You will see the reviews of real people who are buying the services of Earl Haig Family Fun Park (Park) in Brantford (Canada).
At the moment the firm gets a score of 4.1 over 5 and the rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings that it reaches is very good, and it's based on a large number of feddbacks, so we may be pretty sure that the rating is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to give their score when they are pleased with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to set scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Park is classified in the category of Amusement park.
Great value kids are 10 and 7 . They had a blast
A little unorganized and the staff is all over the place. Great place for the kids and water loving adults... C+
Fun place to bring younger children. I only took away 1 star because the mini golf course is in some serious need to help/maintenance and for the lack of tubes. We got there just after opening and all the tubes were taken.
Fun for all ages. Splash pad is great for kids 4 years and under.
Friendly staff, fun for the whole family, clean and tidy picnic areas, they could use an update on the turf on the mini putt course but everything else is A+++
Fun place to spend the day with younger family members. Clean and safe
It's okay. The water is freezing, though. I recommend going on a VERY warm day so that you're not absolutely freezing.
Fun for the entire fam
Loved it here and so did my kids. Prices are extremely reasonable. Park is smallish so it is not overwhelming like some places can be. Perfect for younger kids.
It is a good place spend a day with the kids. It is nice to go around in the lazy river, or sit in the pool. You can bring your own picnic in, or order from the menu that is there. Unfortunately the park is showing its age. The mini put is in shambles and has not been taken care of in quite some time. You may want to bring your own tube as most times there are not many tube in the river. The park could use a face lift and reinvest into itself. A few more water slides could maybe bring some more appeal and excitment once again to this park.
It was amazing place for kids to enjoy, specially the slide, & lazy lake. My kids enjoyed a lot. Thanks guys.
Nice place. Good family fun. Staff could be a little nicer
Been here last year a few times. Fair at best. Went today, poor at best. Water was cloudy, chunks of hair floating in the small pool. Lazy river was cloudy, dirty. So many people wearing street clothes in the pool. Will not go back again.
Earl Haig Park is a nice day's outing. My family and I spent the day here, played mini-golf, and just floated down the lazy river a bunch of times. We found a shady spot and ate our picnic lunch. It was all just a relaxing day. There are no big rides, no crowds, a small cantina to buy a bit of food at, if you like and not a lot of things for the kids to bug you for money for. I don't remember what we spent for the day but I remember it was very reasonable.
Used to be good then has gone down hill. Not as clean and barely open in summers now
Very minimal activities at the moment which is unfortunate but the price wasn't bad for the summer of 2021. The pool isn't heated- learned the hard way- and the inner tubes are too big for toddlers to hold on. But there is a park and splash pad which my toddler enjoyed. The lazy River was also nice.
There are 72 raised free garden beds by equal grounds community garden on Facebook.
First time, was an awesome experience. Definitely will be back. The ability to bring in our own food was perfect, and they do have a snacks bar, slushies and nachos etc..
Good little waterslide and lazy river, functional minigolf, low cost... But it's starting to get too old, and there isn't much for older kids. No vegetarian option at the grill either. But yeah, definitely recommend it if you're in Brantford with young children.
Great place to cool off on a hot day. Reasonable prices for everything. The lazy river is unique, and awesome!
The kids and I loved this place. A park/splash pad/pool AND lazy river?! It was clean and well kept, lots of life guards.
not all it's touted to be. not a full waterpark. more like an expensive outdoor unheated pool with a lazy river in addition. good for young kids with families looking for a local picnic spot. not good for children over 10. no deep end. very run down and ugly. trees and flowers wouldn't go remiss. mini golf needs repair. very crowded to capacity with summer camps during the weekdays.
Really enjoyable experience for the kids
Wow! So much fun for the kids! Staff were efficient and observant, drinks and snacks onsite for purchase. We spent 3 hours there and could've easily spent another 3. The pitching machines didn't work properly and I was compensated. Prices are very reasonable. Will be visiting again.
Great place. Gotten a bit pricey and miss the go karts. Get locks on your lockers or stuff will get stolen. Even clothes. Beyond that it's a great place to go for the day. Lazy river is always packed. There's a pool and splash pad. Mini golf and batting cages for extra cost
fun place for the family or friends, the location is bigger then you'd expect,
love this place! It has a lot of fun great stuff, the lazy river is pretty big and probably one of my favourites. I think i remember getting stuck on the water slide a little bit, but i just had to give myself a bit of a push and i went down! went on school field trips here when i was younger as well and had such a fun time! great place for family!
I love coming here in the summer!! Smaller park, but great for families. The lazy river is the best. :)
Great place for family and very affordable???? They have a lazy river and pool with a slide. They have batting cages and mini golf. You can bring a picnic or buy food at the concession stand. Really great place to take the kid????
Things are scaled way back due to covid. Only the main pool, waterside, lazy river and splash pad area are available for use. 75min slots can be booked using the City of Brantford Parks and Recreations web portal. $4.50 for adults $3.98 for the kiddos. Hard to complain about the limited use at $4 price point.
The staff was great, clean park and pricing is reasonable. My family had a blast!
Best to come after 3 during the week so the summer camp can clear out. The pool is less than a metre deep so kids 3 plus can touch the bottom and it's fairly warm. Bit of a wait to get a tube for the lazy river, and it was pretty merky which isn't ideal. The one water slide can be used by kids 6+ who pass the swim test. Lots of shady places to sit and for only $30 for the whole family it's pretty reasonable.
Pretty good in terms of places to go with the family for something affordable and fun. Prices for admission are great. They have a lazy river and a small wave pool , as well as snack bar. Pretty basic water park but the perfect place to go hang out with the family on a hot day
Had a great time. The grounds were accessible for mobility devices. Nice clean pool and the lazy river was super relaxing. Inner tubes are complimentary. Good music, mini golf and waterside...lots of fun. Bring a blanket. They have snacks and drinks.
For me, the water was way too cold to enjoy. But lots of others didn't seem to mind. Great little spot with lots of lifeguard supervision.
This is a good place to visit if you have kids 0-7 yrs old. The Lazy river and water slide are suitable for them. Parents can enjoy a walk in the river which is basically an man made waterpool. But the water height is very low due to safety reason as this Lazy river is meant for kids mainly.
Awesome place to take the kids
Not bad for a small park. Washrooms need to be a bit more cleaner. But other than that we had a good experience. Mini putt was fun too
One of the best hidden gems around. It's worth the drive to Brantford. Only $29 total for a family of 5. Awesome lazy rivers, lots of shade for a picnic, you can bring your own food. Perfect pool for kids and great little slide. Ideal for kids 4 to 12 yrs.
The lazy river was the only thing that my family and I enjoyed. The concession stand was another story. They were out of numerous items and they tried to short change me but they didn't. But will continue to go there and will bring our own food with us next time.
Earl Haig is a swimming pool open to the public. Great place to take your kids of ya have any. Great prices and better yet? They have the go-carts rite beside the place...
Kids love it. A length pool for adults would be nice. A better system so people don't steal your lazy river tubes would be nice too. Excellent value, however, and would keep the whole family entertained from open to close.
It was pretty fun. needs new stuff. Some bigger waterslides would be good, the mini put was boring (needs props) and the change rooms were disgusting. Other than that it was fairly good.
Just right for the kids. They've got a pool and lazy river and a mini putt and batting cage. Lots of locals come to this place. A bit of a commute from other places.
It was a lot of fun, but the main pool was freezing. It only opened a few weeks ago for the season, so that is at least understandable. Otherwise, fun for my 5 year old. Downside, 10 dollar deposit for a life jacket and you get $5 back.. You shouldn't be charged to rent one, they should be available.
Great family park... Well worth the small price of admission. A real diamond in the rough
Great family get away. Great price. Not alot of things to do there tho.
So much fun for families, nostalgic for mine highly missing the old days w the food stand and tons of ppl everywhere hanging out all day swimming. Everyone but the headlife guards family has to book a 75 minute time slot. If you pop in to ask a question or clarify how to book the staff seem annoyed and not eager to help really.
Earl haig is awesome. My kids love it, very kid friendly type of place, affordable. Your aloud to bring your own food. Always a nice clean environment. Lots of staff always watching the water.
Pretty cool facility. The staff can use a little better training, but a good experience over all. Great value also.
This is a great park for a family with kids younger than mid teen, the lazy river is my personal favourite, my kids loved the water slide, and the pool is nice but not deep. There's also a large splash pad and a playground surounded by sand. We sat under a tree for shade, which there is plenty of in the right places. If you prefer there are picnic tables around. While out of the water you can have fun on an 18 hole mini-putt course that honestly could use some repair but is still fun. There are batting cages as well. Concessions are well priced and tasty. All in all everyone had a great day.
There is no control over the groups in the water. To much rough housing from the groups which exposes smaller children injury or not enjoying the water. Lots of group staff around but they let the children behave badly. If you go, expect to be pushed, shoved and children rough housing in the water to jump on your water tube as well as push you out of the way. On the land, the same poor behaviour. No adults on the staff, just young people who are very nice but not effective. Room for much improvement.
Not disabled friendly at all! How about an electric scooter, or two, or even some benches in key areas to take a break on that long walk from various picnic areas to the bathroom! I do give them credit for the ramp leading into the pool!
Love taking my client (who has autism) because it's usually fairly quiet, not over crowded, makes for a fun day. A family change room would be great as I do get looks from some people for taking him in the woman's change room.
Went in to use the batting cages and they weren't working properly. The balls would not come out of the machine and we had to go back up to the front desk to get a staff member to come out and fix it. The redeeming factor was the fact that she gave me a new token to start the machine again so I didn't miss out on what I paid for. The rest of the place looked pretty good. There wasn't any overcrowding as far as I could tell and it looked like a lot of fun for the kiddos and nice and refreshing for a hot day! It's a shame that they don't have go-carts any more.. I would have loved to go out for a spin on those! When I was leaving, I waited for like 5 minutes for the girls at the front desk to pay any attention to me and they didn't, so I just put the bat and helmut on the counter and walked away. I feel like I could have just walked out with them and they wouldn't have even noticed, but I'm not the type of person who would do that.
Great prices, not busy. Lots of fun! Pool, slides, lazy river, Splash pad, park. Pavilion and picnic tables available. Batting cages and mini golf closed currently.
I learned to swim at Earl Haig in 1957. It was a great double pool, and a big thrill to move from the learning pool to the deep pool, and very scary when I dropped to the bottom over my head. My brother was there to grab me when I came up, thanks! it is still a great place! Darryl Palmer,Toronto
Great fun, we went in the late afternoon, so it was quieter so quite enjoyable. The mini golf needs a serious update, and the washroom and change rooms were filthy. Still had a great time...
I visited to with my 2 kids while we were there there was a camp going on earl grey camp NEVER sign your kids up for this camp it is sickening...first as I'm sitting there I watch the camp leader line all the kids up against the fence with there back facing the leader then the leaders start throwing water in balloons at the backs 2 young boys starting crying because it hurt...I was degusted!!! Then I about an hour later and bunch of kids came back to the picnic area and were unsupervised for about 1 hours and were just running like crazy kids throwing water and grass everywhere...Fighting swearing....etc...no leaders to been seen.....just awful!!! Totally not the kids fault they should be supervised at all times considering it a water park and anything can happen.....other then that my experience was good ...I would just NEVER send my kids to this camp!!!!!!!!
Love it great place for all ages especially the kids extremely clean not just a pool but the mini golf putting was great fun with my grand daughter
Great place for families that want to beat the crowds. Lazy river, pool slide and mini putt great way to start the long weekend
I checked the website yesterday we looked at pictures with the kids and they were so excited.we checked opening time it said 12pm to 6 pm perfect.I even called the number got a recording directing me to the website and telling me to leave a message to book a party or stuff .So we pack the 5 years old and we drive from kitchener for a full fun day.We got there and guess what the place is closed drained no one there except people like me .If u look right now it says its open right now closing at 6?????how hard is it to record a message or update the website .Terrible Brantford you are a city for crying out loud
Great little fun water park cheap clean and the staff are all very friendly first time visitor and will recommend it and be back thanks for a great day ! Happy summer????
Family Fun an lots of entertaining things to do.... such as water slide, mini Putt, batting range and Soooo Much more!....???? and you can have picnics or party get togethers As you may see I had a Lots of fun????
Great for kids and families. Kids can explore freely and parents can relax knowing their are multiple lifeguards on duty.
Fun for everyone .. Even wheel chair access into the pool. Great prices
Best summertime secret in Brantford as far as I'm concerned. Local treat for the kids. Reasonably priced. Free parking. Cheap batting cages and mini golf. Relaxing lazy river. Large pools with water slide. Bathrooms need more frequent attention, and it would be been nice to have a hot tub available. NOTE Water was too cool (even though it was still summer - end of August) so they need to install some kind of heat system. Other than that, a nice way to spend an afternoon.
Getting a little outdated but still a fun spot for the kids. The lazy river is relaxing. Adequately staffed and completely fenced in area...you will feel comfortable with your kids running around here.
Good place for younger single digit kids as it is a smaller facility and not to overwhelming... but needs more waterslides and a large hot tub for the adults.
Great staff. Wonderful experience!
Decently priced. The only thing I didn't like about it is that a few of the lifeguards let the rules slide and didn't give the kids trouble for running and jumping in! (Which we we're told wasn't allowed) Also wish there was a deep end, or a deeper pool!
We took our kids and our cousins joined us....everyone had a GREAT time. The pool was well maintained, the lazy river was Great! We rented a tube, and relaxed while the kids swam with us. We are already planning on returning a couple more times before this summer ends. We packed a lunch and some drinks....it was a successful day!!! ????????????
A great place for kids and as well very clean. Thankyou
Perfect for young families. Lots of day camps during week but excellent family entertainment. My 3 year old loved it.
A Family favourite
We had a good time for a couple of hours, but this water park has not changed in 20-25 years, which is a shame!! The only new equipment is the water slide!! It needs major updating to bring it up to date!! They don't even have enough tubes for the lazy river. It opened at 11 and the tubes were gone by 1145. They have only a few chairs to sit on, which before the park was full of chairs!!
Awesome little water park cant beat it for the price.
Went here today for the first time, and it was a hit with my whole family! We did the pool and lazy river. The water in both was cold, but no colder than an average public pool, and it was nice and clear. The lifeguards were friendly and proactive, and I noticed chlorine checks being done. The lazy river was a dream! I think there’s definitely a good deal of upkeep needed throughout the entire place... especially in some areas like the change rooms and main sign. However, younger kids don’t really notice things like this and thought it was pretty magical.
Good for kids under 13. Over get bored quickly. Reasonably priced.
Besides slide which most of my grad kids could not go on due to height restrictions there is not a lot to do. Pool has no deep end , you can only do lazy river so many times. Need to reopen batting cages, & mini putt to give better experience.
This water park is not aging well. The new waterslide is a plus but otherwise nothing seems to have changed in the last 20 years. This has the potential to be a fantastic little spot on Brantford but it's not being well utilized. Kids had a blast and the food is super affordable.
Mini golf is in really rough shape. But a day pass is cheap and the food is reasonable. The lazy river is the best part providing you get a tube.
Nice park - kids enjoyed it. The lazy river was pretty dirty - lots of leaves and such floating around in it - and you had to paddle or you didnt really go anywhere... The park was pretty busy until around 2pm when the schools had to leave and then it was dead quiet.
Putter golf course needs serious refurbishing. All else was good.
Good place to bring the kids on a hot day. Remember to bring your own floaty because they have limited supplies. Not bad prices and overall a good day
Great little gem in the city centre for family fun.
Perfect size for an afternoon with the kids, not crowded.
Wish they had everything open but was still fun for the smaller kids 4+6 year old
Great place to take the family, we always have my daughters birthday here every year and she loves it, all my kids do. But the adults enjoy it just as much.
It's ok for what it is and I'm sure the locals are happy to have it. We went for a 1/2 day trip here on the weekend to check out some alternative destinations in our area. Pro's you can bring your own food for a picnic, they have a BBQ area for rent if you bring grille items. The wait in line was excessively long for admission even with 4 staff members working (disjointed process move here to go there feeling, not very efficient) They have a few tubes free of charge for lazy river (not enough) and they didn't have an ample supply of rentable tubes so you can have your own (our preference). The current was fast enough that you can sort of bob in the water and continuously push off to get the experience. Eventually a friendly person gave one of the free tubes to my daughter, so we all held on to get the relaxing experience. While facility is old and you can feel it, it is well maintained (ie no sharp edges, crumbling rocks or anything to hurt yourself on) and sufficiently staffed for safety. I can't comment on the mini put in the middle of the grounds as we did not partake. For the price of admission I don't feel you get the full value for your dollar. Their concessions are very reasonably priced, I can't comment to quality as we brought a healthy summer veg, dip, fruit, cheese, cracker spread to enjoy. I was tempted by the hockey arena style nachos and cheese though (it's been years since I had that) All in all it's good for a day distraction but won't make for lasting memories IMO
It's the ok-est thing to do lol. It's dirt cheap in comparison to anything else to do in brantford and beyond. You aren't going to find anything a family (2 adults and up to 4 children) can do for this cheap. You get what you pay for so for the price it's good. If you are a parent going alone with more then 1 child keep in mind children under 6 need to be in arms reach of an adult and so do children 6-10 who can't pass a swim test. It gets complicated if you have more then 1 child under 6 or who can't pass the swim test. They even need to be in arms reach of you in the lazy river and no they can't just wear lifejackets.
Washrooms could use more attention. Crazy amount of day campers so choose wisely when to go. Otherwise rates are great. Love going here.
So with Covid rules you have to book limited time slots. First the water is so filled with sticks, leaves and bugs you are constantly pushing it away from you. It’s gross. The rule of 8 and older can only do the swim test is bs. I paid good money for my kids to learn to swim and then take them to a fun swim park and they aren’t allowed to leave my arms. And to top it all off there was one life guard who made it her mission to make our limited 75 mins uncomfortable. Every single time we passed her she YELLED whatever it was she wanted to say to us in a nasty voice. We left after 35 mins because the kids were upset she kept yelling. Honestly it’s run down and a waste of time and money. If I wasn’t so annoyed I would have asked for a refund. Also maybe they should state their rules on their website to maybe not waste other families time.
Awesome!
I've only ever tried out the mini golf here, but this past Saturday I visited with my parents and my young niece. We went in the lazy river, the pool area, and the water park. Two things impressed me the most. One: How clean the park was. Two: How vigilant the lifeguards were. There were about 3-4 minor incidents in the time we were there, but in all cases the lifeguards acted swiftly with positive outcomes in all instances.
Been here before for a birthday party .. came back 5 years later with my son .. things were going well .. playing in the pool.. I lifted him up to the edge and with a tiny little bump the wall took a chunk of his knee .. after informing staff .. they simply said well get a bandaid .. didn't ask where it happened or anything .. handed me a bandaid with still no concern .. I could feel sharp stops on the bottom while walking around... not coming back here again .. I will drive further to a better one that isn't run my summer students who don't care....
Amazing food! Fun memories!
Great setup. Staff is friendly. Lifeguards are very attentive, friendly but strict. Feel safe when you're there. Only thing is the changerooms could be cleaned. Spraying air freshener doesn't count as cleaning.
A great place
