Interesting display

Davis Hills

Neat to see but doesn't match the marketing.

Marquis Knight

Bit of a joke. The museum is nothing. One jumpsuit from our Canadian astronaut, and a little blurb about the Canadian Arm. Your 7 year old could print it out from the Web. The movies in the planetarium style seating were OK. But still.....

MATHIEU GUERY

(Translated) Probably, I visited on the return trip and was conquered by nature. It is worth recommending to you. (Original) 大概,我是回程参观的,很被大自然所征服。值得向你推荐。

The movies were in interesting but there's not much of a museum.

(Translated) Excellent Aurora Borealis (aurora) explanatory films. 360 degree view in a kind of planetarium. Highly recommended. (Original) Hervorragende, die Aurora Borealis (Polarlicht) erklärende Filme. 360 Grad-Sicht in einer Art Planetarium. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Felt it to be very informative. Being I'm not from the area I would have loved a DVD of these two showings to share with my son at home (whose big on outer space and a chemist by trade).

A unique facility built in 1996 to feature the amazing phenomena known as the 'Northern Lights' or 'Aurora borealis', the Northern Lights Centre boasts state-of-the-art panoramic video and surround-sound systems. The Northern Lights Centre also incorporates interactive displays that explain the science and folklore of the Northern Lights with the latest information about the Canadian space program. Canadian rocket technology played an important part in early Northern Lights research. The spectacular dancing Northern Lights are showcased in Yukon's Northern Lights, a video that is broadcast in the NLC's domed 100-seat theatre daily throughout the summer season. During the winter season, nature puts on frequent displays of colorful lights outdoors so the Northern Lights Centre is used for community events, space science education, and movies.

This place was closed/only open seasonally. I could not find an opening date on the website and there was no recording when I called the phone number.

Thought the shows were going to be in the Omni theater, but they only used a rectangular size ( like a bigger theatre)

Impressive show, good staff

Nice attraction in Watson Lake. Interesting show.

We didn't think this was worth the admission charged. The Northern Lights are so fascinating we thought this would be good. It did not offer anything more than the limited knowledge we already have...

Linda Ross

(Translated) Learn about the aurora borealis and see a circular cinema of the aurora borealis. It makes the mouth water. (Original) Apprendre sur les aurores boréales et voir sur un cinéma circulaire des aurores boréales. Ça met l’eau à la bouche.

Ken Clarke

Alida Sordahl

Definitely a tourist attraction. No matter where you sat, viewing the whole ceiling was impossible.

Volle Kanne

(Translated) Two well-made, interesting films about the solar flares and the northern lights, of course, only in English. Not more. Small souvenir shop. (Original) Zwei gut gemachte, interessante Filme über die Sonneneruptionen und das Nordlicht natürlich nur in englisch. Mehr nicht. Kleiner Andenkenshop.

Brian Clifford

Very neat show

Joel Smith

Very good host, great show, well worth checking it out, surprised to enjoy such a great experience in such a small town. Thank-you.

Peg Jensen

Really disappointed. From everything I had been reading I though that this place would have offered more than the film. I thought it would be full of info but it wasn't. Staff very quiet and timid. Could make so much more of this place given the admission charged. However saying all that the film was good and the cinema was comfy with great sound.
