Was advised 3 weeks for refurb. Called at 5 weeks was told they would definitely be done by the end of the next week and that they would call me. By the end of week 6 at 1300hrs I had not received a call. So I called in to pick them up. They hadn't started on them. I can obviously not comment on their workmanship. However their customer service needs considerable improvement - KEEP THE CUSTOMER INFORMED especially when you are late. NB. In the UK this is done as a same day service and the quality is good.

I am now prepping to get the car back out on the road. I sent in an email in the evening, received a quote first thing in the morning. I was told 3-5 business days and it took 2. Excellent repair job on my beemer. I was driving from Vancouver to Ottawa and on my 4300km journey I bent/cracked my rear wheels. Air was leeaking fast and I had to use 2 cans of Stop-Leak foam to get by. When in Ottawa I went to these guys and they fixed me up in just one day!! I then drove back to Vancouver and wheel repair still holds just fine, no air leaks. Also outstanding wheel balance, I strongly recommend to go here for perfect wheel balance. It beats Canadian Tire Road Force balance. A+++

I cracked a rim removing it from my truck and emailed Dickson, he replied to me within an hour on Saturday and further followed up with more information on Sunday. I cant say enough good things about this company, they fixed a cragar rim years ago and nobody could even tell that it was ever damaged. Great service and outstanding customer service. They did a fantastic job on the wheels. My problem is that it took them nearly 5 weeks to do 2 wheels and I had to keep calling to get updates. They originally said they would have them ready in 2 weeks. I can understand that they are busy during the season, but i put a lot more wear on my winters only because they weren't done on time.

I was extremely happy with the service I received from Alloy Wheel Repair. I purchased a used set of alloys that were in terrible shape and contacted 3 repair places for a quote to get them reconditioned. One of them never got back to me, one of them got back to me 2 days later with very minimal information, but Alloy Wheel Repair got back to me the same day with all the information I asked for. They told me all of the costs upfront (fixing bends, painting and mounting/balancing the tires) so there were zero surprises. They were quick to communicate with me back-and-forth during the process and finished the job fast even though I said it wasn't a rush. Their workmanship is amazing and my horrible used wheels now look better than brand new! I've already referred one friend to them and will certainly be recommending them to many more people.

These guys are total pros. Banks Street Hyundai had replaced both of my front tires and failed the balance them at the time, and "attempted" to balance them when I went back a second time. That's when they told me I had a bent rim that would need to be fixed. Turns out the rim wasn't bent, but the wheels still weren't balanced properly which these guys took care of. Fast service, for prices and tons of expertise.

Awesome! Is all I can say about this place. I brought in 4 rims from my GTR that all had curb rash on them from previous owner. They got them all repaired faster than the estimated time and at a fair price too. Nissan Dealership where I got the car inspected before purchasing quoted approx $2000. I want to truly thank the staff at Alloy Wheel Repair for my great experience I had today! Before being recommended to call this company, I was prepared to pay $430 for a new wheel after hitting a pot hole. But thank goodness I called Alloy Wheel first as they agreed to try and refurbish my wheel. They not only gave me an immediate appointment but were able to fix my wheel and save me over $300.00. The staff was so friendly and they even offered to put on my new tire and rim for a reasonable fee on the spot. I will definitely be recommending this business to friends and family! I am sure I am not alone when I say that I didnt know that wheels/rims could be refurbished so easily and so cost effectively!

By far the best shop in Ottawa for any of your rim repairs, powder coat, polishing, machining, and any custom needs. The team brought my old beat up BMW rims back to life, making them a custom 1 of 1 set. The powder-coat finish is beyond what I expected. The team at Allow Wheel Repair are also super fast with quick turn around time and very professional. Pricing was also very fair given the amazing work they did. My rims look even better than the day they were manufactured. Wheels: BMW Style 66, diamond finished machine lip, chrome shawdow anthracite faces.

I bent a rim as it’s pot hole season. It was gonna cost me $500 to replace it but the Volkswagen dealer referred me to come here. They were able to schedule me within 24 hours of calling and responded quickly to emails. They asked for photos of the rim before I came in to ensure it was reparable and I didn’t waste my time. Cost me just $203 all in and it only took an hour or two. It seemed like the employee genuinely cared to make conversation, get to know me as a customer. The only con was that they charged $10 just to put the wheel back on the car which I had to ask for. I expected them to put it on for me as I obviously didn’t want to continue driving with the small back up tire.

Be CAREFUL!!! New Shop Ownership I brought my car in for a rim fix ! Got the car back to find out my locknuts and tool were GONE and replaced with standard bolts! Found empty “tool” sack in my truck and NO lock nuts on my rims!! They completely denied they changed them out!! And kept questioning if I was sure if I actually had any, but they left the empty “sack” in the open trunk area. Check your lock nuts when u leave !! Don’t leave anything worth value in the car (you shouldn’t anyways). Be aware !!! Never ever again will I come here again and or refer the service..

My wife and I were travelling from Gatineau back to Guelph when we ran into an issue with our front wheel. In late spring, I hit a pretty major pothole with the front right wheel of the Jag and bent the rim. It was leaking and needed air every few days. I was stalling to get a repair until I was able to find someone who would do a good job. On September 3rd, while in Gatineau, I managed to find another pothole on Quebec's immaculately manicured roads (ha). By Friday morning, the rim decided that it wasn't going to hold air for more than a few minutes. We managed to switch to the spare and called around to some shops. Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists-Ottawa, was recommended by more than a few, including CAA and Jiffy Lube in Gatineau. I called over and explained our situation. Given that we were a long way from home and It was a long weekend to boot, I didn't have high hopes that it would be done that day. I was wrong. I was told by the staff to bring the car over right away. We arrived 40 minutes later and were told to grab some lunch and give them an hour. Just over an hour later, we got back as they were finishing up. They had repaired the rim, which was bent by over .3 inches, balanced and remounted the tire. They even cleaned it all up and put the spare back in its place! They explained to me how they had accomplished the repair, talking about the different alloy compositions of the different wheels and what it took to properly fix them. I was very impressed. The final bill was quite reasonable, and I was more than happy with the staff, service and the quality of the work that was done. After driving home and driving on the wheel for the last week, I can attest that they did an excellent job! I highly recommend Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists of Ottawa!

They replied almost instantly to all queries I had and were more than happy to answer all questions. They even did some extra services for us to ensure that we were satisfied. Brought in my 19 inch M sport rims with severe curb rash and deep scuffs worried that id need to buy a new rim. The guys over at alloy wheel repair assured me that it was repairable and explained the process of how they go about repairing it. The finished product was absolutely amazing looked better than New, they got the color right and it has the right amount of luster. You could not tell the rim is off a car with 100K+ Km.

I was visiting from Toronto last Christmas and hit a massive pothole in Ottawa causing my whole car to shake pretty bad, the guys at Alloy Wheel Repair straightened my wheel while I waited. I was referred to Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists by a friend after my mechanic advised me one of my rims was bent. I knew exactly how this happened and I was at fault. After accepting responsibility I brought my vehicle into Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists to have the wheel straightened. The quote was higher than I expected but I was being unrealistic and this was by far the most affordable option. Fortunately, after testing the wheel, they determined that the tire was damaged and the rim was still intact. They even confirmed that the rim was balanced before remounting. They wouldn't accept payment for their time and expertise so I made a donation to the Timmies Fund instead.

Had a cracked rim. They have welded it for 200$. A year later same rim cracks again. Gave it again for the welding for 200$. Third year the same wheel cracks again. I told them that it cracked at different place each time, but now I'm not so sure. Perhaps it has been cracking at the same spot and i should have argued and got myself a free wheel repair. Anyway, this time they suggested to get me the new wheel (matching the ones i have). Waited for 1 month. Their supplier promised the wheel but never delivered. Oh well, can't blame them really. Then I've been told on Tue that the wheel will be completed on Thu or by Fri at the latest, so i made plans for the weekend, but nope. They finished the wheel only Mon :-( Though after a month of waiting they could have finished it earlier for me. But it's OK I can live with that. I installed the wheel and it turned out TPM sensor isn't working. It was in the wheel they welded... I called in and have been told to buy a sensor and they would refund me. Sounds good, right? Bought sensors on Ebay, bought 2 because price for one would be cheaper that way. Received the sensors called them again asked if they could install it. Yes they can! Great! I came over with my sensors, they installed it pretty quickly. New sensor works and proves that it was the welded wheel's sensor not working. So now the refund, right? :-) Nope... Now they say that they are careful with sensors and never brake them... Really??? At the end they agreed to the 50$ credit next time i come in to weld my wheel :-( If they keep their word of course... They can brake your TPM sensor. They'll tell you otherwise. Show them this post! Probability is 33% :-) Out of 3 repairs they broke it once. I have mixed feelings. They seemed to treat me well, but the same wheel they repaired cracked 3 times (maybe at the same spot - good luck proving that to them)... That's a bit worrisome, isn't it? Each time I paid 200$. Busted the sensor and decided to accept the full responsibility at first but then changed their mind (good thing they installed the sensor though). What do you think they are going to tell me about 50$ credit if I come in next time?

After reading the google reviews I brought my wheels over on Monday Feb. 26 and on March 1st I got an email saying that my wheels were ready. Two needed to be straightened and one of them had some scratches; the scratches are now magically gone! These were my summer wheels, I don't foresee any problems but will post again in a month when I put them on. My car was shaking noticeably after hitting a pothole in Montreal. The guys at the shop are very nice and easy to deal with. I know where to go if I ever need these kind of services again. Strongly recommended! Update April 19th. I had my new wheels installed.
