You have all the feddbacks of real people who purchased the services of Park Lake Provincial Park (Park) in Alberta (Canada).
To this day this business gets a score of 4.2 out of 5 and that rating was based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is really high, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we may be pretty sure that the evaluation is quite faithful. If people have bothered to give their opinion when they are happy with the business, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put reviews when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Park belongs to the category of Park.
Lake is good for boats/kayak especially for beginners as it seems quite gentle for the most of times... beach is not too bad with decent area with shallow water... overall, it is beautiful... BUT it really really stinks at the campsite - at times, it stinks at the beach too!!! The washrooms are gross and one of the two water taps in the campsite was broken... I don't think we'll be back...
Great park
Well preserved piece of haven on the prairie, however the lake itself is turning quite nasty, and the beach is unkept and full of dead weeds. My fiance and I brought our 1 year son to the beach for his first lake swim, and I spent half of my time clearing an area that would be clean enough for him to play on the shore.
The beach
Great for a weekend getaway
Nice place
Love park lake.
Great for paddle boarding and family picnics.
Nice place
Nice beach and everything is well maintained but the sites are so tightly packed together that you have absolutely no privacy. There's also a smell in the air depending on where the winds coming from.
Good park, generally kept clean, beach is a bit small but the lake is a man made lake. Nice camping facilities I come here often to enjoy nature and look at the stars.
Camped in the B site for 2 nights. The campsite itself B-48 was very roomy, albeit lacking in shade and privacy. Our friends' site right across from us B-47 had more trees and more shade. The toilets were clean but there was no sink inside, just a couple of taps outside which we were grateful for. There were apocalyptic-proportion swarms of mosquitoes during dusk so that was fun (NOT). The day-use and beach areas were great, but again, there was no sinks or showers anywhere so we decided not to swim. It pretty much stank of urine and manure during our entire stay. Not sure if from the lake or the nearby farms. We can hear the vehicles and train but that wasn't too bad. The walking path around the lake was great and clearly marked. Had a good time but will definitely not camp here again.
Gopher holes dead grass not enough trees group sites are to expensive
Beautiful camping
One of the few beaches around Lethbridge
Quiet, well kept camp site with basic outhouses, running water, and gravel pad tenting sites on one side, and I believe the other side has hookups for trailers.
Quiet and beautiful great place to go camping or just get away for the day
A nice lake with a small beach, good for families to just play in the water. Very RV-focused, so don't go looking for a nice place for tent camping. No running water for showers or washroom.
Very easy to get to. All the amenities you want and a perfect spot to spend the day at the beach
For what it is it's pretty good. Went canoeing. Water was actually pretty clear about 6 feet down. Lot of weeds out in the lake but the swimming area was good.
Awesome little Lake and nice beach. Consession has good, cheap food. Tenting sites are not very private but good enough.
nice campground for families
Expensive, bathrooms were in horrible shape and was way over crowded
Great location...woukd have loved to see the camp host out checking out the campers. During a fire ban people were having fires all the while the camp host is in his trailer lights out at 9pm.
Depending on which way the wind is blowing you can smell the feed lots, but it's a very nice campground, trails are nice, good beach for everyone and great playgrounds for the kids. Also a lot of nice places for photography!!
Park Lake Provincial Park is set to be de-listed from the parks system, meaning that it will no longer be subject to the protections that it enjoys now. This will open it up for future development. If you don't want to see this happen, contact your MLA, Environment Minister Jason Nixon, and Premier Jason Kenney to tell them why you oppose this plan.
Very clean, lots of big trees for shade and privacy.
Nice campground, has a sani-dump for free for overnight guests, that was nice...
Very beautiful place.
Park Lake is a nice, nearby getaway. We were looking forward to the little concession stand where we were going to get ice cream, but it was closed :( I imagine it's open only on weekends, we were there on a weekday. The bathrooms are all outhouses and the garbage bins smelled really bad. I was told years ago by my doctor not to swim in park lake or let my daughter swim in the water, as it was brining in many girls to the clinic with infections "down there" from the unclean water. So we don't go there to swim, but it's got a pretty little walking path and some nice trees. Last time we tried to camp there tho it was death by mosquitoes in the evening.
A local favorite for families in the summer. Beware of swimmers itch and make sure to shower off after swimming.
Large lake, love the beach! Fun boating and fishing
Camping always seems busy. Nice to visit during the off season for some hiking to areas not always accessible
The campspots are REALLY tight together...It backs onto a farm so there is eau de manure. …
It was very wet. I highly recommend ????

The campsites are really small and not alot of privacy between sites. The lake is ok and close enough for a weekend away from the city.
Great place for an evening in the kayak
Good place for a picnic and let the kids play
We just finished a 3 day weekend there. First time ever going. Beautiful scenery, nice clean beach waters, great Concession with great prices. Lots were all accessible and facility was clean. Only thing is the outhouses should have some type of deodorizer in it as it was a strong ammonia smell. Would be nice if the beach shower was warmer water too... Overall nice family time!
(Translated) Beautiful beach !!! (Original) Belle plage !!!
It's not a mountain park, but is beautiful nonetheless with a fairly large lake and cottonwood forest, with decent trails. Great for families and calm, quiet.
Stinky water
Come here all the time great place for on and off leash dog walking and having a very relaxed evening
Good place to visit
Beautiful area the lake is full of weeds though
The lake was fun to swim in and the campground lived up to all of my expectations and the only issue was that the bathroom was not up to my standards but that was probably because it was an outhouse.
Very popular place, there is bathrooms here and a good boat launch. Nice place to go for a small canoe /kayak / sup board paddle . There is also a beach and lots of people do swim here .
We arrived mid-week in the middle of June to a campground with lots of empty spaces expecting to pay at the park for a campsite only to discover that this park is a reservation only park. We had to call to reserve a site online and pay the additional reservation fee to camp at a park with lots of open sites and onsite staff. This is a rip off! There are two camping areas in this park - one section of the campground is pack tightly together; the other section is spread out along the lake shore. We chose the quiet, nearly empty area with a site that backed onto the lake. We enjoyed the nice lakeside trail and views until evening when the wind shifted, and the smell of cow dung was so bad it drove us indoors. What a stink! This park has a nice boat launch, beach, and playground with lots of picnic space. It is close to a city, but the cow dung stink was too much for us.
Nice and quiet.
We take our dogs for walks at the boat launch area. We give them 30 foot leashes do they can play in the lake, and they love it.
Awesome place to hangout for weekend.
Lake seems nice but our campsite backed on to a highway... Not much privacy between sites... There must be a large ranch or dairy close by as the aroma was pungent at times.
I'll always go back very nice place
So so place.
It was busy when we were there. The water wasnt appealing to swim in.
Great place for kids. Campsites little run down. Forced to pay reservation fee. Gravely beach but still fun.
It was great but the bathrooms are kinda dirty. Other than that it is a great place to go and chill for the day
Loved it. Gravel beach well tree'd and there is a concession as well. Small dock. And boats are allowed. Easy access from parking lot. Camping nearby by reservation as well.
Great site for a little bit of beach time. Picnic tables and a boat launch available too. Great for canoeing and paddleboarding!
The water is disgusting, children should not play in it
Good place for bird watching (and fishing but that is not my cup of tea) before it warms up in the summer for picnics and swimming. Too bad the narrow minded provincial government was threating to close this park.
Beautiful place around this time of year, everything is soo lush and green
We were visiting Lethbridge looking for a beach. This park has a tinier beach but the water is great, super cold but clean and clear. We didn't camp but drove through and it looks beautiful with many sites by the water. The bathrooms sadly were extremely filthy.
A well treed Park built around an irrigation lake. The swim area is large and is very shallow. Wonderful picnic site with multiple picnic tables and firearms. Has two sections for overnight RV and tent camping.
Great place to go if you have kids. Water seems pretty clean.
Nice, basic campground. Pit toilets were clean.
Really nice small getaway...
A great park to camp close to Lethbridge or for a quick beach day with kids. Playground and concession on site, change rooms and water to rinse the sand off. Camping is by online reservation only for all sites, which sucks because you eat the 12 dollar online surcharge without a choice. The beach sand is quite coarse. I'd totally recommend Park Lake for those with young children needing close access to home.
Fun little park with a stone beach.
Can't rate this one. I needed a place to pitch my tent for the night. Unfortunately, it's "reservation only." I called the reservation number and it was closed. Tried online and the only two sites available for that night required a disability sticker. May return another day, who knows.
Nice enough beach for proximity to Lethbridge, gets a little slimy later in the summer
It's a beautiful place to go for a walk and a picnic
This time we went in winter so it was really nice to walk on the ice and spot animal tracks in the dirt and the snow. Unfortunately it was windy.
Weedy mess.
Sites are close together with little to no privacy and they didn't do a great job cleaning the washrooms. Being on the lake is nice but you're also right beside a highway/farm road that gets pretty busy.
Seriously perfect place for kids, families, day trips. Events. The beech isvery clean. The water is knee high for a good 10 Meters for toddlers. There is a deep end. Boat launch. Ice cream shop with food as well like burgers. Staff are …
Nice place to have your own time..
nice camping, very close to Lethbridge
Outhouses with no running water in them. The lake is nice. The trails are decent. The down sides is the outhouses and the road on the north side is busy off and on all night. Hard to sleep with loud trucks passing by. And cannot recommend the milk shakes at Sugar Daddy’s. Very watery and lacking flavor. Anyway it’s not a bad stay but will not be coming back.
Sometimes too windy
Nice little beach, lake is great for little kids because it stays shallow a long way out. Concession open this year.
A hidden gem, we will definitely be going back.
Very small lake not to busy nice place to spend time with family friends
We enjoy stand-up paddle boarding here with our dog. Don’t particularly like to fall in because of all the really tall weeds throughout the “lake” (pond). With all the feedlots surrounding need to keep an eye on water quality.
Has camping area, a family beach, picnic areas throughout, trails to walk and a decent boat launch area.
????
Good but fishing is limited to Pike and the occasional perch.
Wonderful place to camp
This was the lake of my childhood summers. Loved every moment being there.
Cute day area with a decent playground and a good concession.
Nice place
Lake
great for sun set photo shoots
Clean facilities. Easy access to the lake. We had a great time.
Nice weekend camping spot for family camping. Playground and beach are great for children. Firepits and picnic tables in camping spots. Potable water is available free. Bring your own firewood. Arrive early in the summer to get a good spot. Camping after Labour Day and before Victoria Day is less busy, but check when they close down sites and water access. 10 minutes from Lethbridge, which is perfect if you forget something.
Great Beach, warm water, good times!
Very nice park, 15km north west of Lethbridge. Reserve camping available also large day use area. Has a Concession, shallow lake area, beach area, play structure, boat launch (don't thing gas engines allowed??) and fishing.
Very beautiful and a nice place to camp. There is a few toilets and a water pump to use. The water is beautiful
Amazing camping beach is close by! Perfect for children as there are 2 parks to play at as well. Also great for boating on small floats or boats and fishing is great too
Love the sunset with the stars.
The Beach and Lake are perfect for kids. Shallow water going out a long way.
Pretty boring after 30mins
Don't swim in that water unless you feel like swimming in bird poop. That is all
Fun for the whole fam
Plenty of washrooms and running water and garbage cans.
Good fishing!
One of our very favour places to camp. Close to home. Great for kids and great for outdoor enthusiasts. Good fishing ( so I'm told) and lovely walking paths. Concession has great ice cream/ gelato!
Great place for families to go on a weekend at the beach. Beach is more fine pea gravel as opposed to sand. Ice cream sales and candy. Decent camping with hookups. Max boat motor on Lake is 9.9hp
Really nice clean well taken care of campsite. Right on a lake. Only has elec. Service no sewer hookups
Beautiful
Always spend good time in here. The water is not as clean as you want but with the playground and BBQ in site you will have an overall good experience for the family.
Its quiet and there are lots of birds
Nice beach during summer.
Nice Lake, camp sites are powered which is nice. Sites are a bit close for our liking.
I have lived in Lethbridge all my life and never have camped at park lake until this summer. I was very surprised as to what It had to offer and how nice the layout was for a small camp ground in the prairies. The camp sites are large with a lot of space for big and small units, a lot of well mature trees for good shade and privacy within your spots. They have the small lake that you can go and enjoy and also great bike paths around the whole lake to get some exercise on your trip. At the lake there is a snack shake with burgers, drinks, ice cream etc.. which was really nice in case you forgot to pack something. When your trip is done they have a dumping station right on site which was great so we didn’t have to make another stop on our way home. We had a wonderful time staying here and would definitely come back. Thanks Team.
a great place for a day trip, lots of stuff to do from fishing to playgrounds, and the obligatory over priced park food (not the worst offender by far)

So relaxing. Went during the week so not much people. Prayed some bochee Ball.
Always a good time for the family and dog. Close to Lethbridge, water was good, worth the time spent there.
Great swimming beach to take the kids
My favorite place for sunsets
Great little hideaway in the middle of the prairies. Many people swim here, but I prefer being on my boat. Smaller Lake with calm waters. 2 nice playgrounds, Lots of campsites, and a summertime Pavilion that serves ice cream and food, along with firewood. ????????⛱️???? Lovely sunset too. Be sure to pack sunscreen and insect repellent if you want a good time though!????
My nieces and nephews always want to go there to swim. There's a booth there to get food.
Really nice smaller campground. The sites are a little small but amazing for kids. We were in section B and all sites are close to the playground. The beach is fantastic can be walked to from the campground about 5-7 minutes or a 2 minute drive. They also have a small beach restaurant that does burgers, hot dogs, milk shakes, ice cream etc. Lots of room on the sand but great picnic tables in the grassy treed area for shade and dogs. Another great park for the kids next to the beach. Gave the kids plenty to do all day! Bathrooms are what they are... outhouses. Very clean, hand sanitizer supplied. The bugs were crazy in there but not a lot can be done about that. Very nice clean park. Would stay there again for sure!
Arrived 10 minutes before the park office closed. They told us ALL camping is done on-line and gave us a number to call. How helpful is that if you don't have a phone? You CANNOT pay any other way except by paying TWELVE DOLLARS for the reservation fee service on top of the $31.00 for the campsite. Huge fines and threats of jail time if you attempt any other method of paying. The very helpful lady in the office said they would likely waive the registration fee since we were already on site. When I asked to have the $12 waived, I was told that was impossible. So $43 for one night, with no showers or even flush toilets. The only amenity we had was electricity. It seemed a lot to pay for a wesry traveller to park for 12 hours. Oh and then there's the $3.00 pump-out fee on top of that. (We didn't use it.) The park itself is nice.
Beautiful park and nice to visit at sunset. Not too busy and able to enjoy the park in a more quiet sense.
Reasonably nice lake/recreation area for families but suffers a little from a lack of investment and maintenance of its assets
What's not to love
Great area for non motorized boating, fishing swimming and camping. Will come back.
Water is dirty now but warm enough for a paddle
Family friendly , lots of picnic tables and bbq's Fab lake , plenty shade and lots of parking
It be noice and toit
Great spot, not too busy but the was blowing in the wrong direction!
Has nice play grounds.
Always busy but its close to lethbridge
Would have given it 5 if only showers were available. After a day at a beach would have been nice to wash off. No shower available at any time. Was at Site A10-North side and good shady areas. North side has more trees therefor shade. Close to outhouse, water and also there was power at this site. It is indeed close to the highway which can be busy at times but it didn’t bother us. Concession was a hit with the kids. Reasonably price. Ice cream was better than most concession at other campground. Order firewood at concession and they can drop it off at your site. Concession is open 11am to 7pm on sunny days and 4pm to 7pm on rainy days which is located by the beach. Little trails was nice and clean. Nice sunrise and sunsets. We went fishing at the other side of the lake but unfortunately we did not catch any but was informed that pike and walleye can be caught. Crystal Spring cheese is about 5mins drive. Lethbridge about 15 mins. Legendary Wing King is a must to try in Lethbridge.
It is a beautiful Park .
Too much crowded people lots of mosquito s
Lots of weeds no shore foshing possible but good for camping
Amazing place to go and enjoy
I loves the big lake and the trees ????????so refreshing air.
Beach is just smsll pebbles
Nice place to take the family for the day
Really close campsites but it does the job.
Awesome food consession stand..lots of shade..nice water to swim in.. beautiful sun set...but could do without the weeds in the water and softer sand. All in all it was beautiful place ????????
Usually there's good fishing just off shore, not far from the city, very nice park
Our favourite beach in the Lethbridge area. During the summer the kids love playing on the sandy beach and swimming in the water. I do recommend showering afterwards because the water can get gross like most lakes. Bring a picnic lunch or buy food at the canteen....play at the park, go for a walk or just suntan....whatever you choose, it's a great place to enjoy the summer at. ????
Hope you like weeds with your brown water.
Good park, lake is used for irrigation so maybe a bit slimy in some areas. It is a man made lake, nice place to visit and has mature trees in most places. Would rate it higher but it is Park Lake so 4 stars is about right. It's definitely not Waterton National Park.
Nice little fishing lake and not too bad camping. Would be better if not right beside hiway
Best beach around, group and family camping areas, fishing, swimming bike paths, playground, concession, and day use areas. Continuously monitored by parks staff. Great place for families and kids!
Nice fall colors!
Awesome place to go and relax with the concession running it's great
Nice family place to visit
Wood, water, sand (beach) togather.
Nice and close but not sure if I would swim here
Well maintened ,very quiet in some areas excellent to have a lunch there on weekends.
Spring is just here. They have lots of cleanup to do, leaves, sticks etc, water is low, the canels are not running yet but when they do it will be nice
Nice park and beach area to play in.
Very nice group use area. Great space for large family gatherings, etc.
Peaceful and lots of trees
Cozy
Nice camping in site by lake
Very beautiful lake. Too much parking. I feel like smaller parking lots would help keep the natural beauty. 2 on site camping grounds are very beautiful
Nice little lake in the middle of the prairies.
We have grown up in the Taber area but for some reason we have never been to Park Lake. We had rain, wind and sunshine, we liked our stay. We were backed up to the lake and it was fabulous! Beautiful scenery, the birds were great to watch and it is a nice quiet camp ground. We will be coming back and we will recommend Park Lake to all our family and friends.
Great place to spend the day or the weekend.
Fun place to go for the family. Lots of room for the kids to play nice beach.
Always my go to mini get away when i want to be back in nature. Not far from Lethbridge its just a beautiful place to be. Great for hiking, fishing, or just relaxing by visiting the cute little shops and dining on some good food .
(Translated) beautiful place (Original) Prachtige plek
???? the park
I would suggest the sites with the power if you are looking for a more quiet site. The ones by the lake are less private. It is also more windy by the water. And did I mention WINDY...
Great facilities, nice location, pretty
Do you love swimming with weeds? Then this is the place for you. Cant they bring in some fish that eat weeds? If you aren't going in the water it is beautiful.
Clean, quiet, lot's of birds. The water is also still clean this time of year.
Perfect place to spend the day. The only downs side is the outhouses. They stink
Dirty water
Beautiful Park beautiful place for family to enjoy
Fun 11/10
Basic campground, clean and well maintained, there are power sites, no water. Pit toilets, no flush or showers. It has shade in most sites throughout the day
Very natural place .we had very nice time with my friends family. Its lovely place.
In summer I'm on the fence about this place, it depends on the crowd and the wind. Sometimes the water smells terrible and looks even worse but it's got a nice beach area to lay out play with kids, a nice park for kids to play at and bathrooms and changing areas. In the winter It is a nice spot for ice fishing or skating with proper safety precautions.
Relaxing and enjoyable hot dog roast over an open fire in picnic area. Beautiful weather and natural scenery. Uplifting evening.
Nice place to relax and picnic, paddle boarding, boating. The water is very calm.
Just looking for future camping..but it appeared neat and ckean
Quiet and peaceful
(Translated) Wonderful landscape. (Original) Paisagem maravilhosa.
It's a hot July weekend. On Sunday afternoon we drove out to Park Lake. We were very surprised and disheartened to see The Concession was closed. When do they open?
Nice campground, though not much privacy between sites. Saw a baby raccoon hiding in the day use area.
I Have Been Going There for Party's and Long Weekends
Kids always seem t have the most fun here. I do as well but I have fun everywhere.
Nice place
Nice.
Lovingly place to walk when no one is there fall beautiful smell the leaves
The local swimming lake! Being going since i was a kid!
Fun and close to the city
The Beaver group had a great time at the camp out here. Nice park next to a feed lot.
Fairly nice park. The day area was fairly busy. We had to come real early to save the camp kitchen for our group.
Hosts that were there are a bit strict... Wouldn't even allow my son to pick up dead sticks. Nice campground though
Very stinky place seemed like campers dumped thier sewer right at camp.site instead of paying another 6 dollars for dumping fees on top of expensive camp fees of 45 dollars! Toilets were discouraging just a hole in ground no running water and very stinky
Nice campground with a great beach. Water is clean and good fishing. The camp hosts were very friendly and quickly helped out when there was a power issue. Definitely would go back.
Have alot of great memories from here...nice beach, camping stalls and scenery...
Mature trees on each camp site. Lake was nice but a bit busy on the beach. Outhouse cleaned each morning.
Lots of fun on a sunny Sunday in winter!
Great place to go to soak up the sun and enjoy the outdoors
Great lake and campground for families. An oasis for sure. Site A is a few steps from water. Lots of SUP fun. Totally recommend.
Nice camp spot
Beautiful setting by a clean lake and beach. Has a lunch counter to buy burgers to cones!
Great place to spend a day or bring a picnic
Great place
Close to Lethbridge.
Nice camping site nor far from Lethbridge. It has a small beach. Someones are fishing.
Wonderful park. Well maintained, very cleaned and standing lake.
But it rained the entire time. Park is great.
I’ve camped here twice now, and I guess you could say there are many pros and cons. Pros- close to town (Lethbridge) so you have all the stores in case you come unprepared. There is a sand beach (not the best sand, but still sand) There is a concession but I don’t know what the hours are like or if it even runs anymore, this last time I went Thursday-Sunday and it wasn’t open any days. Lots of toilets (not the flush kind though) Camp sites are close to the main beach area. Parks for children to play at Decent prices per night $32 for non serviced, $41 for serviced (that’s with tax included) Cons- not very private sites Highway is right there and very loud with the trucks passing by No showers Lake is very dirty Beach area gets insanely busy on weekends If you just want a kinda party camp time with friends it’s a good place but if you’re looking to get away from all the hussel bussel this isn’t the place to be! Make sure to book ahead as this place does get full on weekends!
It was great but only gave 3 stars as their outhouses don't have any light source or hand sanitizer. Other than that I would say there were no mosquitos and the beach was pretty decent. The picnic area was pretty good as well!
Best to go early in the summer when the water doesn't stink. Early morning is best
I live just down the road love it
Haven't been to park Lake sense 1983. Still pretty close to the same. They moved the dock!
Pit toilets could be cleaned more regularly as they were disgusting, no showers and the concession they make up their own hours which makes it difficult to get fire wood when no one is there .I'm surprised that there are no showers as there is a beach and a lot of people like to shower off after being in the lake. Dont know if we will come back to this campground
Do not stay here. It smells like a sewer times ten from the feed lots nearby. ???????? How any thinking person could give this place five starts is beyond me. ????????
Cleaner then the last time i was out there for sure.
Good enough for a picnic. There are tables and trees around
A fine enough place for a walk or to spend the afternoon. Water quality is questionable.
Absolutley beautiful and so peaceful
Excellent day for kayaking. Had a great time.
