I like this park, it's one of my go to places. Nice scenery, nice sounds and access to many more places via the trails. If you walk towards downtown in the summer you may see gar pike jumping for insects, in the winter the view is pretty and there's always the dam waterfall ;) it's got a few pokestops as well so appeal all around.

They need to cull the geese in the area. There are too many defecating all over the sidewalks and grass. You can't take 3 steps without almost stepping in it. That being said they do TRY to wash off the pavement at least once a week and the garden is very pretty. Also if you are a Pokemon GO player as you may or may not be aware there are 4 Pokestops and 1 gym in the area.

Nice little park and garden by the Moira River. There are benches to sit on and its situated along the riverfront trail, so you can rest on your walk. Also the area normally provides good salmon fishing in the fall as its near the dam. Fishing near this area during the summer months offers Gar, Redfin Suckers, plenty of shiners, crappies, and sunfish. Depending on water levels bass are also an option providing both largemouth and smallmouth bass, and the odd walleye hiding in the deeper holes. As well there are channel cat occasionally, and eels in the spillway under the dam. For those not interested in fishing, the park offers a pretty display of flowers in its gardens which are worth looking at

This is a great place to spend lunch or to rest during a walk. The gardens are well kept and the view of the river is beautiful. There's a bird stand for large birds of prey and two ponds so the wildlife is all around.
