Berczy Park has a great path which provides a gentler slope up from downtown Barrie to The Grove neighbourhood. Many cyclists, runners, and walkers use the Berczy Park path - be careful on the sharp bends & bridge, and stick to one side of the trail!

Fun, pretty little park just tucked away. I've never seen it crowded, but it has a pretty fun playground! It's also a really good shortcut between Peel and Berczy Streets, past an interesting sort of stormwater outfall thingy. The only thing is that after dark you'll want company cutting through; I don't *know* that it's dodgy but I've *heard* that it is.

The entrance at Sophia St E/Peel St attracted me, the trail led me to walk through the mature trees along Sophia Creek and a metal bridge over Sophia Creek, arrived at a open green space. There's a playground. Other entrance is on Berczy St. There's a high-rise apartment beside the park. This park is surrounded by many historic properties. No parking lot.
