Not a bad place to hike and get away from the city for a few hours. Cross country skiing in the winter seems pretty cool also. I don't think the park is as good as it used to be back in the day, but. Worth checking it out

Cara R-N

Beautiful day use park in Clearview. I'll return to explore trails further and likely in winter for snow-shoe.

Nice set of hiking trails here. Parking fee for 2 hours was $3, pay at the machine up at the entrance gate. I was pretty much the only one around during a weekday. I did the red trail which was easy at 5 km. Some parts were very muddy and tough to cross but overall not terribly bad.

Great trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Everything was very well-marked. Only $3 for a 2-hour parking pass, which was all we needed.

Nice and quiet. Easy trails. Maintenance during covid is down a bit. So if you have troubles. Wait till next year!

Lots of Mud. No scenery. At least 50% of the red trail which is the longest trail, passes along side the road and you can hear the cars clearly.

One of my favourite places to go for a walk. Always quiet, lots of space. Closes early though and apparently they lock the gate, otherwise I would drive in and pay for parking to support rather than park outside the gate and pay nothing like everyone does in the evenings.

Christian Gallacher

Very Easy and kid's friendly trails, nice day trip to get away from city for just an hour drive. There are benches along the trail for people to take rest if they need to. Washroom is closed during this time and remember to bring you mosquito repellent spray.

Big beautiful park with pavilions. Very clean facility with a lot of parking. Nice location to take kids or have a family picnic/bbq. Lots of trails to walk/bike. I’ve heard it has a nice playground too for children (but I did t look for it).

This facility requires paid parking year round. The trails are maintained in a general manner. Washroom facilities are not open all year. It was once a penned animal sanctuary, but now has no caged areas. Wildlife is still present, but in the way that a forest has life, rather than a zoo's method. Large picnic areas are present. There are barbecues onsite for use, as well as covered pavilions to dine within. There is also a small playground. If you bring a dog, it must be leashed.

Paolo Papais

Great Staff , lots of history and knowledge here . Please be respectful of park , lots of sacred areas

Yuliy Ruzin

Beautiful and clean park and trails but parking is expensive $11.25 per day

David Janzen

Beautiful park to visit. Some of the are staff great! We had some great family pictures taken here. We miss some of the animals that used to be here. Love the one huge tree in the park that has the branches all grown into each other and grafted together. It was also great to see First Nations joint involvement in park operations.

Nice place for a hike. Have different paths which the visitors can choose to take Quite silent and beautiful

This place truly is a hidden gem. Just outside of Barrie, it's a wonderful place to take in the outdoors while walking on several kilometers of trails. Take the kids, go with a loved one, bring the dogs, bring a picnic lunch ... There is a small entry fee for vehicles. Parking is more than adequate, there are washrooms and a modest play area with swings. Be aware that this area is a lowland. It can be quite wet at times and biting insects can be a great nuisance.

Mohammad Farahzad

stupid park, don't bother. smallest piece of land. paid $32 for two cars to get in and out in 10 mins. dont ever go

Loved it. If I had to find and faults. It would only be that you can hear the highway. Besisde that. Huge paths. Lots to do and see. Lots of cut through... lots of dear tracks. But dogs scare them away fast.

Shannon Walsh

Lots to do and plenty of nature

Lots of beautiful walking trails. Nice they have a small playground for the kids too. Great for pushing a stroller or wagon around for an outdoor adventure. You have to pay for access but its cheap. Just a few bucks.

Yesterday we went to Springwater Provincial Park! We liked, looks perfect for a picnic, but in our opinion the park is poorly signposted and we were afraid of getting lost! You need to pay 3 dollars for parking your car, but the price is okay in my opinion!

The park wa beautiul! There were several trails (red, blue, yellow, etc. ) and we took the longest red one (5 km). The trail was nice for the first 1/3, however the rest route was so muddy and in some places, extremely muddy. It is better to walk along this trail at least 5 days after the rain.

Visited on May 15,2021. Great customer service by greeting team at the entrance. It has only parking 5&6 open for visitors. There are 6 loops for walking. Trails are very muddy (5k trail) and get ready for an adventure if you want to come out clean. Picnic area was clean, but it feels like the glory of this park has past.

I was very disappointed to see you have to pay to park. I went to pay the $3 rate for 2 hours with credit card, but it wouldn't accept it. We ended up parking along the side of the driveway and just walked from there. Walked the children's interpretative trail but didn't notice anything special about it. Easy trail for the kids.
