Love to go walk at the Summit. There is the most beautiful homes to look at and lots of dogs ????

Zach_ RH

Amazing forest full of dogs. My pup loved his time in the woods with all his friends.

Antonio Neves

Very nice place for a walk, It's a little forest, you can really feel peace walking through the woods.

Olivier Desjardins

It's smaller than I was expecting and there's a lot of people. Still nice to have wood in the city.

Damaris Rose

We were looking for a spot to watch winter solstice sunset. Pretty good even though the view is not expansive due to trees and very big houses.

toupettt “TOUPET”

prime spot for a small walk in a wooden area downtown montreal !!!

Kev Liu

I would avoid the weekends since it does get busy here. Many individuals bring their dogs off leash - most of the dogs seem very friendly and get along....I have seen one issue before where a couple of dogs got into an aggressive fight so please be aware if you intend to bring your dog here.

Lyse Ouellette

Beautiful woods and trails to walk your dog off leash. Everyone is so friendly and happy including dogs. Only problem is lack of parking space.

Marcus Pence

Very nice trip to the summit.

Jovanne Millanes

A good place to hike, but for now the viewing deck is still closed

Christopher Lambert

Amazing place for the doggos off leash!

MONIQUE ROY

I went on a chilly day, no snow but the ground was frozen so it was easy to walk and for the doggo to run around. Great little off-leash spot! Can't wait to check it out in the summer.

charif haidar

Great lookout, easy access, free but limited parking structures

Dogs everywhere. Practically a dog run. Half of them are not on a leash. A dog person's heaven, a cat person's worst nightmare. Otherwise a decent neighborhood park.

Emilie Noel

What a beautiful hidden gem! Lots of people though but definitely worth a visit. We went in autumn and the leaves were magnificent! Dog friendly and lots of short walking trails.

Jeremy Ezerzer

Love this place. Great place to walk any season. Great place to bring all yoir dogs and it’s clean (people pick after their animals) and it’s quiet and peaceful and even when there are more people walking and enjoying the trees and calmness the forest has, it’s still a great and peaceful place. Our dog Riley loves to go and meet and play with other doggies and get back in nature since we all live in the city and this is a Greta space to reconnect. Winter is loads of fun and summer has all the lush greenery and birds chirping you can ask for. Definitely a Great place to walk or bring your dogs or kids.

Lokesh Deepu

One of the best places in Montreal to spend peaceful time and fun time with friends aswell.

Jeremy

It was like heaven here. So many doggos of all shapes and size coming up to me.

Andres Salazar

We love taking the kids for a walk at Summit Woods. It feels like we're somewhere far from the city while being right in the middle of the city. It is a dog friendly park and dogs roam around off leash, so make sure your dog is friendly to other dogs before bringing him here.

Marc Rocheleau

My favourite place to walk

Simon B

Hidden gem! Go see gor your self ????

R.

It's a nice place to walk after trudging up the twists and turns to the top of the hill. Many rich folk live nearby and it's fun to gawk at their luxurious abodes. The roads are still uniquely terrible as you would expect from Montreal. I would walk there again for sure.

Mathew Fernandez

Great place to look over the city.

Luis Jorge Medina Villegas

Amazing place where you leave your dog with no leaag before 10 am

MANDEEP KAUR

Very calm and beautiful place . If you are a person who love nature then you should go and see the beauty of nature.

Paul Figueroa

Peaceful safe and a good walking workout

Charli Zwicker

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS. People bring very aggressive and dangerous dogs to walk off leash and have absolutely no control/recall over their dogs. If you want to risk your dogs safety, take them. If not, stay far away.

Steven Troll

Great place to bring Chewy for a roam around in the winter. Love it!!

Ian Rogers

Can be crowded especially on the weekend, lots of (illegally) off-leash dogs - but peaceful most weekdays. Great views, well kept trails, lots of birds and interesting plant life - and the actual highest point in Montreal. Not on any bus route but a nice area to walk in and easy to drive to. Very limited parking.

Rad Dyner

Four words: Nature in the city! Every time I'm there I can't help but fall in love with the place for what feels like a first time.

Mike Discenza

It's a great place to walk. It's THE place to walk your dog. Possibly one of the happiest places on earth when your dog can spend time with other dogs and often, the pooches out number the two legged companions. Quiet, clean, safe, and when you are there at off peak times, you feel one with nature.

Rémi Larose-de Billy

Quite simply the best place to walk dogs off-leash in Montreal.

Darya Simonova

Unfortunately, that’s the only place in CDN area where you can walk you dog off leash. The park is great especially in winter time when you can let the dogs run around all day long! 1-2 rounds is more than enough for a good start of the day for you and your dog!

Desmond Yu

All dogs go to Summit Woods, if dogs can have their dream come true. Summit woods is at the center of residence of WestMount and Montreal, on the hill. As soon as I walked into the wood from Summit Ave, I came into contact with dogs and dogs, so many of them. Is Montreal a cosmopolitan of dogs? Seem like it, there are so many different breeds I never saw before. They are beautiful and well trained. It worth the trip just to go and meet dogs. It is unfortunate that the lookout overlooking St Laurent River is closed because of structure issue. I am not able to enjoy a full view of the city below. I enjoyed the walk in the wood so much and it made you totally forget about the city.

Arshath A Rahim

This place is a nice walk in woods in the middle of city. The place has really good lookout of the city. the walk paths nice and peaceful. This place is near one of porsche area of Montreal with really nice houses.

MAVIC 514

Feels good to be in the wood in this stupid city ????

Marie-Pier Comeau

Summit Wood is a wonderful place to resource in Montreal, with about 20 hectares of urban forest it is a great place for a walk. The great thing is you can start at the summit lookout, which is a great viewpoint of the city (you can also see downtown) then after walking through the woods you can end your visit at l’Oratoire Saint-Joseph.

Laurence Perle Barchichat

Small but full of wonder and excellent friendly people. Wonderful place to bring your dogs off leash. Great education posters. Paths are very slippery when wet.

Edriche Gauthier

This place looks so nice!

Zach Forget

Hidden gem of a park at the top of the hill. Beautiful, serene, and quiet. Lots of people walking dogs.

Alex D'Amico

Hidden gem on the island of Montreal. Great place to walk with family or friends. Especially if you have a dog. Beautiful lookout point also. Enjoy!

DAO

This place absolutely beautiful, quiet, big and beautiful trees, wonderful mystic experience, great place for a movie and I love walking the summit woods forever. ❤❤❤

Vinh Nguyen

Beautiful, covered with big trees. Nice, clear trails. Easy to walk and enjoy. Not a lot of obstacles. No need to even look down while walking.

Sarah N.

Ever want to walk through a forest but you live in a metropolitan city and have no car? Have I got news for you..

Arantxa Santos

Very nice little woods for a little escape from the city without going far. Small parking space for about 6 cars, though different access points from all over. Easy trails, can't really get lost. Typically spend about an hour, 2 max. To my knowledge they're are no picnic tables, which I prefer to avoid human trash and animals getting fed that way, we have enough of that in all the municipal parks. During my visits I've seen less squirrels than I have around our house. But I did bring along lunch once and we sat on a log and ate just fine (with kids 2, 3, and 5 years old). It has a lookout point which is temporarily closed (I think due to covid 19). No known water fountains either. Oh and beware of poison ivy!

Rachel Green

high, high up in the heart and height of westmount, is this jewel of a park. this is the time to see the Trillium that are all in bloom in the dappled woods.

Jeremy Chandler

Best before 10 am

Ved O

Nice wooded area. Good trails to walk n run n bring the dog.

Thierry Outmezguine

Nice place to go for a walk and get a little taste of nature. There's people walking with their dogs and many are friendly to interact! Nice place!

jacqueline roye

It's just a lively walk where you can forget the city
