A nice little nature trail nestled amongst the Campbell River industrial area. Perfect for a short stroll with your dogs off leash and a spot for them to swim at the end of the trail.

Great place to take the dog for a walk... However, too many people aren't picking up after their dogs!

Nice place for a walk and for birding. Most people seem to ignore the 'dogs on leash' signs which isn't awesome. The trail along the river channel is especially nice.

Turned off by the dogs running free, maybe owners thought all they needed was to have the leash on not actually holding on to it!. Smelled like dog poo and lots of poo bags sitting along the walkway! Didn't consider it a nature trail should be labeled dog walking area. Won't be back! Really didn't want to give it any stars as a nature preserve.

I think Baikie Island nature park is one of Campbell River's best kept secrets. It is worth exploring and a nice place to come and watch all sorts of water fowl.
