One of the best dog parks I've ever been. Winding trails that are fully fenced in. Can be muddy/wet at times so be prepared but overall amazing trails

Horrible horrible place to take your dog to socialize with other dogs. The actual leash free is 1 km from the parking lot and down a hill so forget getting to it in the winter. The park near the parking lot is leashed only and people with unsocialized dogs go here since they have no idea of dog behaviour. Back to the horrible leash free zone, there is no open area for dogs to run and play only bushes for getting g scratches and nicks followed by aburpt drop offs on the path that is litter with dog droppings. AVOID THIS PARK UNLESS YOU ARE A OWNER WHO LIKES TO KEEP THEIR PET ON A LEASH AND CRINGES WHEN OTHER DOGS COME NEAR .

Not a lot of parking and it is a STEEP walk to the off leash area. The park itself is very dense forest with paths worn by users so dogs with no strong recall can get out of sight and lost - I'd like to think this is why there is a lot of unscooped poop. It is a hike and there are steep and muddy/sandy areas, no map of trails/paths. I found that people did not leash their dogs on the path from the park to lot so caution to those with leash reactivity. Great park once in but no flat, open grass areas. Sign up says it will be closed Sept-April 2019 to allow nature to recover. Try the Sunnidale Arboretum park if you want paved, leisurely on leash walk in a maintained park. Great park but not for everyone (strollers, mobility challenged)

2 stars only! NOT suitable for older people with a husky! Too many hills, bush and gravel. My husky ran off and took me over 2 hours to retrieve. Hence 2 stars...

Not a bad park, just a fairly short trail. You have to do the loop many times for a good amount of exercise. It also isn't very busy. The dog park on the South end of Barrie is much better.

Really good dog park. A lot of trails you can explore with your dog. My dog enjoyed it overall. The other dogs were well mannered and friendly. We didn't experience any aggression.

Love this dog park and so does my pup. In the winter months it can be really icy, so it'd be nice if someone would go around with dog safe ice melt, but I digress. There's lots of different paths you can take and mostly the people are super friendly

Great place to take your dog. Clean and a little run area for them. 2 section's. But do the right thing and clean up after your dog. As well if you dog doesn't like other dogs then don't bring them it's not fair to other people their dogs or yours. It's important to be aware of you pets limits.

Absolutely fabulous dog park. Nice forest and path layout, like a secret gem in North Barrie. Ou Saluki loved running through the trails and forest. Good gates and fences.

Love this park! The off leash area is a great trail for the dogs to explore and run. Lots of hills and rough terrain if you're looking for a little exercise!

My fav! Visit everyday! Just wish they'd build a bridge over the drainage stream we have to jump over! Very dangerous during heavy rains. Also the fence is made of barbed wire which is an issue. Otherwise we love it here!

Amazing off leash dog park! The park is wooded and has a hiking trail throughout. You can walk with your dog as they explore and play. The path is very hilly so where running shoes/boots.

Awesome very large FENCED off-leash forest TRAIL for dogs. Recently overhauled sometime 2019-2020. Quickest access via the community garden parking lot (across the Bowlerama). [see picture] there is a mulch pathway to the left of the community garden, follow the path about 5 minutes (a bit of downhill, small bridge, look for double gated entrance along the fenced area). Inside the off-leash area, there is an easy-walking loop trail along the fence, and deep forested branching trails throughout the middle. Seating and picnic benches throughout. Bring water and poop bags, bug spray, closed-toe footwear recommended. Bark-bark park!
