This Park belongs to the category of State park.
Stayed at th group site. It was excellent, quiet dock, like a private resort.
Beautiful park. The lots are very close and have no trees in between to cover just bushes, the showers are covered in sludge and are disgusting too me. I was happy I had my flip flops on... the washroom flooded twice while I was there and when my car batterie died they would not jump my car at all at the park help hut. Honestly the layout of the park is totally whack and I doubt I’ll be coming back however it’s a great spot considering proximity too the mountains. Will not be returning here but if there’s nothing left too choose from, this ones the one for you for sure
Skiing today at the Hinton Nordic Center, well maintained trails with significant elevation changes. The facility also includes a biathlon range and warming lodge, note bring your own water.
Nice trails.
One of the nicest parks we spent time at. Plenty of room between camp sites. Bathrooms are clean and don't stink. There is a shower facility there as well. Nice quiet camp.
Spent a week and had a blast. Kelly's bathtub is a gem worth stopping at in the park for sure.
I love everything about this place. Great for families Lakes you can swim in not too far from Jasper and Hinton has some amazing little hideaways
Beautiful park. Beautiful campgrounds. Amazingly well-maintained. You cannot ask for more. Except maybe a better patch job or complete redo on the highway asphalt. But that's not why you were here. No, I won't dock this park a star just because you were angry about some bumps. That's right– you're angry, because of some stupid bumps, which may or may not have contributed to you spilling luke-warm coffee, driving closer to the speed-limit than you're used to in your stupid Ford F150, or because you felt emasculated due to the weird Chewbacca sounds your voice would make when you were trying to talk to the beautiful woman you somehow convinced to come camping with you for the first time. I won't. And you won't either. You'll add that extra damn star. You know why? Because it's a great park. A beautiful park. Amazingly well-maintained. With beautiful campgrounds. And you came out here to get away from all that pretentious-doesn't-matter BS.
Nice little hideaway for families
Very nice campground. Flushable toilets in an abundance and centralized free showers. Had a great experience other than the fishing wasn't any good.
Nice place for hiking
Beautiful Provincial park in the Alberta foot hills. We stayed at the Gregg Lake campground, the grounds were very clean, modern bathrooms, the campsites offered decent privacy and it's only a short drive to Jarvis Lake which has a very nice beach area for swimming. Park staff were all very friendly and also offered activities for the kids. I will definitely return next Summer!
Beautiful place to visit, so many lakes yo see and the kids love swimming in Kelly's Bathtub and Jarvis Lake.
Come here and see for yourself.
Amazing time! Group campsites rock!!
An awesome gateway destination
Large, private campsites, many kilometers of hiking trails, huge lake for water activities. Fun for the whole family!
What Gem!
Well maintained beaches
Beautiful fall colors and scenery. No shortage of trails and hikes. Nice campgrounds and hoping to make it back during the summer when everything is open.
Great places for all kinds of activities.
Nice park, good campground. The only bad thing about it is that many of the campsites need reservations, reservations for campsites is stupid. For the love of God people if you make a reservation and decide not to go, cancel it!! Then travelers who end up there at dusk, or in the rain can get a place to sleep.
Very nice area, nice view, and not that crowded!
Perfect lake...
Campsites are very close together. Not a lot of privacy if there are people next to you. 3 stars because showers were out of order. Otherwise the place was nice.
Beautiful provincial park with some gorgeous campsites and lakes. Definitely a place to go if you love nature and love canoeing or hiking!
Stunning lake with good sized camp spots.
Great place and added #691 in our I AM CANADIAN photography project Ms. Kayla @#kellysbathtub #kellysbathtub #iamcanadian13th
Beautiful views from the Athabaska Lookout!
Kelly's Bathtub at Jarvis Lake is beautiful and peaceful. So clean and fresh. The staff at the little store are friendly and knowledgeable. There is a quick, fairly easy walk of 1 km around Kelly's Bathtub that is a must do for everyone's list.
6/10
Amazing terrain, gorgeous surroundings, well-groomed course and lodge with concessions and some cool history to boot! The Biathlon shooting range is one of the nicest ones in the province.
Spectacular park. The views are beautiful and tbe people friendly. Our campsite was perfect. I just wish we could have stayed longer!
Beautiful park. Well kept areas.
Cross country ski trails are great. Well set tracks, beautiful scenery. 2 large hills near the beginning of the intermediate loop, but after that there are mainly small hills and flat areas. Dog friendly and outhouse washrooms available.
Really nice campground. Sites are nicely treed and the facilities are clean. Down side is a better Beach area could be put in.
Camped here and will come back to spend time on the hiking trails. Great park.
Great sites .... great Lakes ... good fishing
Definitely a place every Canadian should see
Attended a field trip with an elementary school, the guide was very informative and we had lots of fun doing the planned activities. The facilities were well set up for us to have a sheltered place to eat when the rain came.
Beautiful family spot
Gem
Campgrounds were well maintained and nice, private spots. The lakes were peaceful with lots to do in the area. Unfortunately, you had to pay for wood and it was a drive into the national park.
Great outdoors. Breayh taking scenery
All of the campgrounds in the park are very well maintained compared to others in the area. A little more expensive, but worth it.
Fantastic campground. Come at least once a year.
A hidden gem north of Hinton. It is a short and scenic drive to get there. If you enjoy quiet and peaceful places this park is just that.
Very nice Provincial Park with great campsites and plenty to do!
The young gentleman was extremely helpful and patient at the Visitor Centre. We told him that we wanted to canoe for 1 to 2 hours and he directed us to Jarvis Lake - WONDERFUL recommendation. We had a lovely time in the water and really enjoyed the serenity of the lake - so peaceful, and we could hear the loons calling. Great trip!
Just gorgeous
Gorgeous drive in the daylight, not so much in a snow storm at night!
Great place, beautiful view on the mountains.
I've camped here four times, at least. I highly recommend it. It's quiet at night, with very little noise or light pollution as it is quite far from civilization. I've tented and used an RV, and loved it. There tons of hiking trails, but there is definitely wildlife here. You need to have a plan for storage of your food items. Like, in your car and not in your tent.
Great place for a family adventure. Plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife. We caught video of a mother moose and her calf crossing one of the ponds at Gregg Lake.
Beautiful park, well maintained, easy to visit. Definitely recommend a visit.
Lovely little campground located outside of Hinton. Very fond of this place, as it's close enough to Jasper to go in for the day if you want while still being far enough out to avoid tourists. Recommended if you want to take some time to get away from it all, but still having 'it all' as an option.
Serene country experience. No cell coverage.
The park has everything for a relaxing time , anytime.
Spent 3 days at Wild Hay River. There's a free camping area just off hwy 40 to the east, about 5 mins past William A. Switzer Prov park when traveling north from Hinton. Beautiful Country. Lots of already made RV and tent spots right on the river ....and we even panned a bit and found some gold!
Large sites. Well treed. Clean washrooms. The shower is a bit cold. Loop B not as nice as the other loops.
We only stopped in for lunch on our way home from a long trip, but the area was amazing with great sites, cure streams running through the grounds, covered areas, playground, private campsites, and a nice beach. We intend on going back for a much longer stay.
very nice park
Jarvis Lake is wonderful. The water is clean, not too cold. The beach is very clean, not rocky, and has sand castle making sand!
Beautiful area
Beautiful Place to camp or just spend the day.
Gorgeous little spot to go for a walk, bike ride or splash around in the lake. The little gift shop has great stuff and friendly staff!
Nice drive
Probably the best pike fishing in the Rockies
Beautiful hidden gem.
Soooooo beautiful
Live the forest here. Very well maintained camp site. Goid for everything from tents to large units.
Place to relax and swim at Kellys tub
Beautiful hike and quiet place.
Clean, quiet, lots trees and friendly staff.
So surreal
Great campsite! They have a little theater and do presentation s on things like wild life. The set up is amazing. Perfect for tenting or bringing an RV.
Nice place for rest
Peaceful
Quiet. Lake is crystal clear. Playground is nice. Will camp again :)
Graham Jarvis Lake is awesome. Old guys rule
Clean and quiet campground, beautiful lake. Not too far from town.
A must see park. I especially like the Jarvis lake. Both fishing and canoeing there is an amazing experience.
Beautiful provincial park.
clean place
Nice place!
Fantastic views, great trail must go with kids
Beautiful gem of a Provincial Park
A fantastic place to take treks and relax. The views were breathtaking
Nice, beautiful area
Beautiful location and hardly anyone midweek in the L loop of the Gregg Lake campground. The seclusion contributed to the fear of running into a bear though!
Out of view of others very nice place to eat supper at
Beautiful park and campgrounds. Lots of wildlife in the area and surprisingly not to bad for bugs.
Well maintained and quiet campground with beautiful scenery and nice walking trails (good distances for kids). Modern and well maintained playgrounds. The Lakeside (L Loop) campground has lots of trees between most lots. Beautiful lakes and scenery, good canoeing and kayaking for beginners and kids as the lakes aren't too big, and Jarvis Creek running between the lakes is beautiful (if you can make it). Only one location has running toilets and sinks however, and it's far from L loop. Otherwise there are outhouse style toilets throughout and they are as clean as outhouse toilets can be.
Get spots next to cache lake. They are by far the best
Really nice little park.
Nice hikes, aspecially the Blue Lake Trail. It has been closed for 10 years so quit an experience.
Fantastic views and a great variety of lakes that have different opportunities from power boating to kayaking. Good day use areas and sections set up for swimming. A stocked trout pond and lots of other lakes for fishing. Most campsites offer minimal privacy, but that is unfortunately fairly common in most parks. Mix of reserved and first come sites/campgrounds.
Great pull out and highway rest stop with clean public outhouses
Kelly’s bathtub at Jarvis lake is great.
Beautiful views! Lots to explore and do while in the park.
Amazing
Such a wonderful area all nestled in the mountains around Hinton.
Nice campsite.
Great place to camp with the family. Lots of great activities at the parks every weekend.
Not overcrowded. Amazing views. Lots of wildlife.
Nice park close to Jasper.
Haha, I half expected Yogi Bear to show up after his winter's nap. A gorgeous sunny Alberta day to go have a picnic! It is also nice to have access to a picnic shelter if the weather is not cooperating.
Gorgeous lakes and scenery await you. Make sure you do a bit of research into what to do while you're there! You don't want to miss out.
What a hidden gem this is. Fall colors and wildlife.
This was a great camping spot. Far enough from the highway that the noise was minimal. Lake was amazing and the trails kept me entertained for days. Lots to explore. Highly recommended.
I’ve camped in this park every year for the last 5 years or so. It’s a gorgeous spot that’s close to Hinton, Jasper and Grande Cache. Bring your canoe.
Great park in the mountains
The more quaint yet perhaps even more ruggedly beautiful version of Banff/Jasper! It gets much colder here than in the South, but fear not, as with the colder temperatures comes fewer tourists and much more private campsites. If you can brave the cold, this national park will blow you away, and absolutely deserves a visit!

Absolutely one of the best parks in Alberta. From Kelly's bathtub for the afternoon or any of the campgrounds (my personal favorite is Pierre Greys Lakes) to Muskeg falls for a picnic. You are guaranteed to be happy and have a great camping trip.
It was closed for the season. But very nice walking trails and the view is stunning.
Camping is abundant, clean and spacious. Lakes are beautiful and the natural scenery is great. Lots of walking, hiking and nature viewing.
Great park, lovely scenery, great campsites
Well put together
(Translated) Magnificent !! We feel very small ... (Original) Magnifique !! On sent tout petit ...
Amazing retreat, staff were kind, park was clean and the sites were well maintained! Will definitely return
Canoeing fun, great get away location.
This is one of my favorite parks in Canada. The views are spectacular and there is great swimming! The forests, trails, and wildlife alone are worth stopping for but the lakes are perfect for swimming and campsites that are well maintained. There is parking available and the water is only a short walk away. Kelley's Bathtub is a personal favorite and is great for families with young children. It is also dog friendly with many people bringing their pets along to swim in the water. It can be a bit chilly in the evenings but during the heat of the day there is full sun exposure which makes the chilly water ideal to escape high temperatures. There is a trail network surrounding Kelley's that weaves into the surrounding woods and picnic tables available.
Lots to do here and nowhere near the seasonal crowds that you'd see at Jasper.
A real foothills gem that most people drive by on their way to Jasper National Park. Great for camping, hiking, canoeing, or just hanging out by the various lakes (e.g. Jarvis and Gregg Lakes).
Athabasca lookout was truely a hidden gem and also an short hike away from the parking lot.
Awesome place very pretty, also very kind people working there!
Good
Well kept and very beautiful scenery and good fishing too
Beaver Ranch group campground has a cabin and is perfect for gatherings even if the weather doesn't cooperate.
Had most amazing time today at Kelley's Bathtub snow shoeing. We ate so lucky to live in such beautiful country and mountains right here
Love walking around Kelly's bathtub. We did some snow shoeing and sledding here this winter and it was a fantastic time for the whole family
Very nice campground. Clean showers and nice sites.
Quickly becoming my favourite place to camp in Alberta. There are plenty of lakes to paddle around and multiple hiking trails nearby.
Great camping, lovely lakes...you don't need to go to thr mountains to have a beautiful getaway.
Awsome . Great place ????
This place sucks ass!! Wouldnt let me in because I was in a truck. Canada is overpriced and has a horrible government, no respect for the working class. Only out to seperate you from your money. Beautiful mountains that cant be enjoyed thanks to Trudeau and company. Will never go back.
Beautiful.
Beautiful park!
What a wonderful park. Lakes, hiking trails, camping, canoeing. Highly recommended.
(Translated) Very nice campsite (Original) Très beau camping
Very nice park with some nice views.
Very nice and clean campground

Uncrowded beautiful place so many canoeing options
Large camping sites
So much to see, so many trails. Canada is amazing! We are so blessed. So many trees and so much land
William A. Switzer Park is a beautiful campsite nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Easily accessible, close to both Hinton and Jasper. When camping here you know you are in the forest with lots of trees and a fantastic clean lake. The kids swam and boated out to the island and explored the shoreline. Limited facilities but if you enjoy a true camping experience you'll love this location. Affordable and very well maintained.
Great location next to Jarvis Lake. Great for fishing and boating. Powered camping stalls. Park for the kids within eyesight of campsites.
Beautiful
Great place to take kids fishing to some camping and even some boating
Quiet and peaceful beautiful lake. Jarvis Lake and Kelly's Bathtub.
Great walking trails and educational plaques.
Great place to visit
We loved the Beaver Ranch interpretive walk.
Love!
Lovely campground
Was camping at Gregs lake it was a beautiful and clean campsite with good trails. Kelley's bathtub had amazing views it is a must see if you are in the area.
Grade A provincial park. Old prospectors used to take their monthly baths here.
Great place. Campsites kinda weird and wide open
WOW, so beautyful
Spent 10 days at Graveyard lake campground. I had an AMAZING time. Bring a canoe or an inflatable raft to access Graveyard lake. You wont be disappointed.
This photo is taken around Kelly’s bathtub trail in William A. Switzer Provincial Park.
Great places to explore!!!
Love how quiet it is here. ????
We only explored a little bit both there are nice trails and great views
Beautiful Jarvis Lake
Awesome scenery ????????. Always a peaceful delight to visit with my best friends . Thank you to all the professional staff.
Love hiking and fishing in and around the many lakes in the park.
Very nice
There is nice trails that you can walk 1k around part of the lake that Kelly's bathtub. Didnt catch any fish though...
Wet and cool at this time of year but very quiet.
This place is nectar.
Beautiful lakes and great hiking trails
Went to Kelly's bathtub on a field trip with my kids class. Really nice place.
Beautiful, short walk with limited elevation, we did both trails from the tourist center. The staff were helpful and cheerful. Main toilet was closed, of course, but the potties were clean and there was sanitizer despite the note saying that you need to provide your own. The lakes were very clear, and later a trail information marker told us why.... very interesting, now you must go to find out. There is also several picnic table and fire pit areas, and there were benches on the trail in case you are tired or wanted to check out the view.
Great place for camping and easy hiking
Closed in winter so no review for yoy
Beautiful
We stayed here and explored for 3 days. I did not want to go home
No trash laying around, campgrounds have lots of bear safe garbage cans. Easy transactions with staff.
I live here and I love it here
Nice to see there is a brand new boating dock at Jarvis Lake, yeh! Jarvis Lake is very nice lake for "Boating" enthusiasts to Fish, Play n Stay. Cheers ★ ♥ :) :)
Far enough off the beaten path to feel less busy. Campsites are close together so sound travels but the trees and sightlines make it feel less crowded.
Great lakes and camping
The experience was nice, I was there for day activities but have camped there before. If you don't mind the 45-50 minute drive into the Jasper townsite, the campsite are cheaper and much more spacious
Loved it. Beautiful place.
Cache lake.
My wife and I started at Gregg lake campground. It was a very peaceful lake and we enjoyed canoeing as there are no motorized boats there. Ended up catching a nice size Pike. Water is clear fresh and cold. Camp sites were ok but most don't have any seclusion. All amenities though.
Tried fishing at Gregg lake for 5 days straight. Not a bite. Saw 3 fish down deep. Bear visited Campground every couple days. Didn't bother anybody, just came thru for the berry crop. Campground was quiet for the week we spent there in August.
Nice drive, great lakes to swim
Many different trails and places to get out and explore
Just beautiful. Well maintained.
Great cross country skiing.
Ok lakes to fish. Use respect pick up your trash
Worth a visit
Bathrooms are not the best but the campground is is nice !!!
Awesome
Good fishing nice clean lake
Staff at Gregg lake camp ground extremely polite and knowledgeable!
My favorite place in the world!
(Translated) I can only recommend. Off the beaten track a Canada, as you would imagine: lots of nature, tranquility, very nice people. Rent a kayak and go paddling! (Original) Kann ich nur empfehlen. Abseits der Touristenströme ein Kanada, wie man es sich vorstellt: Viel Natur, Ruhe, sehr nette Leute. Kajak ausleihen und lospaddeln!
Grew up with summers here, always beautiful and well monitored. Gregg lake is a hidden gem.
Peaceful setting
(Translated) Super (Original) Super
Great outdoor hiking trails
I love Switzer park. So much to do in a beautiful low key location.
Athabasca Lookout Trail during early fall snowfall
beautiful place to go and never overcrowded.
Stopped at the Pine bay provincial park lodge house. Good place in the woods, surrpundded by tall trees. Very good for camping. Restrooms are available on site. Have to reserve or register with Alberta parks authority either online or in person during their working hours. Betyer to reserve online. But if not, you can register on site the same day or the next day
Peaceful and quiet
Beautiful Spot for camping with lots of things to do and offer.Dogs and People can both enjoy .Looking forward to go back on Summer Time
Beautiful scenery, picture perfect
Beautiful scenery! Great fishing and lots of wildlife to see! Maybe a little crowded but that's the only complaint.
Great nature park.
So peaceful
(Translated) When driving in the direction of the Alaska Highway you drive through here. Very nice area, forest, water, wild animals (black bears). (Original) Bei der Fahrt in Richtung Alaska Highway fährt man hier durch. Sehr schöne Gegend, Wald, Wasser, wilde Tiere (Schwarzbären).
Beautiful place to stop and have a short walk or a picnic.
Fun place to go
Good park
Fantastic area to be in nature
It's just gorgeous
Surrounding scenery is beautiful. Campsites aren't overly private. Went in early June and luckily there were not too many other campers. Some of the campgrounds are just open areas with some firepits put down. Friendly staff.
Excellent mountain biking
Ok
Love this park it's a must see for all
If you don't want to pay the money for a park pass to get into Jasper then this park is a great choice. It's just as beautiful as jasper and quite a bit closer. If you go to the Greg lake registration office, talk to the girls there and ask them about a creek you can kayak down that connects all of the lakes and has some great views and huge diversity of sights to see. Easy trek that everyone of every level of skill is going to enjoy.
Beautiful, clean park. Rangers and staff are so helpful. Pristine lakes and trails
Beautiful park, very nice
(Translated) Very nice such a rest (Original) Sehr schön so eine Ruhe
Nice campgrounds, beautiful lakes. Canoe or kayak from blue lake to Gregg lake.
Love this area so many places to fish and camp beautiful lakes.
The water is crystal clear there can be a bit of boat traffic it is kept very clean and is very easy to find your way around
Beautiful
Nice parks , as long as Fish cops are not around too harrassed.!
Lots to do in the area. Gregg lake is a long way from our camp. Had to drive to it with small kids. The parks are tiny, not much to so for older kids. No open green spaces I could see to use for badminton etc. The bathrooms were nice with flushable toilets. The site was clean and well spaced for my 27bh Jayco plus crew cab and tent
Went here camping because jasper was full. Great full service camping location. Lots to do for the kids and not very crowded. Will deffinattly be returning.
Beautiful pond..and a nice small trail around. Gorgeous view..
Beautiful just beautiful
I love it, lakes are beautiful and campgrounds are well maintained.
The day use area at the info center was awesome. Lots of fire pits, nice beach area for the kids and clean.
