Rode through here on the bike many many times over the years. They have done a nice job of restoring the pathways after the 2013 flood. The area is kept pretty clean and happy to see they have been out this year planting some new trees.

This remains one of my favourite spots in Calgary. It's not yet as busy as some of the other well known spots which makes it more of a peaceful bird-watching destination. People are not always respectful here; and I wish humans could allow animals some peace. I have taken thousands of pictures here (long lense so at a distance always) & spent many, many hundreds of hours here walking and meditating. Please understand that playing music loudly in this area is very disruptive to the wildlife. Take some time to breathe & be quiet; allow other people to enjoy this space without all the noise we get everywhere else.

The path is at water level, right next to the river. It is an 'immersive" experience. Lots of wildlife, including pheasants, bald eagles and deer.

A special place brimming with life during any season. Part of what makes Calgary a special place is the river valley, an oasis of life in all seasons, there is is no other place I know of where in the middle of winter daily migrations of geese head out to the fields to eat and return. I have never seen so much wildlife in any other place that is so accessible, a must see for visitors and residents alike.
