Excellent lake not far from town, 3 different parking lots for different access to beaches, but many side road parking options as well. Bathrooms on site to the parking lots, boat launch on site as well.

Beautiful lake close to town. Hot spot with the locals means there's always lots of people around enjoying the lake for better and worse. Some clear sand and some pebble Beach. Dog friendly. Water is clear and cold. Gates close early, around 10 I think. Its a favourite place for cops to set up roadblocks so drive safely.

Great place to go for a walk anytime of the year. Excellent swimming in the summer and always well taken care of recreation areas.

Such a beautiful place to visit. There are so many swimming areas! Just be sure you do swim in a designated area as other places outside the buoys can be very mucky with some quick drop offs.

Absolutely packed on a hot day. Parking is usually pretty challenging but worth it if you can find a spot close and a quiet piece of beach.

Always a great time out at McIvor Lake with my kids, people respect your space as well. Which I like. Definitely recommend to those who are unsure. Parking sucks tho haha, almost like get there early to get decent parking. Went on a day that wasn't so busy.

It is a good place to go for a swim, there is a pet seminary close to the end of the lake drive, a boat launch, and three beaches that are blocked off from the boat launch

There was definitely a large sum of water making up a lake with a large portion of sand around said lake making very sandy areas to get a sun burn. also a great place to drink in front of familys trying to enjoy a very small swimming area. Great area to take the kids out on the boat and drag them around on a tube well you pray they actually know how to swim because of the lack of lifeguards. All that being said i give it a solid 8/10 just dont drown

Nice place to chill in the sun. Some cell services in areas. But when you are at the beach.... Who want their phone ! Take the day off and go for a swim in the nice cool not cold ...water. very refreshing. Good people all around relaxing.

I think this is the best beach on Vancouver Island. Reminds me at beaches in Europe. Sandy, great water access though gets deep fast, water is pleasant, warmest of any lake I've been to, etc. Parking is plentiful and right by the beach. There is a boat ramp for pleasure crafts. Just amazing.

Several beaches on this lake, best ones are smaller and more private. Nice sandy beaches which is great, and also in some places, a sandy bottom in the water. We have only spent the day at two different spots and with both, the water became deep fairly quickly so not sure how good it is for kids, unless there is another beach that is more kid-friendly. All of the beaches are dog friendly, which is a definite plus!

The view was amazing and so was the water, see the bottom of the lake cause it was so clear. The only thing is make sure u bring swimming shoes, rocks galore.

What can I say? Went December 6 and 7th for a swim! I like swimming in the winter. Cold water is good for health and will go back swimming later on this winter there.

The city of Campbell River should put some money into the boat launch. It seems that there is a desire to expand the limits of the town but not the desire to maintain all areas to proper levels
