I have two medium sized tattoos that Chris has done for me and I absolutely love them and frequently get compliments on them! I always feel happy and comfortable going to the shop, I also love chatting with his wife who is sometimes around while I'm getting tattooed❤️ He really listens to what I want and we come to an agreement together on how it is going to look best on me. Each design was a different interpretation and I believe that choosing between them was actually the most difficult part. Two Plus Eight!

Chris is the real deal - he has EXTREME talent. My husband had been searching for nearly six years to find 'the best tattoo artist' and after much research, he found Torchlight. He has had a couple of sessions on his tattoo (it's a big one so it takes more than one sitting) and to be frank it is truly a remarkable piece of artwork. But don't take my word for his abilities, just go on the website and you'll see for yourself!

I went to Torchlight this past week to get a tattoo that I have been wanting for a few years now. Chris was amazing from the first communication & introduction via email, to the back and forth conversations regarding available booking dates etc. After a couple of lock-downs my appointment day finally came and I am so happy with the results. The studio is amazing, so clean, and made me feel at ease immediately. The background music was so soothing it almost made me forget about what was happening on my arm. All through the process Chris always made sure to ask if I was okay, or needed anything. I would 100% recommend Chris to anyone in the Kitchener-Waterloo area looking for their first or next tattoo. I already have some plans in mind on how I can build upon what he did for me this past week. I am sure to be contacting him again soon!

Torchlight Tattoo is not your average tattoo studio, it will exceed all your expectations. Chris is an absolute gentleman who’s artistic ability is undeniable and extends way beyond tattooing. His work within other mediums is just as incredible. His level artistic ability is pretty much a super power. Chris is the best tattooer I have ever been to! I got my first piece from him and I could not be happier with it. The experience was truly unique and has set the bar for the rest of my tattoo experiences from now on. The studio is immaculate. The environment is really comfortable. When I arrived, Chris and Andrea offered that I could take some time to do a meditation before starting because I was feeling anxious. They showed me a YouTube meditation for reducing anxiety and made sure that I felt comfortable before we started the appointment. Nobody has ever done that before! Chris offered lots of breaks and was really kind about it when I needed to take one. They give you the aftercare instructions verbally, then follow up with an email with where to find the instructions for aftercare on their website for my reference. I’ve only ever been told instructions verbally, or had a printout handed to me. Being able to refer back to the aftercare info on the website is a great reference, especially for people who are getting their first tattoo. The tattoo turned out BEAUTIFULLY and is by far my best one. I will definitely be back! You will not be disappointed if you go to Torchlight.

Breath-taking, finished masterpiece!! Chris' original drawing was quite beautiful on paper but to see the end result after my second sitting and 19 months of covid patience is just AH-MAZING! I had pondered for years about the elements of this piece and could not have chosen a better artist to complete it.
