You will see the feddbacks of people who used the services of Bow Valley Provincial Park - Kananaskis Country (Park) near Alberta (Canada).
Nowadays the firm receives a score of 4.7 stars over 5 and this rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is basically the highest, and it's based on a high number of reviews, so we can be pretty sure that the assessment is very accurate. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to give evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Park is included in the category of Park.
So much beauty. Must check out Many Springs Trail.
Great place to go if you want to avoid line ups and park fees
Mother nature shows off her Ware's.
Beautiful part of Alberta. Lived here for 15 months and will be back to visit many times.
Beautiful drive!
Breathtaking scenery worth the trip!
Breath taking place! Best golf course in Alberta!
Beautiful view of the lake: just like a mirror!
FASCINATING!!! Definitely worth the 1 hour hike!
The paved bike path was awesome with great views, twists turns and elevation changes.
Amazing area white water rafting and amazing places to see
Nice camping spot... But I think 40 $ without including shower (2$ tokens) is a little too expenisve.
Just wow! Way less crowded than Banff National park and as breathtaking if it's not more! Be ready to have your car dirty, but it's all worth it at the end. Probably one of the prettiest place on this planet. A must go for any mountain enthusiastic!
Amazing place! So close to Canmore.
Great place for some amazing day hikes from Calgary.
Awesome place to walk for hours if you like to roam
It's a beautiful natural park with lots of nature wonders????????????
Stay away from this place it's better if I'm there alone
Breathtaking
Canoe meadow is a wonderful place to use your play boat and practice your skills.
Quite windy and the spot we had was on a gravel road. LOTS of dust. Some really nice spots, but you have to reserve really far in advance.
Beautiful place to visit on the way to Banff. Dont miss it
Beautiful mixed use trails for year round activity. Always carry bear spray.
Tons of folks but very scenic.
Excellent park, electricity, sewage, convienance/liquor store, great views twenty minutes East of Canmore!
A hidden gem provincial park. Lots of trail to hike and the scenery is so beautiful the whole year round.
Grassi Lakes Trail. Good short hike for families but can get a little busy. Watch climbers sitting by the lake.
Many Springs and surrounding area is a really nice little walk around in nature.
Amazing and breathtaking views. Tons of activities to do whether you enjoy biking, fishing, horseback riding, canoeing, hiking etc.
Beauty views Ang great place to stretch your legs
Love it when ever need a peace of mind...visit here
wonderful place. Pity for the fire smoke that affected the entire region
One of my favorites great camping close to Banff
Beautiful place within around an hour drive. nice scenes
Always a good day in the park.
Breathtaking views! Best place to hike, drive, bike, camp etc
Nature is so beautiful. Pictures cant do justice. You need to visit
Awesome hiking with varying levels of difficulty.
Beautiful scenes It was cold little bit
They have the shower building closed which is the only toilet faculty for all campers in the F loop. Outhouses are open but very far away in another loop. Concern about public health would logically dictate that toilets should be available when camping. CLOSE OFF THE SHOWER AREA AND LET PEOPLE USE THE TOILETS! Apply some logic!
Oh my god nature is amazing
If you haven't been here, then go no matter where you live. You will not be be disappointed! This is higher then 5 stars!!
Beautiful little campground in the shadow of the Rockies
My favourite place to spend my weekends. There are an endless supply of hiking trails, and lots of lakes if you enjoy activities such as paddle-boarding and boating/rafting. Check out sites such as trailpeak if you are looking for hiking trail ideas in the area, or my blog in my profile has some great descriptions of trails I've completed.
Great location. Great place to connect with nature. The only downside is the proximity of the campsites. The campsites are so close together that you can here your neighbors conversations.
Naaaaature. La da Dee da da da doooo
I love the park but the Alberta Government is strangling it. The Information Centre coming in from Highway 40 has been closed. Many campsites are slated to be closed. Come on guys, this is important.
A great alternative to the popular Banff. Lots of great hikes with incredible magnificent views and hikes for all levels.
Beautiful park close to the city. It can get really busy on weekends. Bring bug repellent!
Great place to go hiking.
West wind pass trail hiking
Close to home yet far enough to feel like youve escaped the city. Many trails and nearby campgrounds. The only downside is that it gets fairly busy and the camp sites are often fully booked.
great location.....quiet and clean
It was a great place for the kids
One of the best views in the world can't get better
Beautiful Mountain provincial park
Still needs a lot of TLC on some of the shorter hikes
Some great and not so great camping sites. I did a drive in no reservation and got a crappy site. If I remember they have coin operated showers
Thank our beautiful national park system. This is another winner.
Always love being in the Mountains..So beautiful
Amazing place!almost magical. The drive through the K country was wonderful.i went there last week(April last week),snowy yet beautiful.
There are a variety of different trails and hikes available, from beginner to experienced, and the scenery is fantastic. A few minutes from Nakiska, and an easy drive from Calgary, it's a great area to get away for a day.
Great family place, lots of hiking and bike trails. Beautiful scenery with mountains and friendly staff
Gorgeous! Took lots of pictures!
Stunning, beautiful and picturesque. Nice place to escape the ordinary and mundane
Hundreds of trails so close to the city
Beautiful place with lots of outdoor stuff to do.
A lovely natural area with gorgeous scenery and abundant wildlife. We didn't stay too long here, but the time we were here gave us plenty of great photos to remember with later.
The facilities are very well maintained and showers are available. Shows are available for children and there is even the chance to participate in them! The paths and playgrounds are kept well maintained. One thing of note is that the sounds of the train track across the river are loud and come every 2 hours or so.
Nice hiking trails
The park was clean, the people friendly, and the setting along the Bow River was absolutely majestic! The site itself was fairly private and it came with a picnic table & firepit, with wood available for purchase. Services could be improved with updated electrical, as 15amp is just too antiquated for most families to run a modern RV on. Laundry facilities are standard in most campgrounds, but were non-existent at this park. Shower facilities were adequate enough, but the notion of putting prepaid tokens into a machine to run the shower is again not really keeping with the times. People want what they pay for. We paid good money and had to book weeks in advance for a government owned and profitable facility that isn't really keeping up with modern standards. We may not bother with provincially owned parks again.
My legs are dead and I'm super tired but I would go back there again tomorrow.
Beautiful scenery, canoeing was awesome, be aware of weather and dress for changeable weather. Bring lots of water and snacks, sunscreen, bug spray and bear spray. They usually post bear activity in the areas affected. Dogs on leash, pickup their and your garbage, be bear safe with your food.
Beautiful macro photography of flowers in the Spring and Summer!
We did a short hike here last weekend. Not anything we have done before but it was quite relaxing and enjoyable. We will do this type of thing again with kids next time for sure.
Great park with trail for all skill and fitness levels
This photo will say it all.
Amazing hiking trails. Great views from the summits. Fantastic time spent.
A brisk morning that really made our drive special. It was great to see some wildlife, big horned sheep. Road conditions where good, and the lake will be great for some it door shinny.
It was just a place on our way to another destination and I am so glad we stopped by this gem. Less crowded and serene.
Very beautiful place. Me and my family loved it.
EXCELLENT! The scenery, pathways, nature, a true testament to Alberta's Rocky Mountains! This was a great place to take the kids for a winter hike!
Beautiful and amazing! Great place to take pictures!
My god..... the views were stunning. I was hiking with a flash light on my phone in dark and i made it to sunrise.... must go
Canmore is really lovely wih lots of good hikes to do. A town surrounded by the mountains, it is quite something.
Fantastic mountains and ski are located within an hour's drive from Calgary . Turn off on highway 40 and you can drive all the way to long view Alberta in the mountains .
Needs more mountain biking
Best and closest place from Calgary to go and just be out in the mountains and enjoy life
A beautiful place for day trips to the mountains. Biking, hiking, boating!
Great place to camp! Beautiful site with a view of the mountains, indoor plumbing with awesome token showers (hot, $2 for 5 minutes), and nice staff who help make your stay great. Keep in mind there is a $12 booking fee so try and think about how many nights you want to stay before you book, or you'll have to pay that fee twice.
Such a great place to visit very clean place and good parking .
Beautiful drive, beautiful park, excellent hikes, great place to get away for the weekend.
Beautiful place to enjoy nature
Wonderful Park. Great to see Alberta putting forward a great Park for recreation and conservation. This park is a great respite after the crowding of the national parks in the Rockies.
Beautiful place. Lots of trees. Privacy between sites. Sites are good sizes.
Nice and clean facilities. Lots of hiking trails around the campsite. Good parks for kids to play. Enough privacy between lots to enjoy yourself but not your neighbours.
The best scenery near home, Calgary.
Plenty of hiking routes from easy to hard and even a paved bike path that can be used for walking in the early spring
Beautiful place to visit. Lots of hiking trails
Gorgeous country in the bow valley and we'll worth the visit. Lots of hikes and things to explore
Beautiful area. Teeming with wildlife and interesting things to hike. Some quiet lakes to practice canoeing.
Amazing scenery everywhere you look
Good little spot. You can hear the traffic though a little but a few great trails around and Kanaskis river is interesting with its fluctuations. Good rate, enjoyable for close to the city, and they have first come first serve with self registration.
It's a good place for work out nice view
Great park. See need fees and instructions to visitors as there are too many idiots who didn't get the message to "carry out what you bring in to the park".
Lots to see and kicking is great.
Great hikes and camping areas.
Nice spot. Would be even nicer without train noise and traffic sounds.
Amazing beautiful place. Had such a memorable experience here. Lots of trails to explore that lead to cool waterfalls. Lots of historic spots to see and interesting historical facts to learn about. There are many campgrounds all with beautiful scenic views. A major flood went through the area a few years back leaving devastating scares of its aftermath everywhere. You may be tempted to help clean up the area by burning all the endless amount of dead wood debris that surrounds the area. This is however frowned upon as we learned in the most hilarious way. Highly recommended spending a few days here with the family and hounds.
Great hike in the mountains
Absolutely beautiful. Words can't describe this place. So close to Calgary/ Cochrane. So many hiking trails and things to do. The park staff are always the best. Lived in the area for 30 years and keep going back.
Great scenery and outdoor feel
Moraine lake is gorgeous. Definitely a must see!
Love visiting Kananaskis. Go here any chance i get
We hiked on barrier trail, unfortunately did not make all the way to the top, not bad if you are hiking first time...i would suggest carry a climb stick if you are novice. Also while descending don't take short routes if its your first time, some of those are so steep and almost have no support of tree etc to stop yourself in case you slip. Overall good experience.
Always enjoy time spent in Bow Valley. Whether hiking, fishing, cycling, or just taking in the views.
This park has multiple campgrounds. We stayed at Lac Des Arcs campground. It is located very close to Hwy 1 near Canmore, Alberta Canada. This campground is located in grass land with a few trees. The campsites are basically mowed circles in the grass with bumpy dirt tracks. The campground road is grass and sand and generally poorly maintained. The sani-sump is located in the main park entrance a short drive from this campground. The water pump in the campground has untreated water not suitable for drinking or cooking. Beach area is muddy and looks polluted with brown foam and scum on the water. There is a nice playground and a small boat launch. This park is too close to the Hwy allowing for road noise in the campsites. Other campgrounds in this park may be better.
It's the front range of the western Rockies offering classic mountain views on the west side and rolling foot hills to the East.
Huge mountains, fresh air, privacy, and awesome trails. What more can I say? It's wonderful.
Always a wonderful time. The park is coming along nicely with all the rain. We packed a lunch and I took my kids for a nice milder walk. Scenery is beautiful and worth the explorations :)
Great place to hike
Gorgeous and everyone was out with their dog.
A lovely drive through this area.
When in Banff / Lake Louise area, you gotta take a trip here to see the magnificent vista of Peyto Lake. Hope the weather is good to you that day!
Loved it. Away from the crowds and madness. More natural. More isolated.
Great place to stop in the mountains just outside of Calgary
Such beautiful scenery and weather!
Amazing. So much to do and see
climbing
Level paths along the river with mountain view.
Great way to get out of the city and commune with the Family in nature
Great place.....just wish we didn't have to pay for it soon....
Beautiful walk by the Bow River.
Beautiful area. Definitely would go again
Beautiful views, venture off the beaten path for a breath taking ridge up at the summet of heart mountain.
Beautiful park
This is a must visit park while in Alberta.
Stunning place. Nature is awesome. Crowds are also something to see...
This was amazing, everything was beautiful and clean and the mountains were epic.
Great place to hike, and enjoy nature!
Absolutely beautiful, close to Calgary, clean sites, water and power, showers. Good hiking trails.
Lovely park setting.
So much to see. Great range of hikes.
Great place with lots of great views. I stayed in Bow River Campground for a weekend, and it was just gorgeous. Plenty of fantastic hikes nearby that are so much less busy than any national park. Definitely some must do hikes here!
40 minutes from NW Calgary. Great get away.
Well worth the view
Very nice place to camp. Not happy about the extra $15 per day "parking/vehicle" permit.
Incredible views and exhilarating motorcycle rides
One of our favorite hiking areas. It's pretty quiet and easily accessible, with many different trails.
What a beautiful area to visit, camp out just take a nice drive.
This right here is one of the many "God's Country" locations in Alberta. So blessed to live here in the great province and country.
Great place to visit and close to Calgary!
Great family hike.
Awesome views. Busy season in July due to Stampede and school holidays.
Everything about this place is worth every star. The natural beauty is unreal, breathtaking and entirely photogenic - the hardest part it trying to figure out which angle to take my photos!
Amazing views highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature
Nice! Amazing vistas
Water is crystal clear, bit chilly but perfect on a hot August afternoon !!
Nice park with a few easy walking trails for smaller children.
Located 50 mins from Calgary, the scenery is spectacular and without a crush of people was a peaceful hike
Never a waste of time. Beautiful and close to YYC
Great place to get back to nature. Bring your boots and pack and go for a hike
A beautiful park on the edge of the Rockies.
So many trails! So much to see!
awesome scenic view
One of the most beautiful places in Alberta. Great for hiking different levels of difficulty, plus the views are simply Breathtaking. Surely a must to visit.
Great place near Banff without tourists! There you can meet locals for sure. Nice views and place next to river where you can lay down on the beach in the sunny weather and chill out ! Love that place !
This is a great piece of nature close to Calgary. There are many great hikes to explore. There are also several provincial campgrounds and many picnic areas. There is also a year round info centre with washrooms, but it appears to be closed on weekends.
It is a very beautiful provincial park.
Great day lodge in between ski runs
Excellent challenge with both hiking & climbing opportunities!
Most beautiful scenery I have come across so far in the Banff area. Highly recommend this as a casual hiking trail.
Great walks and glorious views all round.
A good place to get away from the city but not to far away
Huge National Park worth exploring.
Skip it, go somewhere better like Ontario
Super fun hike. Kids had a blast. The trail splits into 2. Take the harder one, it is so fun!!
A&W like. Some days they get your order right some days not...
Drive up to the lake in winter for some IceFishing
Such a beautiful area to explore
Beautiful area with a really nice information center that has helpful knowledgeable staff.
Went up Prairie View Trail, it's a very easy trail with a great view. Will definitely be bringing new hikers here.
Small spot along the river, perfect for a stroll or a picnic.
We saw 3 bears along our drive on Bow Valley Pkwy.
Great camping and hiking beautiful mountains
Excellent placer formar a quick hike or biking.
If your looking for a peace of mind this is the place! Not so many people and a little bit quiet.
Good place for hiking
Great place for outdoor activities
Nature love ❤❤
Honestly, Almost everything/everywhere in Kananaskis or Bow Valley etc... are 5 stars. Beautiful landscape 360°. Doesn't matter how many times I drive, walk, ride, hike, paddle, run, through the area... it never gets old and it's always breathtaking. Period. Banff, Canmore, Kananaskis, Lake Louise, Jasper, and surrounding areas etc... all bucket list places. Enjoy. You won't regret it. ???????? ** Thank you very much for reading my reviews. I try to review and rate places with as much detail and honesty as possible based on my experiences and opinions. If you appreciate my reviews... please be sure to 'like' them. Thanks again for your time and consideration. ????
Love this place, top ten places in the world in my books !
Worth seeing in the summer not so much in the winter
Beautiful places
Beautiful park, excellent camping and people! Awesome place to go!
Beautiful area and highly recommend visiting! ????
Great time on the water!
The washrooms weren't in service by the time we stayed at the campground, nevertheless, the owner was very friendly and helped us a lot. Amazing view of the river.
We wanted to hike the Flowing Water interpretive trail at Willow Rock campsite off-season. As expected, the campsite was gated off but we parked just off the highway and walked in. Trail was nice after the first snow. I am sure it is a nice campsite to stay at in season.
Beautiful...wonderful day for a drive...
Amazing vistas and lots of paths
Beautiful. I need to spend more time there.
Beautiful lakes & landscape.
Breathe Takingly BEAUTIFUL. I highly recommend to make plans to stop here and reconnect with Natures beauty. Absolutely stunning!
Constant noise from the highways, planes and hourly trains. Overcharging for tiny bundles of wood. Camping spots ranged from quiet and no privacy to cozy and loud.
Nice but campground but lots of highway noise
Great space for a walk and on or off leash dog run.
A wonderful walk close to nature with beautiful views
A Beautiful place. Feels underrated. Perhaps more incentive for a bit infrastructure and local busyness.
Nice moderate hike.
A little tight around corners if you are driving a large unit. The campground is beautiful.
What a beautiful walking area. When you are in Canmore, make sure you come here!.
We had a great time at this beautiful campground. Fun bike trail that are along the bow river. Very private sites. Full hook up.
Awesome place
A huge amount of great hikes.
Do you like scrambling, rock climbing and mountain biking? No? Awesome more for me!
My sister and I took a vacation and did the horseback riding tour around bow valley. We got a quick introduction and we waited for our horses. The guides were enthusiastic and informative. They made our first time horseback riding a great one. I look forward to doing it again! Thank you ❤️
Hiked Three Sisters Creek by the mountain, an easy hike, very enjoyable for kids, nice trail, fairly quiet , a nice little creek
The journey goes on ,, such a beautifull place to go for a hike
The beauty of nature. My head swells at the beautiful sight.
One of Alberta's natural beauties
We hiked MacDonald. Of all our climbs I would say this one was easily the most beautiful. The trail varies in scenery more than any of the other ones we did and its rock field is incredible. If you want a challenge, but you don't want to …
Beautiful spot for a hike or a MTB ride
The dropped pin on the map doesn’t lead to anywhere. We followed the recommended route by google and leads to a dead end. P.S I’m sure the actual park is beautiful
Love the mountains and scenery is always beautiful
One of our favourite camping areas. Not too far from YYC, but far enough to feel like you're in a different world. Really nice campgrounds. Decent hiking and biking.
A nice place to visit and train for the season
So many beautiful views and adventures :)
Excellent, beautiful views, calm relaxing. Great place to recharge.
Words cant describe how beautiffull this place is.
Beautiful place with a variety of great hikes!
Great campground, need more showers but we survived. Nice reception. Friendly workers
Good views, good hiking
Very short trip out of Calgary. The site is heavily treed and the sites are spaced for some privacy.
Will be back!
Pretty good place to visit with family friends or by yourself
Great spot for large group camping
Beautiful place, the people are extremely nice!
One of my favourite places to bike or have a picnic
Great return of interesting sights compared to effort put in.
A gorgeous hike, worth the time!
Easy to access but get here early if you need parking.
Do it, go there!
Great Campground in a magnificent location. It sits beside the Bow River East of Canmore. I have been dreaming of Paddling to it from Exshaw or Canmore and finish at my tent trailer. I love this area and my family enjoys using the trails in the area. plenty of Family friendly options.
And perhaps someday we could adventure to the mountains? Anyways, I seem to have gone somewhat off topic in looking up future plans, but I suppose that's a nice thought too. Hope you've had a nice daydream about it : ) Happy Valentines !
Incredible. Breathtaking spot not too far from Calgary.
One of the most beautiful places in the world
This is a nice place please and check on my youtube channel
I love this place. So close to Calgary. Right next to the river. Only complaint is the noise from the tourist helicopter. Always busy so need to reserve online.
Beautiful place, drive up the gravel road for more!
Mesmerizing view and ambience
Nice small park not far away from Trans Canada Highway
Very scenic views of mountains on a snowy day.
Great place lived by it for a few years quite during weekdays
As owner of A Laptop Shoppe I frequent this park it is clean and the scenery is beautiful. Enjoy this place which is very close to Calgary you will enjoy it.
Great place for hike, walk, bike or family time
One of the few camping spots outside Kananaskis Country. Showers available.
Saw Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep. The lesser known Canadian Rockies.
Kananaskis country is awesome, loving coming out here. The park facilities are well maintained and the views are incredible.
Ha- Ling peak was excellent!! A moderately strenuous hike with loads of payoff at the top . Beautiful views !
Nice park with great private-ish sites
Great walking paths for all ages. They have paved and gravel trails with washrooms along the way. The trails were all marked clearly and there are a few maps to guide the way. Plus trail maps are available on line. Also lots of great views and spots for pictures of the mountains and local wildlife.
Right where the foothills meet the Rocky Mountains. Some great campgrounds and hikes without having to pay for a park pass in Banff. Yamnuska is a popular hike with amazing views.
wonderful place for a hike
Lots of great hiking choices in this area.
Nice trails and walks
Serene, wooded, secluded, on the beautiful, rushing Bow River.
A lovely campground on there edge of the mountains, just far enough from the highway to avoid the noise.
Prairie view/Jewel pass route provides excellent views of Barrier lake, a little smoky this year though
Another great Alberta Provincial Park. We had electric at the site. Nice clean washrooms. Lots of walking trails , There was also a sani-dump at this park.
Yep, I come back here over and over on my motorbike, love the location, love the view, love the ride out, hate the price to stay overnight tho...it's spendy but trendy...
Absolutely gorgeous. Great views, great hikes.
I strongly recommend to visit, it's very beautiful.
Beautiful
Excellent hiking and snowshoe trails for the whole family
The most peaceful small lake in the mountains in this area. Free for use bbq and picnic tables. Bring coals and what you will need to light them. We bbq'd jumbo shrimp and tenderloin while enjoying the serenity.
The facilities are good. Trails are well marked, paved with washrooms along the way.
Awesome place... has everything ... and is really close to Calgary
Stoney Trail around barrier lake, about 9 km in and out, easy walk, can be heavily trafficked
It is so peaceful and right by the water.
Beautiful park, great scenery! Highly recommend!
Great for a drive, but pull over if you want to enjoy the sights, some people drive like their car runs on molasses. Can make it a dangerous road with cars having limited spots to pass slowpokes.
Spectacular view! Grounds were exceptionally clean and well maintained!
Bow Valley PP and Neighbor Spray Lakes PP are two hidden gems. Just *gorgeous* views, great hiking/skiing.
First time visiting, definitely will return
Its Beautiful out there!!! Will definitely be going again.
Amazing views
I love coming out to Bow Valley Provincial Park! The scenery is gorgeous between the mountains and valleys and the river. There's also plenty of opportunities for physical activity with hiking, biking, camping and climbing areas all within the Bow Valley.
Good lake with a view of mountains
Peaceful quiet evening away from the non stop traffic in the city
Beautiful and a great walk
Great walks along the river. Fun bridges.
Such a great campground and park altogether. Will be back next year for a longer stay!
Nice easy trail with a very hidden waterfall at the end. Google map directions need to be updated for this because it made drive past the exit I should've taken only to double back. By the time I realized that I could've just taken the west bound exit from the highway I was going too fast and in the wrong lane to do anything about it.
Awesome place with gorgeous views.
Beautiful, expansive, tons of hiking and other activities. It would take years to use this place up.
Beautiful highly recommend checking this park out if you're in the area. Hiking, biking and backpacking is what you come here to do!
Beautiful - only complaint is almost the whole is 30km/ph
Really beautiful place. Would highly recommend Jura Creek.
Easy access from Calgary. Beautiful scenery.
Lots of great hikes and scenery
This small park located entirely inside the city of Canmore has a great trail system, some paved and some shale, and is good for travelling along the Bow River on foot or bike.
Very scenic drive. Always a comfortable cruise years after years!
Mountains! Outdoors! Need I say more!
Year round heaven on earth. Highly recommend in spring ❤
I love this area! The hiking trails are amazing.
Woods not included! So take wood with you otherwise you have to buy a bag for 15$ Very quite place and not very far from Calagry.
Ha Ling Sunset Hike in the Winter. Sunset was hidden behind the clouds and yet a beautiful hike all season.
Gorgeous view ♡
Very beautiful area. Quite a few people though. I try to avoid weekends.
This is a beautiful Provincial Park in the Rocky Mountains between Calgary and Canmore. It's well worth Enjoying.
Beautiful landscapes and great hiking!
Great views. Lots of hikes, scrambles, and skiing
Hiking couldn't be better than this. A must be visited place!
The park is beautiful. You can also access the Trans Canada Trail from here.
Amazing park with incredible views of the Bow River and Canadian Rockies
The Campground is very nice! We watched the interpretive show was very entertaining and informative.
Do I have to say more?! This place is serene, relaxing, and stress free nature in the Canadian Rockies. You go to take the Grassi Lakes hike. Loved this placed. Don't forget your camera and hiking boots. Bring a bottle of water or two.
Nice camping close to calgary
If you rate this place as anything less than five stars, you are a monster and have no heart. Beautiful through and through.
Awesome! Healthiest drinkable spring water in the world! ???? ????
nice park, breath taking views. amazing place must go
A beautiful part of the world with stunning mountains surrounding the bow valley, great bike trails and water access for kayaking and canoeing
Stellar place absolutely worth a visit.
We live the in lane of the best countries in the world
Absolutely amazing if you haven't seen this yet it needs to go in your bucket list
So beautiful, great hiking, take an Alberta break!
Lake levels were very low when visited but beautiful cliffs surrounding the lake
Great park for kids and parents
So many places to go hiking, picnics or just a nice drive
No shortage of hiking to do. Trails for all experience levels and durations.
Large beautiful campground that was wonderful to camp at. Has both powered and non-powered sites with plenty of brush between sites.
Great place to visit while in Banff. Had a nice scenic hike.
The wifi is pretty slow
Drove through, the scenery was spectacular as was the quality of the air you breathe. We didn't hit a deer which was nice, though on the other hand, didn't the see any animals period. Hence the four star rating.
Great place to go to get away from every day life well kept property friendly staff
The Upper and Lower Grassi Lakes lie at an elevation of about 1,525 m (5,003 ft) in the southern Canadian Rockies overlooking the town of Canmore, Alberta. They receive their water from the Spray Lakes Reservoir on the Spray River. The land is part of the Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park, which is part of the Kananaskis Country park system.
Jaw dropping scenery and hikes. The hike was generally easy and the views are unparalleled.
Puir Nature.private sites, good price, water front.toilet bad and smelly. We stayed in our trailer so didn't use them.the river is magnificent.
Great place for easy, family hikes. Or just relaxing on the lake shore or by the Bow.
Just go here. If you don't like it, you left your soul back in your sock drawer.
Beautiful landscapes, trails and so much more,
What's not to love about Canmore? The mountains are here, the snow is here, there are places to hike and eat. The national parks are great to visit, but if you just want to get away from Calgary for a few hours Canmore will make it worth your while.
We love to go to this beautiful Provincial park, the views are espectacular, we enjoy the serenity of this place! Great place to enjoy with family.
Beautiful place. Can't take my eyes off of nature
Beautiful provincial park to hike and have some quality time with friends and family. Very scenic and full of many trails one can take. Spent a day hiking with a friend and we were just amazed by the scenic view.
Scenic - picture perfectBeautiful place, three lakes - Lakes Johnson, Bow and Minnewanka. Nice place for camping, trekking, bicycling.... wonderful,
This place is amazing to just be u know. Nice view and vibe
Awesome scenery. Note to anglers: be sure to check your location and fishing license. There are Provincial and Park licenses and those are different!! Thankfully the Ranger issued a ticket that would go into a effect if a current license wasn't presented. A quick trip to the park office and the proper license was purchased.
Bow Valley is beautiful and the falls is a great stop to make.
Breath taking views, and always a new adventure
Doesn't get more beautiful than this!!
Beautiful and not as crowded as its neighbour Banff national park.
One of the best provincial parks if only for how close it is to the rest of Banff without tourists.
My home. Be nice, be respectful, be considerate or get the eff out.
Did west winds pass, shorter hike but very pretty
Water, views and cycle paths. A great playground for all ages!
Top notch spot for a picnic. Quiet and peaceful with a great view.
Absolutely amazing place. Challenging but worth it. Bring water!
Great park to visit. I would recommend to anyone for a beautiful picture.
Serene, safe, secure and substantially beautiful natural park. A must visit when in Banff Canmore
Amazing trail. Leg burner . Roughly 4 hours up and down depending on oace
Great place to relax and the people who work here are so friendly. Always enjoy myself
Nice place to enjoy nature, camp, hike. Trains running by all night long is a little annoying.
Love this place clean and quiet.
Great hiking and beautiful scenery
Great hikes and activities!
Beautiful setting but crowded. But that's to be expected during a holiday.
Fantastic Park. Lots of hiking and trails to do. It you are an outdoors person. Spend an evening here exploring,
Must seen. Excellent photo place.
Me and my girlfriend decided to take a road trip down the back roads and ended up here...one in a million views and plenty of spots for hiking, though we didnt stop very much along the way if your bored on a weekend this is a beautiful way to spend a sunday. Get off your phone off the coucn and GO!!
Beautiful sites and hiking.
Great park with not too many people. Very quiet with beautiful views
Love It! Quieter than Banff but just as beautiful
A little busy but still always pleasant.
Great place would like to see again!!!!????
The Kananaskis wildlife loop was superb! Will do it again. Just be careful on road signs since the loop back to Canmore is not clearly marked, so its better to ask around. The GPS may work, but cell phone connectivity is zero. Some great viewing points on this trail. The part that loops back to Canmore is good quality gravel road, but nevertheless tread carefully.
Hiking, fishing, camping, biking... Great outdoor experiences await you.
Nice winter hike. This general area of Kananaskis is spectacularly beautiful. Many great hikes near by.
Trans canada highway traffic way to loud.
Stunning.....so many great hikes and places to relax.
I absolutely love this place but so much has changed in a very short time. Another Canadian attraction that nickels and dimes you to death but after they do their best to empty your bank account. Way over priced for everything.
Stay away from tourist crowd and avoid park pass, this is equally beautiful for weekend getaways. More wildlife so be cautious if hiking alone.
Beautiful views! Go here, now!
Great hike, missed the fire look out, still awesome views.
Always a blast out here ????????????
Come during the week as it is very busy on weekends as expected. Great dog park!
Well situated for hiking, though there is significant train noise. The campground is well treed. There is considerable variation size and proximities of sites. There are lots of trees and a playground as and amphitheater. Fills up very quickly when reservations open, and it can be hard to find sites.
This is a great place to see and feel nature
Nice and quiet..off the beaten path
A nice place to walk with the wife and dogs
Great place to visit
Great place for having a picnic, hiking and just enjoying the views.
The only complaint I had was the sound of train. Over all, it was a really good campsite. We had a good view of the waterfront.
Grassi Lakes is awesome during the Christmas time. Few people and didn't get frozen.
Canmore is a town in Alberta which is a great place for outdoor activities set the most beautiful Valley it has breathtaking views
beautiful
Very nice camp ground
Great views, nice walk and great facilities. A must for every visit!
Buller lake is a favorite for many years for us . Worth a Sunday drive at least twice a year once for snowshoeing and once for pictures like these
After flood water fall is not attractive as before but still a very beautiful place
Nice for camping
So many good hikes and plenty of wildlife
Garbage everywhere including toilet paper. Really disgusting
Beautiful natural surroundings. Great for a photo shoot
Excellent camping before having to pay for the pass on june 1st
Great for hiking, biking or just enjoying the amazing scenery.
Great hike with fantastic views
For a super fun outdoor experience, try rafting from the Widow Maker parking lot. You can take a guided tour with one of many rafting outfits or just rent the gear from the U of C Outdoor Centre.
Beautiful place to walk/hike around.
Stunning scenery & tranquility.
It's very noisy coming from the traffic at Trans-Canada Highway. Bathrooms needs improvement in keeping it clean.
Love the scenery, the hike was not too challenging to get up to this viewpoint, little bit steep half way through for a short distance.
Located between Kananaskis park & Banff park, it's at the eastern edge of the Rockies. Bow Valley park is also near Canmore. Beautiful mountain views, great day hikes, picnic areas and campgrounds make it worth the visit!
Great information Center and view point
Located outside of Banff , the beauty of the area does not come through in photos. The fresh mountain air and the sounds must be experienced
Really nice overall! Great place for a picnic
Great place for camping, or just a day hike. Tons of great trails for explorers of all ages.
awesome, beautiful short hike
Great place to go and chill
Lots to see and do. Great area to do a little bit of exploring by car bike or hikes.
Nice area with good access.
Great hiking places. Would be awesome to have some "Huetten" like in Austria.
Very nice provincial park, the only thing I would point out which may not be obvious is that the Lac des Arcs Campground is basically right beside the highway 1.
For camping it is a good place with hikes and bike trails. Best to have a reservation.
Great place for hiking, walking, just being outdoors.
Awesome place to camp, lots of fishing, hiking, sight seeing. The campground is very clean, and quiet. The sites are decently private with lots of trees and wildlife. 4 dump stations on the way out of the park, little convenience store on site. Some sites have 30amp service, some have 15amp. Water on some sites also and available throughout the entire campground. Pit toilets spread out through the campground as well. Worth every penny!
Super dog friendly hike which is quite easy for beginners. The farther you make it the tougher it gets. We had notice that people were rock climbing with what looked to be a guide. All in all a great day hike close to the city.
Very peaceful nature hike. Great for families with small kids. My son and daughter are 10 and 3 respectively and they did it no problem. There is a really cool suspension bridge too. If your a mountain biker you will like this trail even more.
Great hike for kids, waterfall at the end is a little tricky to get to for a good view, some bouldering required (may not be good for those with a fear of heights)
I hiked the Prairie View trail and the views at the top we're amazing!
I went heart mountain at the summit by feet But hard to top area because of strong wind ,deep snow. It is scrambling.
Best rock climbing in alberta
Truly worth the price for the experience, best to visit at low peak times
The hike up to Mt Lady MacDonald is absolutely worth the view.
Amazing place, on a side road to the trans Canadian highway, but part of the national park. Baker creek is a set of log cabins on the road but close to the ski area of Lake Louise.
Wonderful! Can't describe what a great place this is.
Beautiful place to be ..biking..camping
Here is the secret: Kananaskis country (which includes Bow Valley) is the real rocky mountain experience. If you want to hike, climb, fish, etc. Skip the crowds, park fees, and sold-out accommodations of Banff National Park and go to K-Country instead!
Awesome views, trails, lakes, interpretive stops, etc.
Enjoyed our lunch with a beer. Friendly people.
Makes a beautiful drive on the way to Banff
This is the place togo if you like camping...mountains, river and fresh air...Loved It...will go again
Excellent place for camping hiking and picnic.
Nothing compares to the Canadian Rockies. Absolutely breath taking views. You will never be bored here. A must-see Canadian landscape. Wildlife is abundant!
Always beautiful.
google maps gqve us wrong directions but it was lov3ly when we founnd it
Beautiful place, excellent scenery and lovely lakes. Grassi trail is beautiful choice for those like hiking.
Best place for nature lover
One of the most beautiful places in Canada. The mountains and the hiking is exquisite. Can't miss if in Alberta. The views and the trails are absolutely unparalleled by anywhere else in the world. There is so much to do that you could take a trip here for weeks or even months. I would absolutely recommend a trip here to anyone interested in being out in nature.
Whole of the Bow Valley is full of scenic areas. If you are coming from distant areas, must take at least 1 week off.
One of Canada's best parks. Perfect option for those who want to explore the Rockies but avoid the big crowds of Banff. Tons of great hiking trails and sightseeing spots.
We went to the grassi lakes. It's an easy hike, but the trail is under a constant slope which can make it heavy.
Everything was in great shape. General store had great supplies.
I love the foothills. Park has nice camping sites and access to great hiking
It's a very beautiful place to see!!!
So beautiful. Will come again. Worth to come
Yamnuska trail. Nice climb.
Awesome place. Great stay.
Good place for a family dog walk.
Another beautiful place. How can you go wrong with all the scenery.
Beautiful, and scenic with lots of fun activities available. Extremely crowded year round though.
A great Canadian treasure! Love the scenery
Worth the trip, wonderful scenery
Spectacular and stunning views
Great place to take the family.
Nice place to visit in summer in Banff area
All the of Kananaskis parks are worth visiting
The scenery is breathtaking and the hiking trails are great
Awesome view
Nice park. Lots of family-friendly trails.
Worth the raft tour. The tour guide was ready to answer our questions. Good history lesson for my daughter
Awesome scenery!
A beautiful 10k hike. Gentle slopes, beautiful scenery on both hard packed gravel or asphalt pathways.
Kananaskis country in great for camping, mountain biking, hiking, White water kayaking, climbing and generally chilling out with the sharp features of a young mountain range as your backdrop!
Went camping and had a great time! Stayed at McLean Creek campground
Great place to camp, easy access and very close to canmore.
Lots of hikes, easy or difficult. Something for everyone.
Been camping here for over 20 years. One of the best campsites in southern AB
Horrible roads. Full of potholes
Beauty
It has amazing views from the trails
Saw some mountains, would recommend.
Loved it. Nice hike, good picnic area and awesome view at evening.
First time on the trails. Well marked and maintained. Great challenge.
Nice roomy sites. Outdoor playgrounds.
Beautiful scenery any time of the year.Might even see some wildlife so be a little on guard.
Stunning scenery and views. Worth going to
Awesome mountain views very good road for cars to drive on
Nice campground close to Calgary. Usually very busy
You have to experience it to fully appreciate it. Always amazing that you are less than an hour from Calgary
Thanks for letting this adventure places expedition
a good campground.all round.
Love this park. Very peaceful and heavenly place. Not crowded on the weekdays. Good place to bring a kayak.
Spectacular views and absolutely one of the world's most beautiful places.
Some of the best hikes & best views!
Good place to visit, but the trail is in bad shape so when coming here drive slow
Beautiful place yo go on adventures..
Loved it! Sat by the lake while the fish jumped! It was awesome! Nice and warm day in June! Beautiful area and cool experience!
It's the bow Valley! What more can you say
Yeah I walked the valley of the shadow of bow, I felt the evil only of the politicians who spoiled this great valley to get the money from people more evil to line their pockets.
Fantastic weather and scenery for hike today.
Great place with a lot natural scene and wild life
Great hike! I'm 68 and in average shape. It was tough, but do-able. This is important. Do the hard trail up and the easy trail back down.
beautiful. God's creation is awesome!
It looks so beautiful, and you can always see wildlife.
It's a great place to come especially if you are a nature lover but then make sure you go as early as possible in the morning. Any time after that becomes a nightmare with thousands of tourists and no place to park.
Therapeutic!!
Beautiful and clean. Lots of nice paths and trails
Very nice and not a lot of people
We had an awesome time
Beautiful area. Great for camping and hiking.
Amazing park so much to see and do! Very beautiful and scenic
Quite noisy as it is right beside highway 1. But it's only 5min to downtown Canmore.
Good elevation to get nice view. Fairly easy hike.
Great back country area for snowshoeing. Great time!!!
Its a great get away from the Rat Race place. They only take reservations though.
Beautiful place, but if you are looking for a quiet place (at summer) this is not the place.
