A lovely inner city park off the bow river. Shares close proximity to Prince's island park, eau claire market, and downtown. Reaonable transit access. You will find this park is very busy on a warm summer day but you will never feel crowded.

The park itself is nice, pretty surroundings, nice places to hang out, looks cool at night time! I just wish people would walk on the walk path and not on the cycle path. Very frustrating weaving in between crowds of people when the walk path has plenty of space for them.

One of the true gems in this city, always a great place to visit regardless the time of the year. Whether you intend to do some shopping in the small mall or shops along the boardwalk, or a stroll along the river, it rarely disappoints. Can be a bit sketchy at night due to the homeless folk and junkies, but just be aware of your surroundings and you'll be fine. Most won't bother you unless provoked. Absolutely gorgeous scenery no matter the season.

Excellent green space in the heart of the city. A great spot for a lunch hour picnic, or to play a sport. There are many amenities such as Eau Claire shopping center, and many festivals and day-time activities take place here. If you're looking to get away from your desk at lunch or even meet some friends for a break after work, this is the place to do it!

Great park for a walk.

One of the biggest parks in Calgary that is home to the Peace Bridge, Eau Claire Market and outdoor skating rink in the winter and a small outdoor splash park for little kids in the summer time. There is a great area filled with flowers during the summer as well. There are plenty of modern benches installed now which makes it great for elderly and young kids for enjoying the river view. Not to mention playgrounds for kiddos. And lots of good spots for pictures and people watching.

Excellent for a stroll with many interesting public monuments, like the peace groove with 12 elm trees groove - in celebration of 125 years of Canada. Traditional Hungarian carving on a pole. Turul bird - freedom monument.

One of the best areas of the city to go. Bring tourists here! Lots to see, it's beautiful, there's a skating rink in the winter that's free. Love it. Lots of Poke-stops too if that's your thing.

We've tried Yemen Village for the first time. It was a very pleasant experience. The people who are regular is diverse from different Middle-East cultures, which gives it an exotic environment. The service was quick, efficient, and friendly. The food was simply perfect!! Very flavorful and rich of textures. We recommend the Lamb Mandi, if you like lamb, and Charred Beef. Two excellent dishes that can serve 3 people easily. We'll be back for sure.

☆ Eau Claire Park is sandwiched between the south bank of the Bow River and the Eau Claire shopping/residential district on the north side of Calgary's downtown core. It is part of a major renovation of Calgary's East Village connecting the Bow River path system to 'The Peace Bridge', Calgary's 'River Walk', 'East Village' and 'Fort Calgary'. Even though the park is still under construction, safe pathways are marked to allow access and passage for pedestrians and cyclists. If you are looking for a great walk downtown, out of the traffic, along the river; 'Eau Claire Park' and the 'River Walk' welcome you.

Be sure to include this if visiting. Part of the beautiful river walk. Grab a coffee at the Simmons building and enjoy the whole walk. Also if you like neat facts, read up ahead about the wooden benches that are actually for flood prevention. During the summer it's bustling with performers and the splash pad is a local favourite. Also nearby every weekend there is a special festival of some kind to check out, whether in Eau Claire or across the bridge.
