A nice hike. Can be done in a day if you're fit enough . Steep up to the ridge. Very buggy in the summer. Not lots of water.

I LOVE the trails. The short boardwalk hike is perfect for little kids. Few outhouses along the way. Lots of benches for stopping for a pic nic.

Terrific park! We went to the Mt Washington section of it and did the short hike to Lake Helen Mackenzie, the trails are all very well marked and well maintained. Not a lot of bugs, but bringing bear spray might be a good idea.

One of many beautiful places on the island. Raw beauty,(bears and cougars), the biggest trees in the country and lots of great places to swim. Campbell River nearby for groceries.
