Such a peaceful place to get grounded, spend some time by the water, say hi to the family of ducks (ha). Occasionally watch a school of baby seagulls learning to fly 3 inches above the water. We fly a kite as long as it's not busy.

Such a privilege to be able to use this beautiful park, it would be even better if dog owners were responsible and picked up THEIR pets poop with the bags provided (no excuse) so others using the park don't step in it or so other dogs don't roll in it as some like to do etc. It was great to see so many out walking, we really do live in paradise! This is a lovely urban park with water on three sides. The trails and benches are delightful. We also read every detail on all the interpretive signs and learned about the history of the area. Free parking and doggie bags were plentiful.

City of Campbell River does a very poor job of maintaining this precious land as a park. The access road go from wide to narrow without warning signs. Yet big RVs use it to visit the RV Park. Road surface has many potholes. The side gravel soakers have many big pot holes in need of grading. There is no playground 30km sign leaving the park. Cars & motorbike turn at the last parking area then boomerang out of it at very high speed making speed bumps before the playground and RV Park neccessary. Also needed at these spots are crosswalks with flashing lights. Some day if the city doesn't widen the access road a vehicle will catch the curb mount the sidewalk & kill a pedestrian or run over a family with little children trying to cross the road at the playground or RV park to go walk their dog. This is the most frequented park in the city, yet it at time looks so worn down & unsafe.

I love this place. My wife and I regularly drive down here from home just to walk around "The Spit" path, and visit with all of the birds and wildlife. The Campbell River Estuary always has something new to watch, from eagles to seals to the little Tyee fishing boats (August every year) to helicopters, float planes, canoes and kayaks. There is a nice playground for kids, and the sunsets are great. Pretty much heaven on earth.

Beautiful park for walking and riding. The paths are immaculately kept and the area is very clean. With a beautiful view of both the estuary and the strait its a great location for photography and sightseeing. A large variety of birds in this area makes it a bird watching paradise. A local park for the kids is a great addition as well. Plenty of free parking is a giant advantage. A local gem in Campbell River.

Our preferred area for walking. Very scenic. The ocean and Quadra Island, the coast mountains on one side of the spit and the Campbell River estuary with it's abundant waterfowl on the other side. Plenty of benches available to sit and revel in the beauty of nature and its myriad creations.

This small park has picnic tables, a bench and an amazing view of the ocean. Steps down to the rocky beach let you walk along the shore or out towards the water during low tide. The only draw back is the awkward parking lot which is more challenging for large trucks.
