies are soooo cute! Even from far away. They have a raised deck you can go up to get a better view. Or duck under for a bit of shade lol.

Great place to see live buffalos

When going there you should remember it is a sanctuary, not a zoo. So there is a chance that buffalo will not be visible. We found only 3 sighting spots, may be there are more. No map though. Overall, magical animals and it was worth going.

David Mitchell

Great place and great place to bring your family.

One of my favorite little experiences of PEI is driving out to the middle of nowhere and randomly finding Buffaloland and trekking through. The monks own and care for the park, leaving the animals to live natural lives while attempting to neuter as many as possible to cull the growing herd. Its neat feeling some of the fur that has blown in the wind.

Nice place to visit with the kids...we went in the spring so the buffalo weren't hiding in the trees getting away from the heat and flies

(Translated) “Buffalos and wild geese to see” We used the opportunity to see buffalo here. The park is not far from Montague, so we drove out quickly. These are impressive animals. You can also see wild geese in the same park. There are no other animals. (Original) “Büffel und Wildgänse zu sehen” Wir haben hier die Gelegenheit benutzt Büffel zu sehen.
