Lots of paths to explore. In the winter, the marshy areas are accessible. Chickadees eat from your hand!

Melvyn Joseph

Good place for quick walk and bike.

Trevor Lydiatt

Awesome park to walk to from Lions Park in St. Albert, can get windy at times with open space by Big Lake.

Ryan C

Nice little loop, saw lots of birds and some little ducklings

Julie May

Walkways are set up in an excellent fashion to preserve wildlife. Ran into a ranger and he was very friendly. Amazing view of lake, marshland around the lake, ducks, starlings, and so much more. This area doesn't seem overrun with people, but the wildlife behaves very used to people.

Aaron Pavez

One of the few wetlands left on Alberta. It's a must. Now in april it's a bit low on water and not much animals or insects to see but the lake itself it's the main attraction. It's big , calm and soothes the soul. Don't miss it.

This is a great place to enjoy the natural beauty for people living in a city. Beautiful colors and lovely birds. Autumn might be the best time to visit.

Kelly

Boardwalks, nature trails, wetlands, wildlife (beaver, marmots, etc) and many varieties of birds. This is truly a hidden gem just minutes outside of Edmonton. Highly recommend this park year round!

Parker Thiessen

Was good, but the BLESS platform was closed

Lis Marie

It’s such a nice area! There’s tons of wildlife, especially different species of birds. There is a lot of parking and once you get inside the trail area, it’s a wetlands so there’s a boardwalk to walk across the water. Keep an eye out for different animals swimming and flying around, you never know what you’ll see! It’s pretty secluded for the most part and after the boardwalk the trail branches off to a paved road which takes you to different lake areas. I recommend going in spring-fall seasons, there’s not much to see in winter.

Bruce Ritchie

I miss this beautiful park. When I lived in St. Albert I would walk the 12km round trip from my house to this park several times a week to see the birds, watch the seasons change, and just enjoy the peace and quiet. The provincial park has trails and This is a fantastic experience on a raised boardwalk over a wetland area. There are washroom facilities here and also picnic tables. There are lots of interpretative information boards about this wetland area along the boardwalk. We visited in the winter time and it was very nice. The only negative was that the boardwalk was very icy so proceed at your own risk.

The ecosystem is ruined. It used to be beautiful. but now you will experience the following : severe human pollution, garbage everywhere, smelly dirty water, over fertilized water, chlorophyta-fully-covered water surface. This is the park/city's delinquency. GREAT JOB ALBERTA! Surprised to find out that a developed country should have such attitude towards the environment. Shocked to see such dirty lake in Canada.
