Had to catch the ferry in this little Newfoundland town. Being on the west coast of the island provides some great views, especially at sunset. The boats they use for the ferries are BIG and because COVID didnt allow free movement inside, no chance to look around ???? maybe next time! The cabins are comfy and well maintained. I recommend booking one if you overnight.

The boat is very beautiful. Will go again. Close to the J-T cheeseman provincial park . Very good camping.

Beautiful little port city that is your gateway to Newfoundland. Make sure you come a little early for your fairy or when you talk you take a little time to wander around before you drive on to wherever you are headed in the province.

My family is from there and my aunt and uncle still live there my mother moved to Nova Scotia 40 years ago and we go back whenever we can to visit small town but everyone is friendly and helpful they treat you with the respect you'd never find anywhere else
