There’s something enchanting about the red sand and the dunes on PEI, and North Rustico is one of the Islands many postcard perfect locations. Full disclosure we are a little biased as we have family in North Rustico so there is certainly a sentimental attachment to the area but a visit to the area will not disappoint! From the beach to the boardwalks a day in North Rustico is highly recommended. Relax and watch the fishing boats come in and out of the harbour, grab a bite at one of the great restaurants or just wander around this quaint little town. Located close to Cavendish and may other attractions it’s a great place to use as a “base camp” for your time on PEI.

Had a chance to walk on this beach. If you drive to the end of the road, there is a dirt road that leads to a parking lot with Lifeguard supervision. A beautiful place to spend a day as there are change rooms and bathrooms. A short walk will get you to a restaurant or two near the North Rustic fishing/your piers. We walked along the beach to the opposite end of the beach and were shocked at the stench of dead fish, half way through the walk. The smell disappeared as we kept walking but it did not encourage us to go back. It was a beautiful beach but I hope the smell was only temporary.

Spent two weeks camping in North Rustivo. Just one of the most peaceful places I have been in many parts of the world. Went to church and civic lobster dinners where I could find them or built campfire and went to small fishing villages and bought fish,shell fish or lobsters, cooked potatoes or sweet potatoes. Just a beautiful island populated by very gracious people. GOD'S ISLAND!

Very rarely crowded (especially this Covid summer!). Soft sand...can regularly watch a well-reknown sand-castle builder creating masterpieces! Used to he great for sea glass hunting but seems to be picked over these days! August & Sept are the best months...expect some jellyfish earlier in the summer (June..sometimes July).

Gorgeous beach and warm waters but it had a funky smell when we went and a swim warning that was unclear of where it pertained to. If that sign hadn't been so unsettling and the smell gone a 5 star for sure. So beautiful.

Incredible coastline. Perfect place to stop, park the car and enjoy the view. We even had a chance to see a bald eagle on the beach!

One of the smaller beaches on the island and it’s usually popular..but it’s an OK spot! Tons of seagulls and seaweed which makes the smell pretty bad though! :(
