Easy hike, 1:30-2 hrs, nice view at the top. If you are confused which location point start at, this is the right point. Park your car and shake it off.

Love this hike. For a quick workout or leisurely hike it can't be beat. Fit folks can do it in less than 45 mins. Runners even faster. As your climbing believe me, you will be incredulously asking yourself "People run up this.!?!?!" Yes. But if you rarely hike or do regular exercise, don't overdo it. It can knock the wind out of you just on the first 80ft. It's best to set aside about 1.5 hours which includes a break at the top where there's a beautiful view overlooking the town of Banff and Bow River etc. Another great Vista is on the opposite side just before you reach the top and overlooks the Bow River, the Banff Springs Hotel's famous golf course, the majestic Mt. Rundle on the right and the Fairholme Range in the distance. Best place for a selfie ever. This hike is a super high recommend.

Nice mountain to climb when in Banff. The first 20 minutes are moderately hard then it's pretty much flat after that. Lots of different photo ops when up on top of the mountain. You can see Banff from one side of the mountain and a scenic view of nature and a golf course on the other side. They say you can hike the mountain in two hours but you can do it in less than an hour if you don't stop.

Great hike. Really proud of my 7 year old who made it all the way to the top and back down again. The first 15-25 mins of this hike will gice you and idea of how fit you really are. Would definitely do it again. Awesome views!

There is more parking here than the few spots that the other trailhead parking offers. It could be a bit of a steep hike up to the start of the trailhead, however, don’t be intimidated - the hike itself is much easier than this part! It takes about 10-15 minutes hike to the start of the trailhead depending on your speed and the ground conditions.

A bit of an effort to climb certain parts since it can get steep. But the summit is great and nice views as you near the top. Our 3 yr olds made it up and back, so definitely a recommended hike. Caveat** does not feature any lakes or waterfalls on the trail. Just views of banff and beyond

Third time up this one. Great views for the effort. Slippery on the trail, recommend spikes. Windy at the top. Short easy walk to the top. We recorded just under 5 KM and 305 M of elevation gain including a bit of extra exploring.

Tunnel mountain is the essential beginner hike for those wanting something simple/safe but still looking for a satisfying objective. Any mountaintop is going to make you feel like you accomplished something—the fact that this one overlooks the entire town of Banff is just a bonus.

Nice 4.5 km hike. Enjoyed the amazing views of Banff and the other side of the mountain (where you see forest, Bow river and the golf course in one of the pictures). Watch out for very high cliffs at the top, since those are easy to miss! I would not recommend going there if it is raining since some stones on the path look like they could be slippery.

Pretty easy hike that is doable with kids but it can get slippery during wintertime so consider bringing spikes. The views are ok but not the greatest in the area but you can see a cool view of the Banff from the top.

Great trail but it is steep. Will take you an hour or two depending on your speed. It is icy in the wonder (was here in November). Make sure to bring your micro spikes. Great little hike that you can tack on towards the end of the day as this isn’t an all day activity. Would recommend when in Banff. Very easily accessible if you are staying here - no need for a car to get here.
