Snowshoeing in the many different areas of this great park is worth the drive. Main park area has snowshoe rentals. Dress for the weather and only go if prepared for the cold.

Best camping sites! Big open space yet private enough from other campers. We always camp at hampton and have 3 or 4 cars parked on site with no problems. You do have to drive out about 10mins to use Lightning lake and any other hikes/trails but we dont mind. Mosquitoes are plentiful in the summer so bring lots of bug spray/ citronella candles!

Sat Sidhu

Just under 3 hours drive and you come to this amazing provincial park. Plenty for everyone.. amazing lakes and hikes and trails... Most accessible by car. Haven't gone skiing here, but summer visits have been a pleasure. the kids specially.loved the lightning lake. Only negative is dirty washrooms... But this is for every park.

Golden Reviews

Vast provincial park bisected by a highway. Lots to see and do, and very pretty. It does get very busy during peak times, so be prepared and book in advance. Take care when choosing a campsite as some are well within hearing distance of the busy highway. The campsites mostly seem to be well kept and shady, the staff that I encountered were very friendly but not able to help with booking issues, as this is run externally.

The lake was with harmony. Didn’t catch the right time of renting a kayak. But the views were fabulous. Check out the photos

This park is a beautiful place to visit, with lots of lakes and scenic walks. In the summer, you can enjoy walking through fields of wildflowers and in the winter, snowshoeing or other winter sports.

Shawn Helmer

Great location, not to busy & friendly staff.

Ryan Roach

Beautiful campgrounds. Fantastic lightening storm, first time in 3 years no campfire ban.

Sepideh Eshraghi

Another great place near Vancouver, great for a day trip.

Julie Grandbois

We stayed at the Hampton campground. It was nicely maintained and there's enough privacy between campsites. There weren't any photos of the campsites online, so I'm posting some now.

SUPER CLIPS

Always love being here. It's one of the best place to be at in summers. I ride solo as well and we do family trips to Manning parks as well. You and your family can have a great time at the lightening lake.

Juraj Podsklan

Beautiful nature in the Manning Park, worth a visit year around, but would expect it to be busy constantly as well. We visited at the beginning of October and most parking areas were packed, though we did not see that many people when we walked around or sat down at the picnic ground by the lake, which was a bit odd. Then again there are lots of trails and areas to explore, so perhaps people took advantage of the nice warm weekend to go see as much as possible. Looking forward to coming to the park again.

Nice place for relax

Jegook Lee

Too far to get there from Vancluver

Kwong Peter

Good for winter sports and summer hiking, spectacular scenery just 2.5 hours from Vancouver

Manjinder Sidhu

Very scenic and beautiful area, offers walks, hikes, skiing, lakes & more.

Jason V

Pretty and secluded spots even if you're very close to the highway. Their new play ground is fantastic for kids both young and older.

Golnoosh SN

Good campgrounds and lots of scenic and beautiful hikes. Heather trail in July is a piece of heaven.

Jamie Schellenberg

Outstanding. Never been to Manning Park without being super impressed. Camping, skiing, hiking, or just a stop on the way through.

Ihab Fahmy

Love it so beautiful I camp twice there lots of hiking trails and camping sides

Becky Stacey

Beautiful place love the scenery, however to the people who like to tailgate thru the park..its really an unsafe practice to do because the last guy i seen doing it ended up in the ditch please be mindful of others enjoy the park slowdown so you can enjoy it

Lee Thao

You can see the mountain range that separate the USA borderline from here. Its a breath taking view all around.

Zinat Hassan

The park where I learning to snow ski about 45 years ago, is still one of my favourite stops when traveling to/from the Lower Mainland to the Okanagan, where I now live. I'm encouraged by the numbers of people I saw enjoying their time there today, as this area has gone through different ownership over the years, and with it, its fortune goes. There's been some construction recently, both upgrades and additions. There's still a nice large parking lot, a little coffee shop, restrooms, park benches, and a restaurant. There is now also a Lodge where one can book a room and stay for as long as desired. I noticed construction occurring today, of a bunch of new chalets. All encouraging signs for a great future for this area.

Our little secret ski resort. Shhhh. Don't let it out but Manning Park is a great place to ski. Great snow conditions. Well groomed and maintained runs. No lineups at the ski lifts too. The lodge is a little pricey for food but you can tailgate from your car right on the hill. The hotel is a nice place to stay and the rooms have recently been updated. There is a pool, hottub (so necessary after a day of skiing) steam room/sauna as well as a weight room. Outside there is a skating rink as well as a first class sledding hill. If your looking for a great place to take the kids for a weekend of skiing, Manning Park is the place.

Beautiful and picturesque trails all around the park. Hiked in early October and it was super windy closer to the top of the mountain (three brothers trail). Even in October I got sun burned pretty severely so take your usual sun protection regardless of the season as it's an alpine environment. Trail was well traveled but not marked and phone reception was spotty at best so plan ahead and have an emergency plan before hitting the road. I highly recommend hike in a group. This is a remote environment, unlike a metropolitan area like Vancouver emergency services are not just a phone call away. Be prepared.

Scary driving, maintenance wise snow wise, Ridiculous!

Michelle Nicholson

This large park borders Hwy 3. The campgrounds are a short drive on a paved road up into the hills. We chose the Lightening Lakes campground. As with most BC Provincial parks the are no utilities at any campsites. Drinking water tabs are located throughout park. Dump station is available near hwy. There are big, clean washrooms with free, hot showers and a modern children’s playground. The sites are large, mostly level and fairly private. Beautiful forest, lots of shade, beautiful lake a short walk from campground. LOTS of trails in this park. They are well marked with distances and difficulty. Good roads, well maintained park with friendly staff.

Beautiful, quiet ....loved every minute of it!

Shandy White

Absolutely fantastic! Fatdog trail by snowshoe was amazing. Next time I'd like to ski it!

Mandy Peacock

Our favorite location to camp! Facilities at most of the sites are simple (typical provincial park standards) but the Lightning Lake campground is that rare fantastic one with well-kept flush toilet/ shower blocks! The park has a number of different nature activities for the whole family, from nightly interactive talks to guided walks (all by donation with proceeds going to the park upkeep and educational programs). There are so many trails to explore, it could take you years to do them all!!

David Stewart

A quieter Provincial park with many beautiful lakes trails and great scenery

J Ko

Great camping experience, clean washrooms and scenic trails. Canoe rental close by.

Jess Gunn

There are a handful of campgrounds within E C Manning, with one of our favourites being Lightning Lake! This has a lot of beautiful sites of all sizes to accommodate all kinds of RVs, lakefront picnic area, walking trails, playground, amphitheater, shower block etc. There is a 2 lane sani dump at the Manning Park Visitor Centre. Hampton is closer to the highway and traffic noise is a bit of a bummer in sites on the road side. But still a range of site sizes and a bunch away from the road. Mule deer is very close to the road with minimal trees between you and the road. These are smaller sites and wouldn't reccomend for bigger or longer units. But a pro is that it is on the river!

David Mitchell

Absolutely stunning. A great place for water sports, hiking or just relaxing.

Ferg Hawke

Awesome hiking trails, spectacular views!!!!

Matthew Pape

Great park near Vancouver with lots of hiking.

Marcus Madsen

Far away from busy city life, this is a great place to be outdoors! Vast forests, great trails, stunning views from the various mountain trails and tops. Campground is clean and well maintained. Spots are spacious, able to accommodate larger trailers and/or multiple tents. Firepits are setup as well. Nearby lake is great for canoeing. Nearby convenience store available in case you run out of some basics. Expect cooler to colder nights than usual and elsewhere , due to its location and higher altitude. So, having the right gear is essential to be able to enjoy your time at Manning Park at all times.

Michael Douglas

Quintessential Canadian landscape. This is one of my most favourite parks. There's no fee (that I recall) to enter the park. You can rent a canoe here and take it easy paddling on beautiful Lightning Lake; or you can just take it easy and have picnic. There's something for everyone here, from serious hikers to family day-trippers. The water was crystal clear and you could see through to the bottom. I went for a swim and it was wonderful, albeit very cold. It's sad that in the middle of August when the weather was fantastic there were almost no other people around. But I suppose with fewer people around, you can have it all to yourself and enjoy it more fully. I just love the ambiance of this park. The nature in the surrounding areas is wonderful. It's a bit of a trip to get there if you're just visiting Vancouver, which might be one reason why there were so few people around when I went; but if you have a car and want to see some stupendous nature without going to crowded tourist spots like Capilano or Grouse Mtn., I highly recommend it. I just never appreciated the quality of this park until I moved away from Vancouver (and then I really missed it).

Andy Lai

Always loved coming to Manning. There are many trails available but quite a few are not accessible due to the weather. Best time to come is in May when all the trails are open. Keep in mind you should be prepared to encounter snow the higher in elevation you go. Starry nights by Lightning lake is a treat, pack some food and just go there and have a good stargazing!

Greek Filipino

This is huge provincial park divided into 5 different campground lightning lake, cold Spring, hampton, mule deer and group site campground. Among them all, the best campground is lightning lake. They have day used area, picnic tables and public washroom. Lighting lake is not that big.

JCEZz

Beautiful landscape, chairlift is old watch out for drop off the hill is steep only got like half a second to get off chairlift, runs are wide and long , perfect for all levels

Nilufar Zahiq

Gorgeous ❤️

Angus Johnston

Awesome park. Three brothers trail is an amazing journey with great views and flowers. Lightning lakes are beautiful and Mt. Frosty is a good challenge with lovely rare Larch trees. Beware the bugs. Worth an adventure.

porsha

my absolute favourite place to visit. drove up to the cascade lookout and alpine meadows! at the lookout, we saw an AMAZING view and some squirrels :) once we drove up to the alpine meadows, we were greeted with an amazing view and some beautiful birds. saw some snow in the summer, definitely an experience that's hard to forget.

George Sranko

Amazing autumn colours in the alpine.

Simply amazing! The sites were clean and sanitized before we arrived. Private and big camp site, Super family friendly, with flush toilets and hot shower. Great playground. Th hole park is super clean, even the out posts were awesome! And to top up they have a great visitor program!

Rafael Miranda

Beautiful park, lots of trails for hiking on summer time.

Travis Ingles

Definitely worth the stop! Super effiecently layed out park, clean bathrooms, beautiful scenery

Ray Wang

We stayed there for 2 nights and it was quite lovely. The trails were a huge variety of trails, so be sure to pick up a map and plan ahead. You can also rent a canoe at Lightning Lake or go stargazing at Cascade Lookout.

Cezary Kowalik

Endless trails and few people to crowd it all. There’s a ski resort and horseback riding. You can rent a room, cabin, car camping, or hike into the wilderness with everything you need on your back. Lots of terrain variety.

Chuck Horne

Definitely take the road to the Cascade viewpoint. The road itself is worth a trip into the park.

Livia Evergreen

The park is great, and I've been to the resort 2 times. Next time I'm going to camp nearby.

Tom Stowe

Going for 45 years. Never failed to be beautiful

Rob Hartzenberg

A favorite local ski hill.

Darren Dyck

An under rated gem of a provincial park just a couple hours from the big city. There are several good campgrounds and a new, large one currently under construction at Lightning Lakes. Great hiking for every ability and both downhill and cross country skiing as well as snowshoeing trails for winter fun. A small, full service restaurant is found in the main building.

Mac Luu Ha

I passed to this park on this May when I moved from Calgary and drove by Highway 3 to Delta, BC. It was a long, scared and lonely drive but I was amazed by how the nature really looked like. I visit it again today and feel that feeling again.

Richard Hamelin

Wild alpine flowers paradise.

Monica Constantin

Something to do for everybody that loves the outdoors.

K Odie

Great spot for families. Lots of hiking trails and backcountry camping opportunities. Frontcountry camping and lodge and restaurant there as well. Canoe rentals available at the lighting lake day use area. Dog swimming area at day use beach as well. Beautiful scenery . Some cell service at the lodge.

Danielle Valcourt

This place is amazing. I very much recommend camping here! Just bring your bear spray and be safe!

Bernard Sheppard

Wilderness park with easily accessible views and stars like you won't believe.

TONY Tessier

As always a great place

Jana Dvorakova

Mount Kelly. Snowing today, lot of windfall.

Gary Walters196

World class park . Must see on your bucket list!!!

None Ofyourbusiness

Great place to spend a weekend. Reasonable prices and lots of trails to keep you occupied. Canoeing is always a favourite! The restaurant has some pretty good food (just stay away from the dinner menu...really overpriced for what you get) No cell service and the wifi is spotty at best but the whole point is to unplug and get outside!

Fred Uwazny

A wonderful enchanted place. Beautiful scenes.

Michael Rithaler

Beautiful park, lots of wildlife. Hiking, skiing, camping, hotel, restaurant, general store, boat rentals, picnic areas. There is alot to do there

Jake Charles

Beautiful park. Some trails are dog friendly. Great for beautiful views and hikes of different difficulties. The camp site are great and close to water. Check the website for camp site closures.

Ian McCracken

Beautiful place to visit or camp. Very spotty cel sevice in case of breadown.

Chris Wright

One of my favorite places to visit. Beautiful lakes and trails set in some of the most spectacular scenery. Absolutely love Manning Park.

James Brouse

If you have never been to manning park, your soul can get lost in the vast beauty of the landscape. Up the road 15 min, is East gate. Spectacular off road area, lots of camping. 1 of my favorite spots to camp.

Keith! Morden

There's no describing the possibility here at Manning park. I've been out hiking there in the summer and see miles of beautiful country and spent many nights sleeping under the stars here. There's no shortage of places to go, and each hike takes you somewhere in the park that will take your breath away. Just pack smart and be prepared During the winter the ski resort is another worth while thing to see. Lift tickets and equipment rentals are fairly priced, and they also offer toboggan, and snowshoe rentals. Walking the trails in the snow offer another excellent outdoorsy way to visit the park. The resort is amazing as well, and they offer good food and have a pool with two hot tubs. Nothing feels much better then a day of winter activities then sitting around in a hot tub with friends

Bonnie Armstrong

Trails are beautiful for hiking in summer, snowshoeing in winter.

Jagdeep Kaler

We camped at lightning lake for a night and this is a wonderful park. The campground is well kept, it's quiet and fairly large. The lake is small but clear and still. There is a boathouse to rent kayaks from and it's definitely worth doing!

Alex North

Behind the lodge a few km up the road you hit the lightning lakes day use park. It's beautiful and a good amount of people using it but not to many though. The trails around the area are maintained well and fun to hike. Frosty trail is a great workout if you are carrying gear.
