Improvements to Victoria Park and the George Street streetscape are the first project to be implemented as part of the Downtown Streetscape Design Plan. Joseph Brant Memorial in Victoria Park Plans to improve the park and surrounding street were developed with a goal of creating a more accessible and pedestrian-friendly environment within the context of the Victoria Square Heritage Conservation District. The park includes several significant features including the Joseph Brant Memorial located in the centre of the park (1886), the elaborate drinking fountain located on the west edge of the square (1892) and the unique layout of the park’s pathways in configuration of the Union Jack as originally designed in 1861 by the British-born architect John Turner.r.

GREAT for Pokémon GO players, unfortunately not the greatest people hang out in the middle. Positive to that is there are security guards that patrol the area so no need to worry you can still injoy the area.

Great little park situated in the downtown core. Very clean and well maintained. A lot of trees (lots of shade!) and although it does not have play structures toddlers will love to run around here. Great place to sit down and relax. Good place to have a picnic but only with a small group. Quiet enough to do yoga or meditate especially in the morning. Two minutes away from City Hall and various eateries.

The Local Explorer

Nice little park with lots of shade and some benches to rest on and watch squirrels or have a snack. Downside- it's surrounded by roads and next to bus terminal so plenty of traffic noise. Also best to visit during day time only, its located in downtown area so at night it's less pleasant. If you're wanting more quiet relaxing time in a park, this one may not be it

Click like please if you like my review thanks During the day this place is not safe for most people to go unless you're in a group of Pokemon players this is been this is the spot for stick together during the day at night it's pretty much nobody is around. If your a poke player This has one of the most towers and poke stops avable in Brantford and if you dont all ready know this if there is almost no poke stops and towers grouped in one place in town. If there is a special poke event or raid start here thats where you have the best of luck poke playing and catching shinnys. it's more you don't have to be so concerned so much as much as you do during the day or people smoke drugs are as sluming around during the day and most interestingly it's safer there at night it's usually clean and neat and tidy and the animals make it a nice place to be anyways

In the summer there is a hot dog cart so you can grab a bite to eat and sit on the many benches. Also lots of different restaurants or food places in the area that you can grab food from and sit in the park to eat if hot dogs are not your thing. Lots of banks near by and the university. I have not taken part in any of this but I know there is some sorta mobile gaming happening like pokemon go and others. Lots of shade.

5 star rating is solely based on its Pokemon Go amenities. 3 gyms plus 5 or 6 Pokestops all in the square. May have to deal with local riff raff and/or college students if its during school year.

Brantford... Wow what a town. Birth place of Bell and first documented place where Six nations and Europeans co existed.... Victoria park is one of those places. Surrounded by a court house, city wall 4 different chirches. Makes you realise how little we know about that city... On one of the edges of the park you can find a fountain. If you are visiting the city it a must see place

It is located in the heart of downtown which isn't actually a good thing. Not a lot goes on here except a lot of Pokémon raids or whatever they are, and in the summer the have live music in the park.
