I went here 2 years ago for a tattoo and they were awesome. I went in today and was a horrible experience. the lady at the front was rude and awkward af just asking her questions on what the next steps are was like pulling teeth and very short with her answers when booking the appointment. I totally felt unwelcomed I took my business elsewhere. Glad I did the next shop was very welcoming to new members. Its too bad all I wanted was a new tattoo. The artists are good but the front desk needs to go.

From start to finish my piercing experience with Deacon was excellent. The booking process was simple, and the pre-appointment communication was clear, direct, and well timed. When we arrived at Wonderland we were greeted outside by a lovely receptionist who took time to make sure we were comfortable before Deacon could meet with us. When Deacon came out to do our health checks he noted my pronoun pin and was very cool about it. I felt safe and seen immediately, which is important from someone who's about to alter your body. That vibe only strengthened as the process progressed. In every way and every moment Deacon emphasized clear and informed consent. It's clear that he's passionate about and takes great pride in his work. There was no pressure in choosing the jewelry options. Deacon simply explained the differences in each piece, and let me decide what was best for myself. I appreciate the certainty that the metals used are clean and suitable for my skin, and I felt like I had just enough choice to feel freedom without being overwhelmed. All of the tools used were sanitized in front of me, and I love that it's a fully disposable shop for ultimate health and safety. When it came time for the piercing itself Deacon explained every step, coached me through breathing, and was so gentle and precise that I didn't feel any pain. I'm truly impressed by Deacon and Wonderland. The next time I want a piercing I won't hesitate to call. I don't think the process could be improved.

I didn’t know what to really expect going into my appointment for a tattoo with Wayne. The place looks professional, the price is higher than most local guys, he has a receptionist and he is booked solid for a long time. I had a good feeling about it based on these things but nonetheless you never know because it’s hard for a stranger, who you’ve never met before, guess what you want and what you expect your tattoo to look like. This is where I notice most artists fail. They want to tattoo what they think you want versus what you really want, and some could be fussy about getting them to modify their drawing to your liking. This wasn’t the case at all with Wayne. I sent an e-mail the week of my appointment with pictures and detailed explanation of what I want. I showed up for my appointment, he had the drawing ready with what I requested minus some minor modifications that I requested on the day of, as well as some other things he asked me about what I think and want to adjust to the drawing. It was hassle free, he was more than willing to do these adjustments and any other changes. He aimed to please me and make sure I am satisfied. This wasn’t my first tattoo and for the most part during a session I like to just put my ear buds in and listen to music and occasionally chat a bit. This time it was different, I didn’t put my earphones in once, I talked to Wayne for the whole 5+ hours I was there. He is absolutely a wonderful human being for lack of better words. His input on random topics of conversation is very positive and I’m glad I had the privilege of getting a tattoo from him. His experience and talent speaks through his work and I am looking forward to another tattoo in the future from him. The tattoo I got was a portrait of my beloved dog. He captured in the tattoo all the tidbits I had pointed out that characterized him and it couldn’t have turned out any better. Thank you so much Wayne, you know how much this tattoo meant to me.

As others have said, Deacon was excellent with my 8 year old daughter. Side note: do your homework. I had no idea how expense the jewelery would be. The studs were $40 each ($80 total) plus $40 for the backs of the studs. That caught me totally off guard when it came time to pay. Not the Studios fault at all, just wanted to help another parent out there be aware.

I had called in to make an appointment, and the receptionist was so sweet and so patient with me. I did not have a good experience here, I walked in to inquire about tattoos inks and if what they use contains heavy metals mainly nickel. The lady at the counter was condescending and rude had no idea what was in the tattoo ink's they carry and said and I quote " they have never used metal in tattoo ink, like maybe in the 40's or something " I personally wanted to find a place where I was comfortable with and a shop that knows there stuff and didn't mind answering questions. I don't need to be talked down too I don't work in this industry so I shouldn't be expected to know everything and just hand over my money and be ok with what I get.. I would not recommend this place.

Wayne is amazing. He does such great work. He did 4 amazing variations of a tribute tattoo for my sister who passed away and was a big fan of his work. They are the same but each unique. He also made the time for me to do an additional small tattoo. So accommodating, such a great artist and is so good at what he does. You can definitely tell when someone has a passion for why they do. The shop is very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend it.

They have really cool paintings and the best piercer around, Deacon will make you feel comfortable with any piercing experience. I tell all of my friends it's the only place I trust for a good clean, straight piercing. I have never had an issue with questions, healing instructions, ect. I got a piercing in the middle of my face (on my lip) and he made it perfectly centre with precision and ease that can only come from knowledge and experience. If you have questions or are second guessing getting something done GO SEE HIM!! He will give you suggestions and advice and help you find what you want. I have been going to Deacon for my piercings for almost 4 years now (he has pierced me 8 times) and I will never EVER go to anyone else. Deacon is genuinely the nicest guy, he’s incredibly knowledgeable & professional, and has the ability to put you at ease and make you feel comfortable from the time you walk into the studio, ‘til the time you walk out. The studio is super clean and is always stocked with loads of jewelry options (sometimes so many that it can be hard to choose just one!) for any and all piercings. As soon as I entered the studio and began talking to him, that feeling disappeared — it was like I was in the presence of a friend and I knew it was going to be a-okay. Blown away! I came in with an idea with what I would like for a tattoo, including many specifications. Wayne found a way to include all the details I had been hoping for, and his original watercolour design was more than I could ever dream of. He included everything I had asked for, and went above and beyond all my expectations. Before my tattoo, they made sure than the stencil was perfect and everything was completely sanitary and the atmosphere was very inviting. During, he made great conversation which helped with the pain I had near the end. Afterwards, he made sure that everything was what I had in mind, down to the speckles. A huge bonus was bringing home the original art that he created to design my tattoo. 10/10 would recommend to everyone I know! Can’t wait to go back!

We took our 9 year old daughter to get her ears pierced for the first time yesterday. Deacon was phenomenal with her. He talked both her and us through the types of earrings to buy and why one might be better than the other. When it came time to do the piercing he spoke directly to my daughter in a calm way. When she got anxious before the first piercing he helped her clam down with breathing exercises. She was a champ on the first piercing and cried but again Deacon help her calm down and we took a little break. After about 4 or 5 minutes she said. Hey Mom it doesn't hurt anymore. We moved on to the second ear and there was less anxiety and less crying. She was all smiles just minutes after we were done and we did the big reveal in the lobby with her friend and my husband. The whole time he was very professional and really knew how to work with young kids. I highly recommend using them for piercing at any age! (Note I believe you need to be 8 or older for them to do the piercing)

I've now spent about 16 hours getting tattoed by Wayne and they've all been awesome. Everything I've taken him (vague ideas or a bunch of random things I want put together), he's come up with a way to make it better than it looked in my head. The store is bright and clean and just as welcoming when it's your first tattoo (like my mom's last weekend) or your fourth (or more). Audrey at the desk is awesome. The addition of the Netflix option is nice, but you'll probably just end up talking to Wayne because he's got lots of interesting stories - there's neither awkward silence or weird over sharing which I've experienced with other artists. One long review so buckle up. Over a year ago I got my septum done at a different shop, a quick session, 10 minutes top. Needle in and out, with the go to horse shoe and little to no explanation on how to care for it. It was also quite the hostile environment. Eventually I took out my piercing because the smell was too much. More than a year later, I do my research and decide to get my septum done again, stumbled upon Wonderland and behold THE place to actually learn about your piercing. The piercer, I don’t know his name, gave me a lengthy narrative (which actually helped me) on how to take care of the piercing properly AND gave me the absolute perfect piece of jewellery for my face. (He also added that the smell is a normal thing and with proper care it shouldn’t be overwhelming) He took the time to find that sweet spot for my septum and might I add, he took the time to thoroughly sterilize everything. His little jokes here and there as well as his very expressive face helped glue the things I needed to remember into my brain. So I can say I won’t forget how to care for it. Overall, the piercer and the front desk girl (so sorry I didn’t get names) made me feel at home and were beyond nice. The girl told me about a few places I should check out while I’m on my trip and the piercer was by far the best I’ve had. Considering I have a decent amount. I’m definitely gonna come back when I have the time to for more piercings, and I 100% recommend Wonderland. Thanks guys for the warm welcome as well as my new piercing I adore.

I had my bellybutton pierced here but it was very crooked and the staff behaved arrogantly. It was so lopsided that u could pierce a straight hole properly centered without intersecting the initial piercing. Although i didnt want to, I had to take it out to heal because no jewelry would sit straight and it was frustrating for me. Deacon offered to repierce it but I didn't feel comfortable doing so and he refused to give me a refund. I spent a lot of money and now have an ugly scar in a wonky position on my stomach. It's been almost 3 months since i took the piercing out and 2 days ago I went to Bad Buddha in Toronto to have it redone, I'd suggest them as a safe alternative. The piercer was extra careful and ensured the placement was perfect. It was also only $20! I would not risk going here for a piercing!

Great experience! I've got a lot of piercings, but this was my first since moving to KW. I did my research and chatted with a few different piercers. Deacon is absolutely wonderful! He is super laid back and easy to talk to. He's very professional, and is very thorough when explaining everything. This would be particularly helpful if you're a piercing newbie. He's everything you want in a piercer. Audrey is also very lovely! The shop itself is very clean. No concerns at all about cleanliness or sanitation practices. I will say they are a bit more expensive than other shops in the area (though this is also dependent on jewelry chosen). Well worth it though. Think about it: you are trusting someone to literally put a hole in your body. Do you want to cheap out on it and have something go wrong? Or do you want to pay a little extra to know it's done right, the jewelry is high quality, and you can feel completely comfortable with your piercer? I know what I'd choose. Will definitely return when I inevitably decide it's time to get yet another piercing.

I have had two sessions there with Wayne. First On my right arm went very well, better then I imagined. My second session was for the start of a sleeve, he covered up my old tattoo very well. We had some communication issues in the beginning due to emails and on my part as well (I forgot a few things), but when I went in for my appointment, we got everything the way I wanted (better actually), Wayne has a good way picturing things before they are done. I have a couple more appointments for my sleeve set up, and I’m super excited for them. Super clean, he goes above and beyond cleanliness, I was super impressed by how clean he is with everything. Deacon is amazing. He has done 3 out of my 14 piercings and I will continue going to him. Deacon ensures that all your questions are answered, and not only do you go to get a piercing, but he educates you as well and makes you feel comfortable. As a result of this, an appointment can be 45 minutes instead of 5 like at some other places where they pierce you and send you away. Deacon truly cares about his clients and will help you with any issues you have with your piercing. At one point, I was giving him daily updates over instagram on my fresh piercings and asking so many questions (which he encouraged) and he was so helpful. I could tell he truly was happy to help. If you’re looking to get a piercing that is $30 including jewellery and tax, save your money and go here. You really do get what you pay for. The piercings that deacon did for me were my only ones that haven’t gotten infected during the healing process and all the soreness has gone away within the day I got them. I would recommend deacon to anyone. He not only knows what he’s doing, he is also incredibly helpful and truly cares about each and every person he pierces.
