great park with great facilities. well kept with decent parking!

Nice small park with ocean access

A nice beach below the red cliffs with shells and ideal skipping stones in seemingly unlimited abundance. The waterfalls on the cliffs add a picturesque touch to the beach. There are picnic and clean washroom facilities advice the cliffs.

Argyle Shore is a bit of a hidden gem of PEI's west coast, although it is getting busier in recent years. Be careful when turning in from Rt. 19, it can be easily missed. The beach itself is red-sand and there are plenty of tall cliffs and grassy areas for picnicking. The waves on this side of the Island are usually never large, so it is a great option for families.

Small beach but still a nice place to visit.

Great little park and absolutely worth a visit. The sandbars at low tide are a great experience for kids and anybody who enjoys skinny dipping. The park is also terrific for picnics with plenty of picnic tables and well kept toilets. A must if you're near Argyle Shore.

Small but picturesque park with red cliffs and a small waterfall.

Really very beautiful place to visit. Clean bathrooms. Check with Tide Times if you want to swim. Great views.

Peaceful and quiet. It was really beautiful but it did smell bad.

Beautiful red sand beach - we even saw a Jellyfish washed up on shore!

Low tide evenings just before sunset is the best time to visit. The light and colors are magical!

Definitely recommend stopping here when in PEI. A very cool sight to be seen, but make sure to go when tide is out so you can walk on the beach.

Beautiful little park. Worth stopping by to stretch your legs after crossing into PEI. Picturesque from the sea shore looking back at the little green park cabin.

Beautiful Park. Some facilities but nothing exotic. Small Waterfall at the beach. Low tide brings large sandbars which are great for walking. Picnic tables and a small playground, along with seasonal bathrooms and changing rooms are available. Nice hidden spot!

Super beautiful! My first visit to a red beach. Parking is free and a great place to relax and have a picnic. Washrooms and shower facilities are there free of charge and a nice playground. Stairs down the cliffs take you to Oceanside access when tides are low.

Beautiful place for kids to be and the view is just stunning

Didn't feel like bathing in the water, but great sight seeing opportunity and checking out the red sand.

Beautiful, not too crowded. Red sand and cliffs, lots of parking, washrooms and area to clean off the sand. Lots of life in the tide pools, lots of crabs to catch if you venture out. Highly recommend.

An absolutely beautiful park to visit on the red coast shore. A secluded, private beach against the cliffs is perfect for a quiet afternoon, while the flush toilets, showers, and sheltered picnic benches are ideal for full day trips as well. A great place to visit when you're looking for a quiet day trip away from the busier tourist beaches!

The area is beautiful! I went on a rainy day but still had a fun time walking around the area and looking at stuff.

This is an amazing park that is free and not crowded at all. At low tide, you can walk out for hundreds of yards and marvel at the red sand an interesting tide pools. The rocks way to the right of the beach are fun to explore and take pictures of. Don't forget to bring a bucket and a gardening spade to dig up clams. There are surf and razor clams here that are sweet and tasty when steamed.

Nice little beach, not many people.

Lovely beach! You can bring your (on leash) dog, too. Shallow water, low tide the sand bars go out forever. No beach at all at high tide, though.

Huge green space (kick a ball, throw a frisbee) with a little viewing area above the shores. Steps leading down to the water get a little wet at high tide, but no problem at low tide. Beautiful deep red hues all around.

Nice park, empty during non-beach season

Beautiful beach, and once the tide goes out you can walk forever. We even set up our beach toys next to a waterfall!

A must see when coming to PEI. This Park is what convinced me to want to move to the island.

Great quiet park to visit while in PEI. *Watch your kids, there's some cliffs at the edge of the playground.

nice little beach with not a lot of peoples +you can find parking without problem +picnic table available +very cose to the water + nice spot for picture +structure for kid to climb

Pretty area...has a nice playground picnic area and stairs to shore.

Visited in wintertime and Park was closed. This said, the straight cliffs, the red surf and the melting snow provoking water to pour through a crack makes it an impressive area. It is also said to be one of the most erosion-affected area on the island.

Great place for family with children.

Perfect place to see the erosion of PEI. You definitely understand the crumbling substance and the rich iron oxide dirt in which this Canadian treasure is built on. Such a unique experience! Ruby sands, emerald grass and sapphire skies are in an abundance. This is how I always imagined PEI to be.

A lovely provincial park with a nice shore to explore.

Perfect place to enjoy and endless summer day. Bathroom facility on site, sandbars that last forever. Gorgeous cliffs and natural waterfalls. Pack lots of food and stay for the day!

Lots of sandbars and a small waterfall near the stairs to the beach. Great place for toddlers to splash and play. Beach is not wheelchair accessible , or stroller suitable. Full washroom and change room with outdoor foot wash . Small playground area with shade and parking nearby. The cliff is quote steep and not fenced, caution can be required for small children.

It's an amazing park. Go at low tide and you'll get the best view possible. Great spot for families to visit.

Beautiful spot that has warmer water as it's on the south shoreline.

More than just a great beach. We love to go and picnic and enjoy the outstanding view.

Lovely place to visit. So peaceful!

Great views but rocky beach

Great spot to see the famous red shores of Prince Edward Island

A great, small, south shore beach with beautiful red sand cliffs. There's also a play area for children, washrooms, picnic tables, and lots of room in the grassy areas to run around or simply lay out in the sun!

Beautiful day n 20 degrees...water warm too!! The dog n i loved it n met sum other ppl too n dogs too❤????????????

Red beach looks good! Don't try to collect red "rocks", they just look like to rocks but can be easy broken by hands.

Beautiful spot with amazing views and great place for family and friends gathering, BUT I wouldn’t recommend swimming the water; its too muddy.

Great fun wading in the water and/or through tide pools. Includes a small cold clean waterfall, and red sand that looks really dark in your hand, but washes off easily. Lots of crabs, snails, little shrimpy things, and other fun critters for little kids to find. I think I saw an eel too. Change rooms / bathrooms, small shower to wash sand off, nice little cliff, beach that changes from small (with shallow water to a far distance) to very large with tide pools and daily sculpted sands.

Beautiful little park. Great place to see the red sand shore, good low tide sea life viewing. This is not a place that you would want to go for a day of swimming and sand castle. A dip maybe.

Do not come before 3pm because of the tides. There's no beach otherwise. Nice playground for the kids and some picnic tables. Dogs on leash only.

Beautiful and calm place for an evening beach walk.

Nice place to chill. Locker room and real showers available.

Loved it! The shallow warm water, the red sand, tons of sea weeds and a tiny water fall. The beach is not just picture perfect, it is perfect to spend you day during the low tide. You can just relax and soak the sun. If the sun gets too much, there is enough shade for relief. And to top it all, it was not crowded (we visited on a weekday)..

We used to live in PEI but until we visited this park I never saw a waterfall in PEI. Granted, it was small and only a few metres high. Took pics. ????

Nice beach with a very neat shoreline. But not very good for swimming. The water is muddy from the red sand and feels like putting your foot in mud when walking through it. Beautiful views but poor beach for swimming.

Beautiful National park in PEI .. the view from here to the Sea is wonderful breathtaking, so calm and relaxed,I totally recommended this place again, I'm looking forward to my next visit , also have showers and access to the ocean where you can admire the high and low tide as well the beauty of the red sandstones , pictures are real .. ????????

Clean simple beach and great views

Beautiful red sands. Lots of life on the shore: hermit crabs and small fish. Very shallow water near the shore where you can walk out for ages just ankle or knee deep ( a bit to cold for a swim in early July). Good washroom/shower facilities too.

Very quiet and well kept. Tide was high at the time of photos. We travel off season.

30 minutes from Charlottetown, access is free and the beach is quiet. Beautiful red landscape. The beach is quite rocky.

Playground for the kids and picnic area for family. Wading in the waters during low tide you can see marine life in the shallow pools.

Great place to experience the bright red mud!! ????

Beautiful place! The cliffs are amazing and the waterfall is neat. Not too crowded and plenty of room to find a spot on the beach. Quite a rocky beach in this area. We had lots of fun exploring the cliffs and playing with hermit crabs. There are two small playgrounds for kids.

Pretty little beach, kids loved the waterfall. States there are showers but are currently closed due to covid-19

Very scenic beach with the red cliffs on both sides. Better at low tide as at high tide the beach is quite narrow.

Classic PEI beauty

Beautiful view. Lots of picnic tables, playground for the kids and a shelter for rainy visits.

Beautiful beach, best at low tide because you can walk around on the sandbar. Great place for dogs.

Nice red sandy beach, what you hear about PEI- our puppy was allowed on the beach, on her leash and that was awesome. The kids had fun, disappointing for no sand dollars which are apparently everywhere.

Great place for beachcombing. Beautiful!

Beautiful beach with an amazing red cliff and spring that creates a small waterfall at the beach. The only issue if you want to swim is that the abundant red bedrock and sand turn the water red for some distance out com beach. Also nice grassy area with shade and plenty of parking.
