Shane, Brandy and the entire crew put in overtime to get our job finished on time and on budget. As is frequently the case there were a few extras and some unforeseen details to address once work started but Shane was very clear on what was covered by the contract and what was going to be optional extras. Communication was clear and concise. I was thrilled that i could "set it and forget it." With the crew. One very quick orientation and walk thru was all it took to get started and i was able to head off to work and leave them to their jobs and an extra early start was no problem. Bonus: They were also very accommodating regarding available parking and building access in a busy high rise apartment building.10/10 Would paint again

Oct 2021 - Using WOW 1 Day Painting has been a very positive experience. From the online quote system to the follow-up, pre- and post job communication, everything was very smooth and professional. Even with a small job (as this was) Jack was quick in responding to any questions. The painter, Stu, was on-time, professional, and finished the job efficiently. I've used WOW in the past and each time the experience has been very positive. Highly recommend their service. (April 2019) I recently had WOW 1-day (Vancouver) remove the popcorn ceiling and paint our entire condo which is over 1,400 sq. ft. The entire experience has been very pleasant and efficient. Lee and his crew showed up on time, gave a detailed quote the same day, and were accommodating my schedule to tie in with other renos happening in the unit. The crews, headed up by Justice, came exactly on time, worked fast removing the popcorn and painting the ceiling in 2-days. They came back to do all the walls, again in 2 days. I had other quotes to compare for this job and had used WOW 1-day in the past (different franchise owner). Each time I've used them I was impressed with the response to the request for the work (sometimes contractors can appear to be less than enthusiastic about doing a job) and have no hesitations to recommend this franchise team.

WOW MAKING AMENDS - Since my last review 2 weeks ago, Mike has been in touch with me and fully apologetic at the botched job and stress caused. They had a few glitches at their head office and he didn't get my correct number to call. Eventually they got it right. And since Mike returned to see the damages in person, he has made every solid attempt to 'fix' the issues. They have now repainted my entire one wall in the dining/living room, a new painter arrived and also washed the other wall in the living room, and she removed the large wall painting that got acid splashed on it to see if they can get it cleaned or restored - it's over 20 years old that I bought from an artist in Stanley Park when they still had artists and polar bears roaming around. My other leather and wood chairs have been wiped down again. Plus he refunded my entire cost without me ever asking. I'm still smarting from the sloppy worker that came initially but Mike and Brandy have since restored my faith in a local business trying to make good with their customers. Thank you Mike! You are a huge asset and credit to WOW 1 Day Painting in Vancouver. March 2 -These folks did not respond to my initial enquiry. When the "Mike" person showed up he appeared nice and helpful in order to get our business. We were deceived! We were told the worker(s) would move furniture and place down drip cloths. I now have oxalic acid stains (jagged white rings) on both leather couches and drips down my walls in the living room and dining room! We called them and had to leave a message. Mike did not return the call to my partner, not me, until 13 days later and that was the day after I called their head office to share my displeasure. I phoned again and left a message. That was over a week ago now - 9 days. And you guessed it - still no call back. Not even an apology for the sloppy work. I am not happy and would never recommend this company to anyone. I am a North Shore resident and very dissatisfied. I feel cheated out of $500 for a half day's work on their part. They've ruined my furniture!

There was a communication issue which is resolved now but possibly a bit too late. I can't comment on the actual work but others seem to like them. There are many professional painting companies, but what I really enjoy about wow1day is that they treat me like a human, and a friend, and still hold their work to the highest of standards. It was a cold day and I asked if I could stay in the apartment while they worked. Not only were they ok with that, they included me in the painting process and talked to me all day and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process. My place looked awful and now it’s a home. Will always use wow1day!

We just moved into a new rental and wanted to change the colour of our master bedroom. Usually we DIY these kinds of things (we’ve painted many rooms by ourselves in the past) but didn’t have the time or energy, so we considered hiring a company to do it for us. Brandy, Mel, Rachel, Pieter, Mike, Michael, Fionan, Cian, and Athiena showed up on time and painted my entire newly-purchased 2100 sq foot house interior in one day, including the entryway with an 18 foot ceiling height. Price was as had been quoted, and job was done to a high standard. Edges were sharp and care was taken not to damage new floors/carpeting that had just been installed. Friendly and fun crew, did the job and cleaned up afterward. Will definitely use WOW again!

Allena was the sales rep that helped us, and she herself had a background in interior design. She was super personable, and we trusted her to provide feedback and suggestions. Days after the estimate, she even sent me a text (this was prior to us even confirming if we would go with them) sending pictures of inspiration based on our conversation. As mentioned, the only reason we didn't go with this company was our budget, however we would recommend anyone looking to get paint done to add this company to your list of estimates, and if you're luck, hopefully you get to work with Allena. She was amazing!!!!

Jerome was friendly and respectful and kept me up to date on progress throughout the day and even invited me back halfway through to assess. I was introduced to both the painters which were both very friendly and now I know they are obviously very good at what they do. Zero mess left behind! I came home and other than a new shiny ceiling it was as if they had not been there. Shane was quick to get me the invoice and took time to explain it all and was flexible when queried one of the items. Shane made the payment quick and easy. Many thanks to Shane and his team including Jerome and 2 painters. I would highly recommend Wow and easily have them all back for my next project.

I had expectations and they delivered. I moved into an older townhouse so lots of skimming and smoothing out required. Daniel and Jerome did a wonderful job of the two rooms requiring such work. Stairwells and bedrooms are gorgeous now. It took two days for the work to be done due to the whole process, but was worth it in the end. The rest of the crew were polite and friendly upon arrival. I felt comfortable leaving my empty home with them for the day. Any concerns I had on the end of the first day were quickly addressed. Jerome was very pleasant to talk with and quickly ensured the work was WOW! Thank you WOW team!!!

We hired WOW to have some painting at our vocal performance studio (Chorus Studio) and had a wonderful experience with them. Jack, the project consultant, was extremely responsive, kind and professional. When we had to postpone our scheduled paint day due to flooding, Jack was so understanding and checked in with us to offer resources and recommendation for the restoration process. Francesca and her team, Mel and Walter, were also fantastic to work with - they provided comprehensive information for the project and walked us through preparing the rooms for painting and checked in with us the day of to ensure that the paint job was done to our specifications. We were very pleased with our Wow 1 Day Painting experience! The painters showed up on time and got right to work. They were very friendly and their attention to detail was excellent. They were careful to protect counters, floors, etc... When we realized the paint we’d chosen for our kitchen was not going to have enough contrast, she happily went through some other samples and help chose the most beautiful colour. Wow! Is exactly what I said when I came home to my freshly painted house. Shane was wonderful from start to finish. He was very curteous when he came to give me a quote. Answered all my questions including “do you really do it in 1 day?!” The answer was yes. He gave me my quote within 15 minutes. Date was set for a few weeks later. Received a confirmation call the day before. The crew were here on time at 8am and were done by 4pm. Other than removing “clutter”, I didn’t have to do a thing. Need a painter? Look no further. Wow 1 Day will take care of the most complicated of jobs. We had a ceiling with severe water damage, cracks in the drywall and concrete, and a previously botched paint job from another painting company. We had lost hope. Pieter, Mike, and Jeannette from Wow 1 Day came to the rescue and completely repaired and painted our ceiling. Looks like new now! Highly recommended. High quality, affordable, and professional.
